Pharmacies · Branding

Half of what goes on a chemist's board is decided for you.

A pharmacy's board has to carry what the licence requires, and anything you add can turn a shop sign into an advertisement. GullySales settles what the board, the bill and the delivery bag may say, then makes those three agree, since a monthly customer sees nothing else.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For pharmacies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The required display comes before the design

Licence details and the pharmacist's particulars have to be shown. The design works around them, rather than over the top of them.

  • A claim on the board changes what the board is

Add a line about curing something, or a discount on medicines, and a shop sign becomes an advertisement subject to restrictions your licence carries.

  • Your monthly customer never sees the shop

She stopped walking in two years ago. The bag, the bill and the delivery boy are the whole of the brand she experiences.

  • A family surname tells a new customer nothing

Shop names built on a surname give no clue that you deliver, stay open late or stock surgical supplies. The description has to carry all of that.

What we do

What we deliver for pharmacies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A board built around the required display

Licence and pharmacist particulars placed properly, with the service words, the hours and the phone number given whatever space is left.

Result: The board does its legal job and its selling job.

  2. Delivery bag, bill and messaging profile matched

The same name, number, hours and delivery details on the bag, on the printed bill and on the profile a customer saves in her phone.

Result: The customer who never walks in still knows you.

  3. Every public word checked against the restrictions

Board, counter cards, website and messages read against the limits on advertising medicines and making claims, with your pharmacist confirming each.

Result: No slogan puts the licence at risk.

  4. One description used in every place

A short line naming delivery, late hours and the non-prescription ranges, used identically on Maps, JustDial, the board and the chat profile.

Result: Nothing about the shop says two things.

  5. The pharmacist shown as the reason to come in

The registered pharmacist named and pictured, with what he will help with, on the profile and at the counter, because no app can copy that.

Result: The one advantage you have becomes visible.

  6. A yearly check that nothing has drifted

A pass over the board, the bag, the bill and every listing, because wording changes quietly whenever somebody reprints something.

Result: Drift is caught before an inspector notices it.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these pharmacies.

  • Independent neighbourhood chemists
  • Pharmacies attached to a clinic or nursing home
  • Hospital pharmacies serving outpatients
  • Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras and generic medicine stores
  • Multi-outlet local pharmacy chains
  • Franchise outlets of national pharmacy brands
  • Surgical and medical equipment stores
  • Pharmacies stocking Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines
  • Twenty-four hour and late-night pharmacies

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for pharmacies

  1. 1

    Assess

We check your listing hours and reviews, how quickly WhatsApp orders are answered, how many regular customers bought last quarter but not this one, and what your current promotions say.

  2. 2

Fix the counter and the phone

A WhatsApp prescription routine with a reply time the staff can keep, a delivery slot promise, and a stock check before confirming.

  3. 3

    Know the regulars

A register of monthly customers from the billing data, with their refill dates and consent to be reminded, kept private and separate from marketing lists.

  4. 4

    Promote what the law allows

Local search, the pharmacist's service, delivery and devices, wellness and baby care, with prescription medicines kept out of any advertising.

  5. 5

    Keep them from switching

Refill reminders before the month's stock runs out, a check-in when a regular stops buying, and a reason to stay that is service, not only price.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we put offers on our shop board?
Be careful, because a discount line about medicines can turn a sign into an advertisement, and chemist associations and some state drug controllers have taken firm positions on it. Devices, baby care and general goods sit on safer ground. Confirm the current position with your association.
Do we need a logo?
Less than you need a legible board and a printed bill. A simple mark on the bag and the bill is worth doing once the rest is right. Spend on the delivery bag before the logo.
Can a pharmacy advertise medicines?
Not prescription medicines. Under the Drugs and Cosmetics rules, Schedule H, H1 and X drugs are sold only against a prescription and should not be promoted to the public. The Drugs and Magic Remedies Act forbids any advertisement claiming a medicine treats listed conditions. We promote your service, delivery, devices and general range instead.
Can we offer discounts to match online pharmacies?
That is a business decision for you, and chemist associations and some state drug controllers have taken strong positions on it. We do not build campaigns around discounts on prescription medicines. We compete on delivery, reliability and the pharmacist's advice, which the apps find harder to match.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
