Manufacturing · Solar & Renewable Energy Equipment

We fabricate good structures, and every order is decided on the rate per kilowatt.

A structure fabricator is asked for a rate per kilowatt before anyone has seen a drawing. The EPC buyer sends the same request to five workshops and picks the cheapest that can deliver to site. Your own advantage, a clean drawing process and reliable delivery, is invisible in a one-line rate.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Fabricators inspect laser-cut panels and bent metal enclosures

In one paragraph

Solar mounting structures are the galvanised or aluminium frames, rails and clamps that hold panels on a roof or on the ground. GullySales helps fabricators of these structures show their drawings, coating and past supply to EPC firms, answer quotations quickly, and win repeat orders on something other than the lowest rate.

The way out is to let the buyer see how you work before the rate comes back: the design basis you use, the coating you apply, and the sites you have already supplied.

Last updated 16 Oct 2026. Licence, certification, labelling and advertising rules for solar & renewable energy equipment differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if solar mounting structures is what you make or sell.

  • Workshops fabricating hot-dip galvanised or pre-galvanised structures for rooftop projects
  • Makers of aluminium rail and clamp systems for sloped and flat roofs
  • Fabricators of ground-mount structures for larger plants
  • Sheet metal shops adding solar structures to an existing order book

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Shops that only fabricate to a customer's drawing and never want to be known outside one customer
  • Firms asking us to state wind load or structural ratings that their engineer has not signed off

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of solar mounting structures.

  1. The layout drawing and the bill of quantity

EPC buyers send a roof layout or site plan and ask for a quotation against a quantity of kilowatts. The firm that returns a clear bill of materials with the quotation looks organised.

  2. Coating and material proof

Galvanising thickness, steel grade and the mill or coating test reports are asked for before a trial order. Having them ready is a mark of a workshop that is used to inspection.

  3. Delivery to the site on a date

Structures arrive before panels, and a late delivery holds the whole job. Buyers ask which sites you have already supplied and how you pack and load.

  4. Past projects photographed

A picture of an installed structure on a real roof, with a site name that the EPC firm can ring, counts more than any claim.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell solar mounting structures.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Every quotation is just a rate comparison”

The request arrives as a number to beat. Without a design note, the coating details and a site list, the rate is the only thing a buyer can compare.

  • “We send the quote and the EPC firm vanishes”

The project may be delayed, or may have gone to someone else. Without a call, you never learn which, and cannot plan steel purchase.

  • “Large EPC firms keep a few fixed vendors”

Getting in means a first order, and a first order means being found by the person who buys structures, not the one who buys panels.

The scope

The work we would propose for solar mounting structures.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for solar mounting structures.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A structure quotation template with bill of materials

Makes your quotation easy to compare on more than the rate and shows that you have read the layout.

  2. A coating and material proof sheet

Collects test reports and photographs into one document, so you send the same answer each time.

  3. A project gallery with installed sites

Turns past supply into a reason to trust a new workshop.

  4. An EPC purchase contact list

Gives your sales person a named person to call at each firm, and a record of when you last called.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified structure enquiries
  • Quotation requests with a layout drawing
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • Trial orders won
  • Repeat orders from EPC firms
  • Drawings received per enquiry

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Sample layout drawings and the quotations that came from them
  • Photographs of installed structures with site names you may use
  • Galvanising or material test reports you hold
  • List of EPC firms you have supplied and those you lost
  • Your usual delivery radius and packing method

Export and new regions

Selling solar mounting structures beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Where structures travel

Fabricated structures are bulky and freight is a large share of the landed cost, so overseas interest is usually from developers in nearby regions or from existing customers who expand abroad. We would start with those buyers.

  2. Drawings and packing for export

An overseas buyer asks for a drawing set, a material specification and a packing method that survives shipping. Which standards they require is theirs to state and yours to confirm.

FAQ

Questions about selling solar mounting structures.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can marketing help when buyers only ask for a rate?
Partly. It cannot stop a buyer asking for a rate, but a quotation with a bill of materials, coating proof and site list gives them a second thing to compare. That changes which firms get a trial order.
Should we put structure designs on the website?
Show what your engineer is happy to publish, such as a typical roof layout. Never state a load rating or a design standard that your own engineer has not confirmed.
How do we reach EPC purchase teams?
By building a list of EPC firms in your delivery area, finding the person who buys structures, and calling with a short message and a sample quotation. It is slow work but it is the work.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

  • A baseline before anything starts

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
