Our cartons are clean and accurate, but the pharma buyer does not know us.

A pharma packaging buyer is a purchase or packaging development manager at a drug unit. A printing error or a wrong dimension can stop a batch, so they prefer suppliers they can vouch for.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Packaging manufacturers review cartons, pouches and container samples

In one paragraph

Pharma packaging covers the cartons, labels, blister foils, bottles, closures and leaflets used to pack medicines. GullySales builds the product-line pages, the vendor-approval document pack and the quotation follow-up that suit a supplier selling to pharma units, whose buyers care about print accuracy and batch records.

They test samples, ask about your quality records and may add you to an approved vendor list. The supplier who is easy to check is easier to approve.

Last updated 16 Oct 2026. Licence, certification, labelling and advertising rules for pharmaceutical manufacturing differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if pharma packaging is what you make or sell.

  • Carton and folding box printers serving pharma units
  • Makers of aluminium and PVC blister foils
  • Suppliers of bottles, caps and closures
  • Label and leaflet printers for medicines and supplements

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A printer with no process to control artwork changes and print errors
  • A supplier unwilling to hold stock or to meet a pharma unit's approval process

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of pharma packaging.

  1. Approved vendor list

A pharma unit buys packaging from vendors on its approved list. Getting on it takes forms, samples and sometimes a visit.

  2. Artwork control

Buyers ask how you handle artwork approval, version control and mix-up prevention. A clear answer weighs more than a low rate.

  3. Specification and sample match

Board, foil gauge, bottle neck, closure fit: the sample is checked against the specification.

  4. Delivery to batch schedule

Packaging that arrives late stops the line. Buyers ask about stock holding and the lead time you can commit to.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell pharma packaging.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We print well but we are not on any pharma vendor list”

Without registration, you quote only on one-off jobs. Getting listed is a process, and someone has to chase it.

  • “A rate comparison always favours the cheapest printer”

Buyers compare rates until they see what an error costs. Your pages need to speak to control and consistency.

  • “Our samples arrive and no one follows up”

The pack goes to a packaging manager who is busy. A quiet sample is a lost one.

The scope

The work we would propose for pharma packaging.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for pharma packaging.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. Product-line pages

A packaging manager searching for blister foil or printed cartons finds a page that matches.

  2. A vendor-approval pack

Answers a pharma purchase team's first requests in one send.

  3. An artwork-control explainer

Describes how you prevent print errors, in your own words, for the buyer to read.

  4. A registration tracker

Lists which pharma units have you on file, and where each application stands.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified enquiries from pharma units
  • Specification requests received
  • Vendor registrations applied for and approved
  • Samples sent and followed up
  • Trial orders won
  • Repeat orders

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Products you make and the materials for each
  • Your print and converting equipment list
  • A short note on how you control artwork and proofs
  • Pharma customers you serve now, if you may describe them
  • Past quotations and the vendor lists you are on

Export and new regions

Selling pharma packaging beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Overseas pharma units and exporters' suppliers

Packaging is sold to foreign drug makers and to Indian exporters whose buyers specify the pack. We begin with the export-linked orders you already hold.

  2. Language, specifications and shipping

Overseas packs carry local-language text and their specifications, which the buyer's team supplies. Your adviser checks the regulatory text on the pack.

FAQ

Questions about selling pharma packaging.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I get on a pharma unit's vendor list?
Through their purchase or packaging team, with a company pack, samples and often a visit. We prepare the pack and chase the status; the unit decides.
Should a packaging supplier list prices?
No, prices depend on quantity, board and print. Ask for specification and quantity, then quote.
Can I mention the pharma brands I print for?
Only with each brand's written permission. Describe the kinds of pack you print instead.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
