Optical businesses · Email marketing

Keep email for the camp organiser and let WhatsApp do the reminders.

Email marketing for an optical shop has one clear use, which is reaching the person at a company or school who can agree to an eye check-up camp. GullySales writes that outreach, keeps customer reminders on WhatsApp where they get read, and holds both lists in one record.

A post room: a wall rack of pigeonholes with sorted letters and strapped bundles, a loaded mail trolley wheeled up in front of it, and on the bench a franking machine with one envelope under the press arm, franked and cleared

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A renewal reminder by email goes unread

Your customer checks WhatsApp forty times a day and an inbox on Sunday. Send the reminder where it will be seen and stop paying for a mailing tool.

  • An HR manager can only accept an email

She has to forward your proposal to administration and file it for approval. A message on her personal number gets nowhere inside a company.

  • A school office expects a letter

A principal wants a written proposal with dates, what the check covers and who will attend. That is an attachment, not a chat.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An outreach note for company contacts

A short email to the person handling staff welfare, naming what a camp involves, how long it takes and what the company has to provide.

Result: Your proposal is something she can forward upward.

  2. A school camp proposal that can be filed

A one-page attachment covering dates, the optometrist attending, what the check covers and what goes home to parents.

Result: A principal's office can act on it without a meeting.

  3. A follow-up sequence after every camp

A thank-you to the organiser, a summary of the day and an offer for the next term, sent on set dates rather than when remembered.

Result: One camp leads to the next one.

  4. Customer reminders kept on WhatsApp

Renewal and check-up prompts moved to the channel people read, with email held only for those who asked for it.

Result: Reminders get opened instead of filed.

  5. One record for customers and camp contacts

Names, numbers, addresses and what each person agreed to receive, kept with the purchase and prescription history.

Result: Nobody is messaged twice or missed entirely.

  6. Replies and camps booked reported monthly

Outreach sent, replies received and camps confirmed, read next to the baseline agreed before work started.

Result: You can see which kind of organisation answers.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we collect email addresses at the counter?
Take the phone number first, because that is where you will actually reach them. Ask for an address only from corporate and school contacts, where approvals and files live in an inbox.
What should a camp proposal email say?
Dates you can offer, how long a check takes per person, who will attend from your shop and what the organisation needs to provide. Keep it to one page. Say what happens afterwards, because that is what the organiser is really being asked to approve.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
