Optical businesses · Pay per click advertising

Pay for the eye test within a few kilometres, not for spectacles online.

Pay per click advertising for an optical shop buys the searches a national retailer cannot serve, such as an eye test nearby or glasses ready the same evening. GullySales sets a tight radius, blocks the online shopping words, and runs the ads while your optometrist is in the shop.

What pay per click advertising means

Pay per click advertising (PPC) is paying a fee each time someone clicks your advert on Google or another platform. It puts you at the top of a search page immediately, instead of waiting for ranking to build. GullySales sets the targeting, writes the ad text and checks spend daily against enquiries received.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Product words are an auction you cannot win

The online retailers bid on frames and lenses every hour of the day. The words for a test, a fitting and a repair are cheap and close to unclaimed.

  • The radius is the whole campaign

Nobody crosses the city for an eye test. Draw the circle at the distance your existing customers travel and refuse to pay outside it.

  • The ad runs when the optometrist does

A click at nine at night reaches a shutter. Schedule advertising to the hours somebody can answer and book a test.

  • Same-day fitting is the offer worth writing

Glasses collected by evening is something a website cannot promise. That line does more than any claim about quality eyewear.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Radius campaigns around each branch

One campaign per shop with a distance limit set from where your customers already come, rather than a city-wide setting.

Result: Every rupee is spent inside walking or riding distance.

  2. Blocked words for online shopping

Buy online, home delivery, discount codes and retailer brand names kept out of the account and reviewed monthly.

Result: You stop paying for people who were never going to visit.

  3. A booking page behind every ad

A page that offers an eye test slot with a time, the optometrist's name and the address, instead of the home page.

Result: A click ends in a test booked.

  4. A tracked number and WhatsApp link

A line used in advertising alone and a tagged WhatsApp button, so calls can be counted against the words that produced them.

Result: You know which search brought the customer in.

  5. Seasonal weighting for camps and school terms

Spend raised before school reopens and around the months your corporate camps run, and dropped in the weeks nothing is happening.

Result: The budget follows demand rather than the calendar.

  6. Cost per test and per frame sale reported

Spend measured against tests booked and purchases made, compared with the enquiry baseline agreed in the audit.

Result: The ads are judged on sales at the counter.

How the result is measured

  • Cost per click
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries from paid search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we bid on the eyewear brands we stock?
Rarely worth it. The brand's own site and the large retailers hold those words, and some brands restrict how a dealer may use their name in advertising. Read your dealership terms before you try. The same money does more on testing and fitting searches.
How much do we need to spend?
Enough to stay visible in your own radius through a full month, which is a small sum compared with a citywide campaign. The free audit sets that number, and it appears in your written fee note under media spend.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
