GullySales

Pharmacies · Search engine optimisation

Rank for being open at eleven at night, not for a medicine name.

Search for a chemist is about service and hours, because the drug rules keep prescription medicines out of anything you publish. GullySales builds the pages you are free to build: delivery, late hours, devices, baby care and post-discharge supplies, with a check that nothing promotes a medicine.

A street junction fingerpost: several lettered direction arms on one post, the top arm freshly painted and pointing down your street while the others have weathered, with the paint tin and brush still at its foot

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For pharmacies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The obvious idea is the one you cannot use

A page per medicine would rank, and it is exactly what the restrictions on advertising prescription medicines exist to stop. Your licence carries that risk, not the website.

  • The eleven o'clock search is about opening hours

Nobody types a molecule at midnight. They type medical shop near me open now, and what your listing claims about hours decides the result.

  • The categories you may sell are the ones nobody writes about

Glucometers, nebulisers, dressings, baby care and post-surgery supplies are searched openly and stocked by every chemist who never mentions them anywhere.

  • Older customers still type the word chemist

Medical shop, chemist, druggist and the name of the area. Pages built only around the word pharmacy miss the people who walk in most.

What we do

What we deliver for pharmacies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Pages for the service rather than the stock

Home delivery area, ordering on WhatsApp, late-night and holiday hours, and how a prescription is handled, written as pages instead of a line on a contact form.

Result: The searches you may answer land on your site.

  2. Pages for the categories you are free to sell

Home health devices, baby and mother care, surgical and post-discharge supplies and general personal care, each with what you stock and who needs it.

Result: Customers learn you sell more than prescriptions.

  3. A plain page about substitutes

What a substitute is and what to ask your own doctor, written as information, with no brand pushed and no claim made about any medicine.

Result: A daily counter conversation exists in writing.

  4. A compliance pass over every page

Each page read against the restrictions on advertising medicines and making treatment claims, with your pharmacist confirming and your licence terms as the test.

Result: Nothing published puts the licence at risk.

  5. Hours and location marked up for search

Opening hours including late nights and holidays, the delivery area and payment methods marked up so search engines read them correctly.

Result: The open now result includes you.

  6. A monthly note on calls and orders from search

Which pages were found, how many calls and chat orders followed, and at what hours, against the figures recorded before the work started.

Result: You can see whether the late-night pages work.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these pharmacies.

  • Independent neighbourhood chemists
  • Pharmacies attached to a clinic or nursing home
  • Hospital pharmacies serving outpatients
  • Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras and generic medicine stores
  • Multi-outlet local pharmacy chains
  • Franchise outlets of national pharmacy brands
  • Surgical and medical equipment stores
  • Pharmacies stocking Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines
  • Twenty-four hour and late-night pharmacies

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for pharmacies

  1. 1

    Assess

We check your listing hours and reviews, how quickly WhatsApp orders are answered, how many regular customers bought last quarter but not this one, and what your current promotions say.

  2. 2

Fix the counter and the phone

A WhatsApp prescription routine with a reply time the staff can keep, a delivery slot promise, and a stock check before confirming.

  3. 3

    Know the regulars

A register of monthly customers from the billing data, with their refill dates and consent to be reminded, kept private and separate from marketing lists.

  4. 4

    Promote what the law allows

Local search, the pharmacist's service, delivery and devices, wellness and baby care, with prescription medicines kept out of any advertising.

  5. 5

    Keep them from switching

Refill reminders before the month's stock runs out, a check-in when a regular stops buying, and a reason to stay that is service, not only price.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we make a page for each medicine we stock?
No. Promoting prescription medicines to the public is what the drug rules exist to prevent, and it is your licence at risk rather than ours. Write about the service, the devices and the general range, and put anything doubtful to your drug inspector or association.
What is actually left to put on a chemist's website?
More than owners expect. Hours, delivery, how to send a prescription, the devices and baby care you stock, the surgical supplies a discharged patient needs, and who the pharmacist is. That is a full site, and none of it advertises a medicine.
Can a pharmacy advertise medicines?
Not prescription medicines. Under the Drugs and Cosmetics rules, Schedule H, H1 and X drugs are sold only against a prescription and should not be promoted to the public. The Drugs and Magic Remedies Act forbids any advertisement claiming a medicine treats listed conditions. We promote your service, delivery, devices and general range instead.
Can we offer discounts to match online pharmacies?
That is a business decision for you, and chemist associations and some state drug controllers have taken strong positions on it. We do not build campaigns around discounts on prescription medicines. We compete on delivery, reliability and the pharmacist's advice, which the apps find harder to match.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
