NGOs · Pay per click advertising

Use the grant account first and donor money last, if at all.

Paid advertising for an NGO is a narrow tool: an appeal with a closing date, a volunteer drive, a search for one programme in one place. GullySales sets up the in-kind search grant an eligible organisation can apply for, and says plainly where donated money should not go on clicks.

A roadside billboard on a steel mast with a maintenance catwalk and ladder, and a coin meter on a post at its foot: the meter's counter has just clicked over and a coin is dropping into the slot

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For NGOs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • There is a grant account before there is a budget

Google runs an in-kind search grant for non-profits it judges eligible. The application, the policies and the monthly upkeep are real work, paid for in clicks rather than in donations.

  • A general donate appeal converts badly on search

Somebody searching how to help does not know your name and rarely gives on a first visit. Advertising works on an appeal with a deadline or a programme with a place attached.

  • Your trustees will ask what a click cost

Money not spent on the programme is questioned in the board meeting and in the accounts. Advertising that cannot be shown against donations received is hard to defend twice.

What we do

What we deliver for NGOs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The in-kind grant account applied for and kept in order

The application prepared, the account structured to their policies, and the monthly upkeep those policies require done on a routine.

Result: Search advertising runs without touching donated money.

  2. Campaigns limited to a dated appeal or a placed programme

Budget only behind an appeal with a closing date, a programme in a named district, or a volunteer drive for specific shifts.

Result: Every campaign has something to be judged against.

  3. A negative keyword list written for this sector

NGO jobs, internship, how to start an NGO, registration process, list of NGOs and the scam searches, excluded before anything runs.

Result: The budget stops going to students and job seekers.

  4. Landing pages that take the donation

A click that lands on the programme and the payment step rather than the homepage, tested on a phone before the campaign opens.

Result: A donor who clicked can finish giving in one screen.

  5. Volunteer campaigns built on dated shifts

Advertising for a named task at a named place on a named Saturday, with the sign-up going to a person who replies.

Result: Sign-ups arrive already matched to a shift.

  6. Cost per donation and per CSR enquiry reported monthly

Spend, donations received and corporate enquiries reported each month against the baseline, in a form a trustee can read.

Result: The board question is answered before it is asked.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for NGOs

  1. 1

Audit the donor and CSR journey

We check how a CSR manager or an individual donor finds you today, whether the 80G and FCRA status is visible, and how fast a donation-page enquiry gets a reply.

  2. 2

    Fix the programme pages

A page for each programme, with the cause, the district, the rupee ask and the current annual report, replacing one general appeal page that serves nobody.

  3. 3

Put CSR conversations in a CRM

Every corporate enquiry, past partnership and renewal date recorded in one place, so a programme officer's transfer or leave does not lose the relationship.

  4. 4

    Build visibility for the cause

Search and social content built around the specific programme and district, so the NGO is found by the CSR team searching for that exact combination.

  5. 5

    Report on enquiries and commitments

A monthly report of donor and CSR enquiries, how many turned into a commitment, and where in the year renewal conversations are due.

    • A palette that carries the values
    • Reviewed with the trust

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we advertise without spending donor money?
An eligible non-profit can apply for Google's in-kind search grant, which runs on their money rather than yours. Eligibility and the policies are theirs to set and to change, so treat the application as the first step. Keep any paid spend beyond it small and measured.
Do advertisements bring CSR partners?
Rarely on their own. A CSR manager searches once and then reads for a week, so the pages matter more than the click. A small budget on cause and district terms puts you in front of that first search.
How is this different from a fundraising consultant?
A fundraising consultant usually builds one campaign. We build the pages, the CRM record and the reply routine so every CSR enquiry and donor question is tracked after the campaign ends, not just during it.
Do you work with our CSR partners directly?
We build the material and the process; the relationship and the ask stay with your team. Where useful, we join a review call to walk through the reporting.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
