Payment and fintech companies · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the integration question and the fee comparison, not for what a gateway is.

SEO for a payment or fintech company is being found on the searches a seller or developer runs while choosing: platform plugins, fee and settlement questions, API how-tos. GullySales builds a page for each product and integration, keeps the documentation crawlable, and traces organic visits through to merchants who went live.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For payment and fintech companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Everyone writes 'what is a payment gateway'”

That search belongs to students and a hundred other sites. A seller who types payment gateway for a Shopify store, or UPI AutoPay for gym fees, is much closer to signing.

  • “Documentation behind a portal cannot be found”

API docs behind a login or a page that only loads in a script cannot be read by a crawler, so a developer searching for a payment link API lands on someone else's tutorial.

  • “Shoppers of your merchants arrive by mistake”

Searches such as payment failed or refund not received pull in people who just paid a shop. With no page for them, they ring sales and leave.

What we do

What we deliver for payment and fintech companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each product

Gateway, payment links, UPI AutoPay, payouts and the rest, each written for the buyer who needs it and linked to its own documentation.

Result: A seller finds the product that matches the job, not a general homepage.

  2. Integration and plugin pages

One page per platform, such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Tally and Zoho Books, with setup steps, supported payment methods and what the integration cannot do.

Result: Searches that start with the platform's name begin to reach you.

  3. Documentation a crawler can read

Quickstart, reference, changelog and status page on public URLs with a sitemap, free of login walls and script-only shells.

Result: Developer searches land on your reference, not a forum answer.

  4. A page for the payer who landed by mistake

A plain help page saying you process payments for the merchant, how to reach the shop and what a failed debit means, with no sales form on it.

Result: Sales stops fielding calls meant for a shop.

  5. Fee and settlement explainers

Pages on what a transaction fee covers, how settlement works and what a refund or chargeback does to it, in words an accountant can follow.

Result: A finance head reads how money moves before talking to sales.

  6. Organic visits traced to live merchants

Visits, signups, KYC completed and first payments from organic search, broken out by page and read against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You can name the page that brought a live merchant.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a seller or a developer types while choosing a payment provider, and the page that answers it.

payment gateway for Shopify store India
An integration page for the platform. Show the plugin, the setup steps, the payment methods it supports and what it cannot do, with a link straight to the install page.
UPI AutoPay for gym or coaching fees
A use-case page for fee collectors. Explain mandate setup from the payer's side, what a failed debit does, and how the business sees the status.
payment gateway charges
A fee page, not a rate sheet. Say what a transaction fee covers, what costs extra and how GST on fees is invoiced, and date the page.
settlement not received payment gateway
A help page for sellers, written plainly. Explain how settlement works, why a review can hold it and where to raise a ticket. A seller reads this before deciding who to trust.
create payment link API
A developer search. Answer it with the reference page and a short sample in two languages on a public URL, with the sandbox key one click away.
payment failed refund not received
A page for the shopper who paid a merchant, not for a merchant. Say you process the payment for the shop, how to reach the shop and how the bank reverses a failed debit.

Who it is for

This is written for these payment and fintech companies.

  • Payment gateways and aggregators for online sellers
  • UPI and QR providers with soundboxes and card machines for shops
  • Prepaid wallet and card issuers working with a partner bank
  • Digital lenders and buy-now-pay-later apps working with a bank or NBFC
  • B2B payment, vendor payout and payables platforms
  • Payroll, expense and corporate card tools for companies
  • Cross-border payment and remittance platforms
  • Neobanks and current account apps for startups and small businesses

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for payment and fintech companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where last quarter's live merchants came from, how many signups reached a first payment, and what a developer finds when searching for your documentation.

  2. 2

    Make trust checkable

A trust page, a rate page and policy copy your compliance head has approved, so a cautious buyer can verify you without a call.

  3. 3

Clear the path to the first live payment

Signup stages recorded, missing documents chased by a named person, and a reply routine for merchants who write in stuck.

  4. 4

    Bring in the right buyers

Documentation, comparison pages and campaigns aimed at the developers, finance heads and the accountants and agencies who choose for them.

  5. 5

    Count live merchants

Merchants live, first payments taken and enquiries by source, read against the baseline, with the channels that bring only signups cut.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a separate page for each kind of merchant, such as schools or clinics?
Only where the payment flow differs. A school collecting fees in instalments and a clinic taking advance bookings need different features, so each gets a page that shows its own flow. A page that swaps the trade name and keeps the rest identical adds nothing.
Is a blog worth it for a payment company?
Yes, for the questions a seller asks before signing: how settlement works, what happens to a refund, how to read a fee line. Skip fintech news roundups. Pages that answer a buyer are read and linked, and news pages bring other fintech staff.
Can we copy the structure of a bigger gateway's documentation?
Copy the order, not the text. Developers expect a quickstart first, then reference, then errors and webhooks. Wording lifted from another provider can describe features you do not have, and search engines treat it as duplicate text.
Who should own the website and the documentation domain?
You should, with two named administrators. If an agency or contractor holds the domain, hosting or documentation repository, you can lose your docs the day the arrangement ends. Keep a record of who holds which login.
Can we say 'instant settlement' or 'zero fees' on the website?
Only if it is true in every case and your compliance head has approved it. A merchant who reads 'instant' and then waits on a hold feels misled, and the rules on advertising financial products change. Say what happens, when, and what is excluded, and keep the evidence for each claim.
Do we need to publish our rate card?
It is your decision, but a seller comparing providers drops the ones with no number anywhere. A page that explains what each fee covers works better than a bare table, and it stops a forwarded sheet from being the only version in circulation. Larger merchants can still agree their own terms on a call.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
