Optical businesses · Branding

Own the case, the cloth and the counter that a customer keeps for years.

Branding for an optical shop covers everything a customer handles between one eye test and the next, from the spectacle case in a handbag to the board outside. GullySales settles the look across the shop, the case and the prescription card, and decides what you stand for against the chains.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Your strongest brand asset lives in a handbag

The case and the cleaning cloth are opened every day for two years. Most shops hand over a blank one with somebody else's logo on it.

  • The chains sell a price, so you sell a person

The optometrist who tested you, by name, in a room you can see. That is the thing a website is structurally unable to copy.

  • The frame wall is the interior and the interior is the brand

How the frames are lit and spaced tells a customer in one second whether this is a careful shop or a bargain counter.

  • The prescription card outlives the sale

It goes into a file at home and comes out at the next test, sometimes in a different shop. Put your name, the date and the next check on it.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A positioning line for a shop, not a chain

One sentence on what your counter does that a website cannot, agreed with you and used on the board, the site and the profile.

Result: Staff and customers describe the shop the same way.

  2. Case, cloth and pouch carrying the shop's name

The items a customer keeps, produced in your colours with the shop name, address and number where a hand will see them.

Result: Your shop is in the customer's bag for two years.

  3. A prescription card worth keeping

The power, the date, the optometrist's name and when the next check is due, printed on a card that fits a wallet.

Result: The next test starts from your card.

  4. The board, window and signage set

A shopfront that says what you do and that testing happens inside, designed to be read from across the road.

Result: Passers-by understand the shop without entering.

  5. The testing room presented as part of the shop

The optometrist's room tidied, named and photographed, with qualifications shown where a customer waiting can read them.

Result: The clinical side of the shop is visible, not hidden.

  6. A photograph set of the real shop

A consistent set of pictures of the shelves, counter, staff and room, used across the profile, the site and social posts.

Result: Everywhere you appear looks like the same business.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

All case studies
  • France Fox

    Situation
Eco claims are common enough in menswear that buyers discount them on sight. France Fox had a real production story and nowhere to set it out, which is the wrong way round.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a new name and logo?
Usually not. An old name with twenty years behind it in the locality is an asset. The case, the card, the board and the shelves change how the shop feels far more cheaply than a rebrand does.
How do we look premium without a new fit-out?
Light and space on the frame wall, a clean counter, a named optometrist and a proper case at handover. Those four are inexpensive and they are what a customer notices in the first minute.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
