Electrical and lighting dealers · Search engine optimisation

One shop, two searchers: the contractor after MCBs and the family after a chandelier.

Search for an electrical dealer has to serve two different people: a contractor checking who stocks a switchgear range, and a family looking for a lighting showroom. GullySales writes a set of pages for each side, so the trade counter and the showroom are found by their own buyers.

A street junction fingerpost: several lettered direction arms on one post, the top arm freshly painted and pointing down your street while the others have weathered, with the paint tin and brush still at its foot

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For electrical and lighting dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Electricians do not search, they walk in

Wiring and switchgear is won at the counter and on the phone. What a contractor does look up is whether you hold a particular range, so a stock page earns its place and a wire guide does not.

  • Lighting searches carry a room inside them

People look for a chandelier for a double-height living room or profile lights for a false ceiling. Pages built around the room and the fitting type reach them; a page called decorative lighting reaches nobody.

  • Project buyers search what the specification says

A consultant writing an office fit-out looks up who supplies a luminaire type in that city. Naming the ranges you carry and the projects you have supplied puts you on that list.

  • The brand with a locality beside it is the search worth owning

Somebody types a switch brand and an area because they want a dealer, not a catalogue. That page should give the range, the stock position and your counter timings.

What we do

What we deliver for electrical and lighting dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Separate sections for trade and for lighting

One part of the site written for electricians and contractors, another for families and designers, each with its own pages and its own enquiry route.

Result: Both buyers find something written for them.

  2. A page for each lighting category

Chandeliers, profile and cove lighting, track, outdoor and facade fittings and fans, photographed lit, with wattage, finish and range named.

Result: A search that names a room and a fitting ends at your page.

  3. Stock pages for the ranges you hold

The switchgear, cable, fan and lighting ranges on your shelves, the sizes carried and how quickly a non-stock item arrives.

Result: A contractor checking availability has a reason to call.

  4. A supply page written for consultants

The luminaire types, the brands your specifications approve, the kinds of projects you have supplied and the person to contact.

Result: Your name reaches the list before the tender does.

  5. Locality pages for where you deliver

The neighbourhoods and industrial areas your vehicle reaches, with delivery timings and the counter's opening hours.

Result: Search brings buyers from streets you can supply.

  6. Slow pages and dead links repaired

Loading speed, the image weight on lighting pages, headings and links pointing at products you no longer carry.

Result: The pages you wrote actually get read.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

How the work runs for electrical and lighting dealers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at who buys at your counter, how showroom visits are recorded, how project quotes are followed up and how you appear on Maps.

  2. 2

    Record the buyers

A record of electricians, showroom visitors and project quotes, with follow-up rules for each.

  3. 3

Show both sides of the shop

Maps, website pages and Instagram set up so the trade counter and the lighting showroom are each found by their own buyers.

  4. 4

    Reach the influencers

Programmes for electricians, designers and consultants, with referrals recorded against each.

  5. 5

    Grow each order

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Will a website bring contractors to our counter?
Rarely on its own. Contractors come through the electricians they work with, your credit terms and your stock. It helps when one of them checks whether you hold a range.
Our lighting pages get views and no enquiries. Why?
There is nothing on them to act on, in most cases. A page with a price range, the fitting photographed switched on, the wattage and a WhatsApp button brings messages. A catalogue image with a model code does not.
How do we compete with Amazon for lighting?
By being the place a family sees the light switched on and gets advice on how many fixtures a room needs. Record the visit, follow up with photos and a clear price, and offer installation through an electrician you trust.
How can we get electricians to send owners to us?
Give them a reason every week, not once a year. Keep the brands they prefer in stock and serve them fast at the counter. Then record each owner they send, so you can thank them for it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
