Retailers · WhatsApp marketing

Put the new stock in the pocket of the shopper who bought from you last.

WhatsApp marketing for a retail store is sending catalogue, arrival and festival messages to shoppers who agreed to hear from you, and answering their questions in the same app. GullySales builds the consented list, the catalogue and the reply routine.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

For retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Shoppers already message shops before they visit”

A buyer sends a photograph and asks if you have this in stock. The store that answers on WhatsApp with a price and a time to come is the store they visit. A slow or missing reply sends them to the next name on the screen.

  • “A broadcast to strangers loses the number”

Adding anyone whose number you can find, or buying a list, gets messages reported and the account restricted. A list built from billing, with a spoken yes, protects the number that carries your regulars.

  • “The catalogue is the shop window on a phone”

A photograph, a name, a price and a note on sizes or colours, set out in the app's catalogue, answers half the questions before they are asked. A catalogue left empty or stale makes the shop look closed.

  • “Festive timing decides whether the message is read”

A note about new arrivals sent when the shopper is deep in festival buying is opened. The same note sent in a dull week is ignored. The calendar of your own selling season drives the plan, not a fixed day each period.

What we do

What we deliver for retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A WhatsApp Business account set up properly

Profile, hours, address, a greeting and an away message, all matching your Maps listing.

Result: The number looks like a real shop.

  2. A catalogue of what you really sell

Your best-selling lines with clear photographs, prices and short descriptions, grouped the way a shopper looks for them.

Result: A shopper can browse without calling.

  3. A consented broadcast list

A way to add shoppers at billing with a spoken yes, split into groups such as regulars, festival buyers and wedding enquiries.

Result: You message only people who agreed.

  4. Message templates for your season

Wording for new arrivals, festival timings, sale days and thank-you notes, in the language your shoppers use.

Result: Staff send consistent, clear messages.

  5. Quick replies for the questions you always get

Saved answers on price, stock, exchange and timings, with a person named to answer each day.

Result: Enquiries receive an answer from the shop, not silence.

  6. Click-to-chat links on your listing and posts

Links from Maps, Instagram and your website that open a chat with your catalogue ready.

Result: Every online touchpoint leads to a conversation.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these retailers.

  • Apparel and footwear stores
  • Electronics and appliance retailers
  • Grocery and kirana stores
  • Home decor and furnishing stores
  • Jewellery and gifting retailers
  • Multi-brand outlet stores

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the whatsapp marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand current WhatsApp use

We review how customers currently message you and how consistently, if at all, it is answered.

  2. 2

    Audit common questions

We identify the questions that come up repeatedly, which decide what should be automated first.

  3. 3

    Set up automation and templates

An automated first response and quick reply templates are built for the most common needs.

  4. 4

    Connect to the CRM

Conversations are linked to customer records so context carries over between team members.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track response time and conversion, refining automated responses based on what customers actually ask.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will WhatsApp ban our number for broadcasts?
The risk comes from messaging people who never agreed or who report you. We build the list from shoppers who said yes at billing. Check the platform's current rules, as they change.
Do we need the paid WhatsApp Business API?
Not for a single store sending to a few hundred regulars. The free Business app and its catalogue cover that. The API suits larger volumes, and we say so when the store grows into it.
What should we never send?
Long messages, several offers at once, messages at odd hours and anything to a shopper who asked to stop. Keep each note to one idea with one photograph and one reason to visit.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
