Optical businesses · Local SEO

Win the search somebody makes standing on the footpath outside.

Local SEO for an optical shop is the Maps listing that decides who walks in when a person nearby searches for an optical shop or an eye test. GullySales completes the profile with your optometrist, your real hours and pictures of the frame wall, and keeps recent reviews arriving.

A market cross in a small town square: a stepped stone cross of four worn tiers standing in a ring of cobbles, a coil of stall rope left on the bottom step, a chalk pitch marked out on the stones and a chalk arrow pointing in from the nearest lane

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Open now decides the evening walk-in

Most searching happens after work, and the filter is whoever is still open. A closing time nobody has updated costs you that customer every single day.

  • The frame wall is the photograph that matters

People want to know whether your range suits them before they push the door. A picture of the shelves does that better than a shopfront.

  • Say on the listing that an optometrist is in

A parent looking for a child's test is filtering on exactly that. If the profile does not say it, she assumes you only sell frames.

  • A landmark carries further than an address

People here find shops by the bus stop, the temple or the bakery next door. The pin, the description and the directions should use those.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile completed properly

Categories, the tests and lens work you do, payment options and the attributes that say an optometrist is on the premises.

Result: The listing describes a shop somebody would choose.

  2. Photographs of the shelves and the testing room

The frame wall, the counter, the testing room and the board outside, shot on an ordinary working day rather than bought from a library.

Result: A searcher recognises the shop when they arrive.

  3. Hours kept true, including festival closures

Daily timings, lunch closures and the days you shut for festivals updated in advance rather than after somebody has been turned away.

Result: Nobody arrives at a shutter and writes about it.

  4. The free test question answered on the profile

The questions people post publicly about testing, charges and timings, answered by your team instead of by a passing stranger.

Result: The question that decides a visit has your answer on it.

  5. Directory entries matched to the profile

Name, address, phone and timings made identical on JustDial and the older listings nobody has opened in years.

Result: Every listing points to the same shop and number.

  6. Calls, directions and walk-ins reported monthly

Profile calls, direction requests and people who said they found you on Maps, recorded at the counter against the audit baseline.

Result: You know what the listing is actually worth.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We have two shops on the same road. Should both be listed?
Yes, as separate listings with their own photographs, hours and reviews. A single listing splits nothing and sends people to the wrong door. Keep the names distinct by locality so neither is confused with the other.
Do reviews on Maps actually change walk-ins?
For a shop chosen by distance, they decide between you and the next one along. Somebody comparing two shops a street apart reads the recent reviews and little else. That is why the collection-counter ask matters.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
