Eye clinics · WhatsApp marketing

Send the recall and the glasses-are-ready note, and answer a photo of a red eye with a person.

WhatsApp marketing for an eye clinic means using the app families already use to confirm an appointment, say the glasses are ready and remind them about a return check, with consent recorded. GullySales sets up the opt-in, the business profile, the approved messages and the person who answers.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What WhatsApp marketing means

WhatsApp marketing is sending updates, offers and reminders to customers on the app most Indian buyers already check daily, which gets read faster than email or SMS. GullySales sets up business WhatsApp, writes the message templates and keeps the list consented and current.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For eye clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A photograph of a red eye reaches the desk”

Families send pictures and ask whether to come in. The desk cannot judge them and must not try. The reply tells them to call or come in, and an urgent one reaches the doctor.

  • “The number belongs to the parent or the son”

A child's reminder goes to a mother and a senior's to a son. Consent has to come from that person, and the record should say whose number it is.

  • “Shop offers land on patients' phones”

A frame offer sent to every number on the clinic's list mixes the shop's marketing with the doctor's reminders. Patients block the whole number.

What we do

What we deliver for eye clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Opt-in on the registration form

Separate ticks for reminders and booking messages, and for shop offers, with the owner of the number recorded.

Result: You can show who agreed to what.

  2. Profiles for the clinic and the shop, kept apart

A business profile for the clinic with its sessions, and a separate one for the optical counter if it has its own number.

Result: A patient knows who a message is from.

  3. Approved templates for routine messages

Appointment confirmation, return reminder, glasses ready and lens review written plainly and submitted for approval, with no condition in the text.

Result: Routine messages go out in the clinic's own words.

  4. A rule for urgent chats

One written reply for pain, a sudden change in vision or an injury, telling the sender to call or come in now, with the number.

Result: An urgent message is never left in a queue.

  5. A catalogue for the optical counter

Frames and lenses listed for the shop's number, separate from the clinic's services and checked against the platform's current commerce rules.

Result: Shoppers browse the shop and patients keep their reminders.

  6. An opt-out and a named person behind the chat

A plain way to stop messages recorded against the patient, and a staff member who answers in stated hours.

Result: Nobody is messaged after they said stop.

How the result is measured

  • Messages delivered
  • Reply rate
  • Enquiries from WhatsApp

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What an eye clinic sets up before the first WhatsApp message goes out.

Opt-in on the registration form
Tick one for reminders and booking messages and another for shop offers. Record the date and whose number it is, so a child's reminder reaches the parent who agreed.
Business profile
Create the profile with the clinic's name as on the signboard, the address and the sessions. If the optical counter has its own number, give it its own profile.
Approved templates
Write the appointment confirmation, the return reminder, the glasses-ready note and the lens review reminder as templates. Keep the condition out of the text and the preview.
Who pays
Messages sent outside a patient's own reply window are charged by the platform. Check WhatsApp's current business policy and pricing before you plan a recall broadcast.
Urgent chats
Write the rule for a message about pain, sudden loss of vision or an injury: one reply telling them to call or come in now, with the number. Never judge from a photograph.
Opt-out and a person behind the chat
End each message with a way to stop, and name who answers in the clinic's hours. An unanswered chat looks careless to a family that was told to write.

Who it is for

This is written for these eye clinics.

  • Single-doctor eye clinics
  • Eye clinics with an attached optical shop
  • Eye clinics that handle contact lens and dry eye care
  • Clinics with a paediatric eye focus
  • Clinics that refer cataract and retina cases
  • Small group practices of two or three eye doctors

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for eye clinics

  1. 1

    Listen to how patients return

The free audit call traces how patients arrive and how many return, and what happens after the first visit.

  2. 2

    Build a recall list

A simple record and a consented reminder.

  3. 3

    Connect the optical counter

A routine from prescription to glasses.

  4. 4

    Keep referred patients

A follow-up for patients sent for surgery.

  5. 5

    Report on visits, not activity

A report on recall visits and reviews against the baseline taken before anything changed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can we start a WhatsApp group for our contact lens patients?
Avoid it. A group shows every number, mixes questions about individual eyes with everyone else's and cannot be moderated like a consulting room. Use one-to-one messages with consent, and give each patient an easy way to leave.
A patient sends a photo of a prescription and asks us to make the glasses. Is that fine?
Yes, if the prescription is a doctor's and the optical counter checks it before making anything. Keep the photo only for the order and delete it afterwards as your policy says. Do not interpret the prescription for the patient.
Can we put frames and lenses in the WhatsApp catalogue?
Yes, for the optical counter, with a price only where the shop will hold it. Keep the clinic's services out of the catalogue and describe those on your own pages. Check the platform's current commerce rules, and have any offer on eye tests checked with your adviser.
Should the clinic and the optical counter share one WhatsApp number?
Prefer two. One number mixes a patient's reminder with a frame offer, and patients block it. If there is only one number, use it for appointments and reports alone, and let the shop write to its own list from its own number.
Can we advertise offers on glasses and check-ups?
Rules on health advertising differ and change, and discounts on medical services may be restricted. Optical retail is treated differently from the doctor's practice. We keep the two separate and your adviser confirms what each may say.
Can we publish patient testimonials?
Medical council rules restrict testimonials for doctors, and the position differs and changes. Reviews on a listing are written by patients themselves and are different, but your adviser should confirm how to ask for them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
