Optical businesses · Content marketing

Write down what your optometrist explains across the counter all day.

Content marketing for an optical shop means publishing what your staff explain every day, such as why a first pair of progressives feels strange at first. GullySales plans the pages, has your optometrist check every one, and keeps them clear of medical advice.

A newsstand under a striped awning: three tiers of folded publications racked spine on, one title on the top tier turned to face the street, and a crate of rolled copies at the foot of the stand

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For optical businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The counter conversation is already the content

Listen to an hour at the till and you have a year of pages. Every one of those questions is being typed into a search box by somebody else.

  • The price explanation is the page nobody writes

Customers think a lens is a lens and then see four figures. A plain page on what the difference buys settles the argument before it starts.

  • Anything clinical is your optometrist's to approve

Writing about vision, symptoms or treatment touches their registration rather than ours. They approve the wording, and questions about what may be claimed go to their own council.

What we do

What we deliver for optical businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An explainer for each lens type you sell

Progressive, bifocal, photochromic and computer lenses described in the words used at the counter, with what each suits.

Result: A customer arrives already knowing what to ask for.

  2. A page explaining why lens prices differ

What changes between price bands, written honestly, including when the cheaper option is the sensible one.

Result: The price conversation stops feeling like a sales pitch.

  3. A page for parents on children's eye checks

What a parent might notice, what a check involves and how often your optometrist suggests coming back, written in their words and approved by them.

Result: Parents bring children in before a teacher mentions it.

  4. A sign-off step with your optometrist

Every page touching eyesight read and confirmed before publication, with the date of that approval recorded.

Result: Nothing goes live that your optometrist would not say.

  5. A short version of each page for WhatsApp

Every explainer cut to a few lines with a photograph, so the counter can send it while a customer is deciding.

Result: Staff answer a question with something you wrote.

  6. The page named at each enquiry, logged

What a caller had read before they rang, recorded at the counter and reported monthly against the baseline.

Result: You write more of what brings people in.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for optical businesses

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your review count, whether prescription renewals are tracked, and how the frame range is presented in store and online.

  2. 2

    Fix visibility

A completed, accurate profile and a simple routine for asking satisfied customers for a review.

  3. 3

    Build trust

The optometrist's credentials shown clearly, and real customer reviews replacing an empty or outdated profile.

  4. 4

    Bring customers in

Local search, outreach for school and corporate eye check-up camps, and WhatsApp for booking a test.

  5. 5

    Retain

Prescription renewal reminders, a check-up reminder for children, and a loyalty routine for repeat frame purchases.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we write about eye health on our website?
In general terms, in your optometrist's words and with their approval on every page. Do not promise an outcome or offer anything that reads as a diagnosis. Anything you are unsure about goes to their own professional council before it is published.
Is writing worth it for a single shop?
Six or seven good pages are, and then you stop. A shop needs the lens explainers, the price page and the children's page. A weekly blog for a neighbourhood optical shop is effort with nothing at the end of it.
How do we compete with online glasses retailers?
On the eye test, the in-person fitting and the optometrist's recommendation, which an online retailer cannot offer. We help you make that visible.
Should we keep offering a free eye test?
Usually yes, but not as a giveaway with no next step. Hand over the prescription with a frame try-on booked for the same visit, and record the number for a reminder. A test that ends at the door is the one that walks to an online retailer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
