Buyers want a storage system, and we cannot get them past the word 'price'.

A storage system is bought once, by someone who has never bought one. The factory owner or facility head knows their electricity bill and their outages. They do not know what size, what chemistry or what warranty to ask for, and the first maker who explains it clearly usually leads the conversation.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Renewable energy engineers inspect modules and electrical assemblies

In one paragraph

Energy storage systems combine battery modules, an inverter or converter, controls and a cabinet into a unit that stores power for a factory, a building or a site. GullySales helps their makers explain the system to buyers who are new to it, qualify enquiries by load and use, and follow up long quotations.

Where battery packs are components for other products, a storage system is a project, with a site visit, a load study and a longer wait for the decision.

Last updated 16 Oct 2026. Licence, certification, labelling and advertising rules for solar & renewable energy equipment differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if energy storage systems is what you make or sell.

  • Makers of commercial and industrial battery storage cabinets
  • Integrators building storage for solar-plus-storage projects
  • Makers of containerised storage for small sites
  • Builders of backup and peak-support systems for factories and buildings

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Firms who need us to state savings, payback or grid-service income. Those are for your own engineer and the buyer's electricity records
  • Makers without a way to survey and commission at the buyer's site

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of energy storage systems.

  1. The load and the electricity bill

A serious buyer shares a bill and a load pattern, and the maker proposes a size. A buyer who shares neither is exploring.

  2. Site survey and layout

Someone from the maker visits, checks space, cooling, earthing and access, and returns with a drawing and a quotation. This visit is where trust is made.

  3. Safety, approvals and insurance questions

Buyers worry about fire and permission. What is required varies by site and authority, so the page should invite the question and say your engineer answers it.

  4. Warranty and service after commissioning

The buyer asks who monitors the system and who attends a fault. A written service arrangement is part of the purchase.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell energy storage systems.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Buyers do not understand storage”

A page full of kilowatt-hour figures and chemistry names loses them. They want to know what it does for their plant in plain words.

  • “The sales cycle is long and we forget to call”

A site survey, a drawing, a quotation and an approval inside the buyer's firm take time. The maker who calls at the right moment is remembered.

  • “Solar EPC firms bring us leads but we cannot follow them”

A referral from an EPC partner arrives as a name and a number. Nobody records what was promised or asked.

The scope

The work we would propose for energy storage systems.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for energy storage systems.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A storage explainer page set

Lets a buyer understand the offer before the first call.

  2. A site enquiry form

Brings the bill, the load and the purpose to the maker with the first message.

  3. A partner referral record

Tracks leads from EPC firms and keeps the partner informed.

  4. A proposal follow-up routine

Keeps the long conversation alive without chasing.

  5. A service arrangement summary

Answers the question every buyer asks before approving the purchase.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified site enquiries
  • Site surveys booked
  • Follow-up on each proposal
  • Trial orders won
  • Repeat orders
  • Referrals from EPC partners

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Systems you have built or proposed, with the site type
  • A sample quotation and drawing
  • Service and monitoring arrangement
  • List of solar EPC firms who refer work to you
  • Cell and inverter suppliers you work with

Export and new regions

Selling energy storage systems beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Integrators and distributors abroad

Overseas demand comes through integrators and distributors who add local installation. Existing export buyers come first.

  2. Containerised shipping and local rules

Storage units travel as freight with special handling. What a country requires for import is checked by your adviser, not stated by us.

FAQ

Questions about selling energy storage systems.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we explain storage to a buyer who has never seen it?
Start with their problem: the outage, the demand charge on the bill, the diesel set. Then show what the system does at that site. Chemistry comes last.
Can you promise buyers they will save money?
No. Savings depend on the buyer's tariff and load, and only your engineer can work them out from the bill. We would not publish a number we cannot support.
Do EPC partners matter for storage?
Yes. A solar installer meets the buyer first and may refer storage. A clear partner routine decides whether they refer you again.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

Your brief

Tell us what you need, and we will read it before we call.

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.
