Pharmacies · Email marketing

Email is for the care home and the son who pays from abroad.

Retail customers in this trade will never read an email, while institutions will not act without one and neither will the relative paying from another city. GullySales separates those two lists, writes the monthly statement and the delivery confirmation, and keeps medicines out of every message.

A post room: a wall rack of pigeonholes with sorted letters and strapped bundles, a loaded mail trolley wheeled up in front of it, and on the bench a franking machine with one envelope under the press arm, franked and cleared

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For pharmacies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The newsletter idea is the one you have to drop

A monthly mail about what you have in stock would be promotion of medicines, which is precisely what the drug rules exist to prevent.

  • A care home needs an invoice, not a message

Forty residents, a monthly order and an accounts person who wants a statement. That relationship runs on email and on nothing else.

  • The son paying from abroad wants a paper trail

He is not in the city and will not telephone. A delivery confirmation and a bill in his inbox is the whole of what he wants.

  • First-aid kits are an office purchase

Factories and offices near you refill kits on a schedule and buy against a purchase order. That is an email relationship with a nearby business.

What we do

What we deliver for pharmacies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Two lists kept properly apart

Institutions on one and paying relatives on the other, each with consent recorded, held separately from dispensing records and from each other.

Result: Nobody gets a message meant for somebody else.

  2. A monthly statement for institutional accounts

Clinics, nursing homes and care homes sent a statement and a reorder note before the usual date, with the items and the terms set out.

Result: Institutional orders arrive without being chased.

  3. A delivery confirmation and bill for the payer

Where a relative elsewhere is paying, a confirmation and bill sent to them with the date and the amount, and nothing beyond what the bill shows.

Result: The person paying stops having to ring you.

  4. A first-aid refill offer for offices nearby

A short note to offices, factories and schools within reach, listing what a kit should hold and offering a scheduled refill against a purchase order.

Result: A new institutional line opens close to the shop.

  5. A rule keeping prescription medicines out

What may appear in any message, written down and applied to every send, checked with your pharmacist before the first one goes.

Result: No mail can put the licence at risk.

  6. A monthly count of institutional orders from mail

Orders, reorders and payments traced back to each send, read against the figures recorded in the first week of the work.

Result: You can see whether the mail is paying.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Who it is for

This is written for these pharmacies.

  • Independent neighbourhood chemists
  • Pharmacies attached to a clinic or nursing home
  • Hospital pharmacies serving outpatients
  • Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras and generic medicine stores
  • Multi-outlet local pharmacy chains
  • Franchise outlets of national pharmacy brands
  • Surgical and medical equipment stores
  • Pharmacies stocking Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medicines
  • Twenty-four hour and late-night pharmacies

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for pharmacies

  1. 1

    Assess

We check your listing hours and reviews, how quickly WhatsApp orders are answered, how many regular customers bought last quarter but not this one, and what your current promotions say.

  2. 2

Fix the counter and the phone

A WhatsApp prescription routine with a reply time the staff can keep, a delivery slot promise, and a stock check before confirming.

  3. 3

    Know the regulars

A register of monthly customers from the billing data, with their refill dates and consent to be reminded, kept private and separate from marketing lists.

  4. 4

    Promote what the law allows

Local search, the pharmacist's service, delivery and devices, wellness and baby care, with prescription medicines kept out of any advertising.

  5. 5

    Keep them from switching

Refill reminders before the month's stock runs out, a check-in when a regular stops buying, and a reason to stay that is service, not only price.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should a chemist bother with email at all?
Only for institutions and for relatives paying from elsewhere. For everybody else WhatsApp is faster and gets read. Building a mailing list of walk-in customers is effort with almost no return here.
Can we mail customers about our offers?
Not about prescription medicines. Devices, baby care and general goods can go to people who agreed to receive them. Anything close to a medicine should be checked with your pharmacist before it is sent.
Can a pharmacy advertise medicines?
Not prescription medicines. Under the Drugs and Cosmetics rules, Schedule H, H1 and X drugs are sold only against a prescription and should not be promoted to the public. The Drugs and Magic Remedies Act forbids any advertisement claiming a medicine treats listed conditions. We promote your service, delivery, devices and general range instead.
Can we offer discounts to match online pharmacies?
That is a business decision for you, and chemist associations and some state drug controllers have taken strong positions on it. We do not build campaigns around discounts on prescription medicines. We compete on delivery, reliability and the pharmacist's advice, which the apps find harder to match.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
