Payment and fintech companies · Answer engine optimisation

Be the provider an assistant names when a seller asks which gateway suits a Shopify store.

AEO, or answer engine optimisation, for a payment or fintech company is making the facts a seller or developer asks an assistant about easy to find, quote and verify. GullySales writes plain answer pages, keeps fees, authorisation and settlement terms the same everywhere, and tests your questions in the assistants.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What answer engine optimisation means

Answer engine optimisation (AEO) is writing content so that AI tools such as ChatGPT and Google's AI overviews quote your business. This happens when someone asks a question in your line of work. GullySales writes clear, factual answers to the questions your buyers actually ask so your business gets mentioned, not just your website ranked.

For payment and fintech companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Assistants quote what agrees across sources”

If your fee wording differs between your site, a directory and an old PDF, an assistant can quote the wrong one.

  • “Marketing words give an assistant nothing to quote”

A page saying fast, secure payments holds no fact an assistant can use. A page naming the platforms, the methods and the settlement terms does.

  • “A wrong answer about your holds or fees can sit there”

An assistant may repeat an old forum complaint as your current policy, and you will not know unless someone asks the question and reads the reply.

What we do

What we deliver for payment and fintech companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A question list from buyers

The questions sellers, developers and finance heads ask, gathered from sales calls, support tickets and search suggestions.

Result: The pages answer what people ask, not what you wish they asked.

  2. Answer pages with the fact in the first sentence

One page per question, the answer in the opening lines, the detail after it, and a date on the page.

Result: An assistant has a sentence it can lift.

  3. A single facts sheet

Legal name, authorisation or partner, products, supported platforms and methods, fee structure in words, settlement terms and contacts, with one owner who updates it.

Result: Every page and listing draws on the same facts.

  4. Markup on the right pages

Organisation, product and FAQ markup added only where the page shows the fact, then checked for errors.

Result: Machines read your pages the way people do.

  5. Listings and profiles aligned

App store pages, business directories, GitHub and LinkedIn carrying the same name, description and links.

Result: Third-party sources agree with your site.

  6. A test log across assistants

The same questions asked in several assistants, with whether you were named, what was said and which page was cited.

Result: You see what is quoted and fix the source.

How the result is measured

  • Mentions in AI answers
  • Questions covered
  • Enquiries from AI referrals

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions to test in an assistant

Questions a seller or developer asks an assistant, and what your pages must state for it to quote you.

Which payment gateway is best for a Shopify store in India?
Your Shopify page should name the platforms, payment methods, plugin and who the product suits, in its first paragraph. Ask the assistant, then note whether it names you and which page it cites.
How does settlement work in a payment gateway?
State settlement as your agreement states it, in plain sentences with no promise beyond the contract. Test, then compare the assistant's answer with your own page.
Is a payment gateway safe for my small business?
State your PCI DSS position, how card data is handled and your authorisation on one page. An assistant cannot quote a claim that sits only inside a PDF.
How do I accept UPI payments on my website?
A how-to page naming the steps, the papers and the plugin. Date it and update it when the flow changes.
What documents do I need to open a payment gateway account?
A page listing the papers by type of business, matching your signup form word for word. A wrong list will be quoted back to merchants.
What nobody controls
Assistants differ, change and sometimes get things wrong, so results vary and cannot be promised. Keep your facts clear and consistent, and ask the same questions again later.

Who it is for

This is written for these payment and fintech companies.

  • Payment gateways and aggregators for online sellers
  • UPI and QR providers with soundboxes and card machines for shops
  • Prepaid wallet and card issuers working with a partner bank
  • Digital lenders and buy-now-pay-later apps working with a bank or NBFC
  • B2B payment, vendor payout and payables platforms
  • Payroll, expense and corporate card tools for companies
  • Cross-border payment and remittance platforms
  • Neobanks and current account apps for startups and small businesses

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for payment and fintech companies

  1. 1

    Assess

In the free audit we trace where last quarter's live merchants came from, how many signups reached a first payment, and what a developer finds when searching for your documentation.

  2. 2

    Make trust checkable

A trust page, a rate page and policy copy your compliance head has approved, so a cautious buyer can verify you without a call.

  3. 3

Clear the path to the first live payment

Signup stages recorded, missing documents chased by a named person, and a reply routine for merchants who write in stuck.

  4. 4

    Bring in the right buyers

Documentation, comparison pages and campaigns aimed at the developers, finance heads and the accountants and agencies who choose for them.

  5. 5

    Count live merchants

Merchants live, first payments taken and enquiries by source, read against the baseline, with the channels that bring only signups cut.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we write differently for assistants and for people?
Not much. Put the answer first, name things plainly and keep one question to a page. People skim the way an assistant reads. Trick phrasing helps neither.
Does structured data make an assistant quote us?
It helps a machine read the page correctly and does not make anyone quote you. Add markup for facts that are on the page and true, such as organisation, FAQ and product details, and test it. Never mark up what the page does not show.
Which facts must match everywhere?
Company name, authorisation or regulated partner, product names, supported platforms, fee wording and support contacts. Compare your website, docs, directory listings, app store pages and press kit, and fix the oldest source first.
An assistant gave a wrong answer about our fees. What now?
Look for an old page or listing that says the same thing and correct that source first. Then publish a clear, dated page with the right answer and ask the question again later. You cannot edit an assistant, only the sources it reads.
Can we say 'instant settlement' or 'zero fees' on the website?
Only if it is true in every case and your compliance head has approved it. A merchant who reads 'instant' and then waits on a hold feels misled, and the rules on advertising financial products change. Say what happens, when, and what is excluded, and keep the evidence for each claim.
Do we need to publish our rate card?
It is your decision, but a seller comparing providers drops the ones with no number anywhere. A page that explains what each fee covers works better than a bare table, and it stops a forwarded sheet from being the only version in circulation. Larger merchants can still agree their own terms on a call.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
