Eye clinics · Review generation

Ask for the review when the glasses are collected and the patient says they can see clearly.

Review generation for an eye clinic means one honest ask at a moment when a patient or a parent is pleased with the visit, so new reviews keep arriving on Google. GullySales sets the moment, the link and the wording, and keeps the ask inside the platform's rules and the profession's.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What review generation means

In a clinic or practice a review is a public statement by a patient, and asking for one is restricted or unwise in several regulated professions. Review generation here is proof that does not depend on a patient writing in public: the professional listing kept accurate, the note back to the referring doctor, and a reply that never confirms somebody was a patient. GullySales sets that up and tracks what arrives without soliciting it.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For eye clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The best moment is at the optical counter”

A patient trying on new glasses and reading the board clearly is at their happiest. The clinic asks ten minutes earlier, in the consulting room, when the patient is dazed from drops.

  • “A parent writes for a child, a son for a mother”

The review often comes from the person who brought the patient. The ask has to reach that person, not only the one who sat in the chair.

  • “The doctor feels awkward asking”

In a one-doctor clinic, a review requested by the doctor feels like a favour. The ask belongs to reception or the counter, in one plain sentence.

What we do

What we deliver for eye clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Moments mapped to the clinic's visits

The check-up, the glasses collection, a child's visit and the yearly return each given the best point to ask.

Result: Patients are asked when they are pleased, not when it suits the desk.

  2. A QR at the optical counter and the desk

A card and a small stand with the review link for each listing, placed where the patient is already standing.

Result: A pleased patient can leave a review in a minute.

  3. A short script for reception and the counter

One plain sentence in the languages your families speak, and a rule to ask everyone who had a good visit and not a chosen few.

Result: The ask sounds natural from every staff member.

  4. A message with the link, for patients who agreed

A single note after the visit to patients who consented to messages, going to the parent or attendant who handled the visit.

Result: The person who will write the review receives the link.

  5. A reply routine and a count against visits

A named person who replies to every review in a line, and a count of reviews against patients seen, set against the baseline before asking began.

Result: You see whether the ask reaches the patients who were pleased.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Asking for reviews the right way

The moments in an eye clinic visit when a pleased patient is easiest to ask, and what never to do.

At the optical counter, glasses in hand
The patient has just seen the difference. Hand over a card with the QR and say a review of the visit helps other families. Do not ask while the lenses are still being fitted.
A parent, after a child's check
Ask the parent once the child is out of the chair, and offer the link by message if they agreed to messages. Never ask the child, and keep the child's details out of any reply.
The family member who brought a senior
Ask the son or daughter who handled the visit, since they will do the writing. Give the link with a line in the language they read.
At the return visit
A patient back for the check has a view of the clinic over time. Ask once, at the end, and never at every visit.
Never gate, pay or set quotas
Do not offer a discount, a free test or frames for a review, and do not pick only happy patients. Medical rules and platform rules both apply, so check the current ones.
Reply to every review
Thank each reviewer in a line and keep diagnoses and treatments out. The reply tells the next family that the clinic reads what it is told.

Who it is for

This is written for these eye clinics.

  • Single-doctor eye clinics

  • Clinics with a paediatric eye focus
  • Clinics that refer cataract and retina cases
  • Small group practices of two or three eye doctors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for eye clinics

  1. 1

    Listen to how patients return

The free audit call traces how patients arrive and how many return, and what happens after the first visit.

  2. 2

    Build a recall list

A simple record and a consented reminder.

  3. 3

    Connect the optical counter

A routine from prescription to glasses.

  4. 4

    Keep referred patients

A follow-up for patients sent for surgery.

  5. 5

    Report on visits, not activity

A report on recall visits and reviews against the baseline taken before anything changed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should the doctor ask personally, or reception?
Reception or the optical counter. A patient asked by the doctor may feel unable to refuse, and professional bodies are wary of anything that looks like pressure. A card at the counter and one line from staff is enough.
Our older patients do not use Google. How do they review us?
Ask the son or daughter who came with them. Do not post on a patient's behalf or hold out a phone to hurry them. Many older patients are glad to tell a relative, who writes it later at home.
A patient said they would review us but did not. Do we remind them?
Once, in the message with the link, if they agreed to messages. After that, leave it. A second reminder reads as pressure, and a patient who feels chased may write something sharper than they would have done.
Should the optical counter and the clinic have separate review links?
Yes, if they are separate listings. A review about the glasses should land on the shop, and one about the doctor on the clinic. Check which listing each QR points to before printing, and keep the two cards apart at the counter.
Can we advertise offers on glasses and check-ups?
Rules on health advertising differ and change, and discounts on medical services may be restricted. Optical retail is treated differently from the doctor's practice. We keep the two separate and your adviser confirms what each may say.
Can we publish patient testimonials?
Medical council rules restrict testimonials for doctors, and the position differs and changes. Reviews on a listing are written by patients themselves and are different, but your adviser should confirm how to ask for them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
