Optical businesses · Search engine optimisation

Be found for the eye test, which is the search a shop can still win.

Search engine optimisation for an optical shop decides who turns up when somebody searches for an eye test or a lens near them. GullySales builds pages for the tests and lenses you actually do, puts a starting price where buyers look for one, and stays out of the frame-price fight.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The frame search is already lost and that is fine

A national eyewear site has thousands of product pages and a delivery promise. Nobody delivers an eye test, and that is the search worth owning.

  • People research the lens and choose the frame in the shop

Progressive, photochromic and blue-cut are typed by someone who knows they need glasses and is deciding where to get them made.

  • A page with no price loses to a page with one

The online shops publish every figure, so a page saying call for details gets closed. A starting price for a single-vision lens keeps the visit alive.

  • Anything about eyesight belongs to your optometrist

Wording about vision, testing or a condition affects the optometrist's own registration, not ours. They read those pages before publication, and anything doubtful goes to their council.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each test and lens you sell

Separate pages for a full eye test, progressive lenses, contact lens fitting, children's eyewear and the rest, rather than one services list.

Result: Each search lands on a page about that exact thing.

  2. A starting price band on every lens page

The figure a customer would be quoted at the counter, written as a band with what changes it, agreed with you before it goes up.

Result: A price-checking visitor stays instead of going to a retailer's site.

  3. Locality wording in the page title

The area, road or landmark people say out loud, used in the title and first heading and matched to the Business Profile.

Result: The shop appears for searches that include your area.

  4. Your optometrist named and shown

Qualification, years in practice and the room they work in, written on the page and confirmed by them before it is published.

Result: A parent checking who will test a child finds the answer.

  5. A technical fix list for the site

Slow pages, missing headings, unreadable phone numbers and broken links repaired, since a well-written page can be held back by any of them.

Result: Good pages stop being blocked by something fixable.

  6. Searches, calls and walk-ins read together monthly

Position for each lens and test page, calls from search and tests booked, set against the baseline taken before work started.

Result: You can see which page brings people to the counter.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we really put prices on the website?
A starting band for lenses, yes. The customer is comparing you with a site that shows everything, and silence reads as expensive. Frames can stay on request, because the range changes and the fitting is what you are selling.
How long before we show up for eye test near me?
The Business Profile can move within weeks. The website pages take months, because the shops already ranking have years of reviews and content behind them. We report both separately each month.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
