Manufacturing · Plastic Manufacturing

The brand wants a jar that looks premium and costs less, and has asked five makers.

A packaging buyer has a product and a shelf. The brand wants the pack to look right, protect the contents, fit the filling line and cost a certain amount per piece. Those four demands pull against each other.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Plastics technicians inspect moulded parts and containers

In one paragraph

Plastic packaging covers the jars, tubs, closures, pouches, films and trays that hold products on a shelf or in transit. GullySales helps packaging makers reach brand owners and packers, answer their design and price enquiries, and keep the sample and approval steps moving to a repeat order.

The maker who can discuss all four, with samples to hand, is trusted. The one who sends only a price list is asked to cut the price.

Who it is for

This is written for you if plastic packaging is what you make or sell.

  • Makers of jars, tubs, closures and caps in injection or blow moulded plastic
  • Makers of plastic pouches, film and laminates for consumer goods
  • Thermoformers making trays, clamshells and cups
  • Makers who supply both stock packs and custom designs

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A maker who cannot match a colour or a decoration. Brand owners are particular.
  • A maker who cannot give a pack for a food or personal-care product the right assurance. Brand owners will ask about suitability, which is for the brand and its adviser to settle.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of plastic packaging.

  1. Look, feel and shelf presence

The brand manager judges a pack by hand and by eye, and a sample on the desk beats a catalogue photograph.

  2. Fit with the filling line

The packer's operations head checks neck size, closure, fill volume and speed. A pack that does not run on their line is dropped quickly.

  3. Cost per pack and minimum order

A brand compares per-piece cost at the quantity they will actually buy, and the minimum run for a custom colour or print.

  4. Suitability for the product inside

Food, medicine and personal-care brands ask whether the material suits the contents. What applies is for the brand and its adviser to decide, and your page should not claim it.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell plastic packaging.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Brands ask for a quote on a design that has not been decided”

Without a brief form, you cost something the brand will change twice. A form that asks for use, volume and the target price gives a better start.

  • “We lose to a cheaper maker who copies the shape”

Price-led buyers go for the cheapest copy. Brands that value consistency and a decorated pack stay if you show the difference.

  • “Small brands order small and drift away”

Start-up brands want a stock pack with a label. A catalogue of stock packs with a short minimum keeps them until they can afford their own.

What we do

What you get for plastic packaging.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A stock pack catalogue

Sizes, materials and minimums. Lets a start-up brand shortlist you.

  2. A pack brief form

Collects fill, closure and quantity. Cuts the number of calls before a quote.

  3. Product-category pages with pack galleries

Shows packs actually made for the category. A brand sees something like theirs.

  4. A sample tracker

Which brand got which sample, when and what they said.

How the result is measured

  • Pack briefs received
  • Samples sent and approved
  • Quotation requests and follow-up
  • Orders won and repeat orders
  • Enquiries by product category
  • Stock-pack against custom enquiries

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Photographs of packs you make
  • Your stock pack list with sizes and minimums
  • The brands you can name and the ones you cannot
  • Decoration processes you offer
  • The last year's enquiries and their outcomes

Export and new regions

Selling plastic packaging beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Export of plastic packs

Closures and small packs ship well. Large containers are costly to freight empty. Your current export buyers show where to begin.

  2. Specification and compliance

An overseas brand will state what the pack must meet for its market. That is for the brand and your adviser to confirm.

FAQ

Questions about selling plastic packaging.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I win small brands that order small?
Offer stock packs with a low minimum and a way to decorate. When the brand grows, a custom mould becomes the next conversation.
Should we show packs made for named brands?
Only with the brand's consent. Otherwise show the pack with the label removed and name the product category.
What makes a brand choose a maker?
A sample that looks right and runs on their line, a clear price and reliable repeat supply.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
