Manufacturing companies · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the exact product and specification a buyer is searching.

SEO for a manufacturing company is the work of ranking for specific technical searches, such as a product category paired with a material or certification. This matters more than ranking for a broad term like manufacturing company. GullySales writes a page for each product category and clears the site faults that stop them appearing at all.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of manufacturing companies at work in India

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For manufacturing companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Specific product pages outrank a single catalogue page”

A dedicated page for one product category, separate from another, ranks for both searches instead of neither.

  • “Certification searches carry strong buying intent”

A search combining a product with a specific quality certification reflects a buyer already deep in evaluation, and a clear page answering it converts well.

  • “Export market searches need locale-specific content”

A manufacturer targeting a specific export market should build content addressing that market's own terminology and requirements, not just translate the domestic page.

What we do

What we deliver for manufacturing companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Product category pages

A dedicated page for each product category, separate from a single combined catalogue page.

Result: The company ranks for each product searched, not only the broadest term.

  2. Certification and product combination pages

Pages combining a product with a specific quality certification, matching a buyer already deep in evaluation.

Result: A buyer close to deciding finds exactly the page answering their check.

  3. Export market pages with local terminology

Pages built for a specific export market's own terminology and requirements, rather than a translated domestic page.

Result: An overseas buyer finds language written for their own market.

  4. Technical fixes keeping pages out of results

Site speed, broken links and other technical faults fixed so well-written product pages can actually appear in search.

Result: Good content stops being invisible to search engines.

  5. Search performance in the report

RFQs traced to search included in the report against your baseline.

Result: You see which product searches are actually bringing in RFQs.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a buyer types when he needs a supplier for a part or a product, and the page that answers it.

custom forged component manufacturer from drawing
A drawing-based page. State the materials, processes and size range you work in, the drawing formats you accept and what a buyer sends to get a quote, such as a drawing, a quantity and a grade.
ISO 9001 certified manufacturer of industrial fasteners
A quality page. Show the certificate itself, the issuing body, the scope it covers, and the in-house tests you run. State only what is on the certificate.
private label manufacturer for cosmetics or food
A contract manufacturing page. Say what you make, the minimum order, who owns the formulation, the licences you hold and how a sample is approved before production.
textile manufacturer for export orders
An export page. Give the fabrics or garments you make, the compliance audits you have passed, the order sizes you take and the ports you ship through, without naming a buyer unless they agree.
manufacturer or trader, factory visit near me
A factory page. Show the shop floor, the machines, the testing area and the address, and invite a visit. Buyers search this when they have been burned by a trader posing as a maker.
MOQ for bulk order of plastic or steel components
A terms page. Say how a minimum order is set, what changes it, and how a repeat order is priced and scheduled. A buyer who understands this sends a better enquiry.

Who it is for

This is written for these manufacturing companies.

  • Component and parts manufacturers
  • Industrial equipment manufacturers
  • Chemical and process manufacturers
  • Textile and garment manufacturers
  • Packaging manufacturers
  • Contract and private label manufacturers
  • Export-oriented manufacturing units
  • Manufacturers supplying government and institutional buyers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How long does SEO take for a manufacturer?
SEO takes months rather than weeks, longer for a crowded product category. Certification-specific and narrower pages can rank sooner, and we can tell you what to expect for your categories after the first conversation.
Does SEO matter if most sales go through distributors?
Yes, distributors themselves often search to evaluate new manufacturers to represent, alongside buyers doing direct research.
Should we have a separate page for each product we make?
Yes, for each product or family a buyer might name when searching: the material, grade and size on one page. Keep the very rare items on a list page. A home page that lists forty products ranks for none of them.
Can we use the same page for the India and the export buyer?
Better to have two. An Indian buyer wants a rate, a delivery route and GST. An export buyer wants certificates, incoterms and packing. Mixing both makes each reader hunt. Share the product facts and change the commercial section.
Do we need to advertise?
Most manufacturers gain more first from a faster quote and a clearer capability page. Advertising helps when one product category or export market needs pushing this quarter.
Our buyers are engineers. Will your copy be technically right?
Only if your engineers check it, so we build that step in. We draft from your drawings, machine list and test certificates. Someone on your side signs off every capability claim before it goes live.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
