Optical businesses · Social media

Post frames somebody can try on this evening, not eyewear inspiration.

Social media for an optical shop is a window that stays lit all week, showing frames on real faces and saying which are on the shelf today. GullySales plans the posts around your current stock, gets written consent before a customer appears, and links every post to a try-on.

A community noticeboard under a small pitched roof, posters layered four deep, with a fresh notice just pinned over the corner of an older one

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • If it is not on the shelf, do not post it

A picture of a frame you cannot produce sends the customer to a website that can. Post what is in the drawer this week.

  • A face sells a frame, so permission comes first

Written consent before a customer's photograph goes anywhere, including a staff member's own account. Ask at the counter, not afterwards.

  • Your audience is a few kilometres wide

A post seen across three states is worth nothing to a single shop. Every boost is limited to the distance somebody would travel for a fitting.

  • Weddings and festivals move sunglasses

Sunglasses and second pairs sell around weddings and the festive weeks. That is when the stock goes on the feed, not in the monsoon.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A weekly set of posts from current stock

Photographs of frames that are on the shelf now, with the shape, the price band and whether the lens can be fitted the same day.

Result: Everything posted can be tried on this week.

  2. A written consent note for customer photographs

A short permission form covering where the picture will appear and for how long, signed at the counter and filed.

Result: No customer is surprised to find their face on a page.

  3. A try-on link on every post

A WhatsApp button that opens a message naming the frame in the picture, so a viewer can ask about it in one tap.

Result: A post turns into a conversation at the counter.

  4. Boosts limited to your own radius

Any paid promotion set to the area around the shop and to the age groups you actually serve, rather than left on default.

Result: The reach you pay for can reach the door.

  5. Frames grouped by use and price band

Sets for reading, for screen work, for children and for sunglasses, each with an honest price band rather than a starting-from claim.

Result: A viewer finds the group they came for.

  6. Messages and try-ons counted monthly

How many messages arrived from posts and how many became fittings, read against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: The posting is judged on people at the counter.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

All case studies
  • France Fox

    Situation
Eco claims are common enough in menswear that buyers discount them on sight. France Fox had a real production story and nowhere to set it out, which is the wrong way round.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we pay to boost posts?
Small amounts, tightly limited to your radius, behind a post about stock somebody could try today. Boosting a greeting or a general eyewear picture buys reach and nothing else.
Customers will not let us photograph them. What then?
Shoot the frames on a stand, on staff who have agreed, and in short clips of the fitting where nobody is identifiable. A frame photographed well on a counter still tells a viewer what you stock.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
