Manufacturing · Sheet Metal & Fabrication

Anyone with a DXF can get a laser quote in an hour, so we have to be the shop they remember.

Laser cutting is the easiest fabrication service to start and the hardest to hold at a good rate. A buyer sends a file, five shops reply, and the cheapest wins unless something else stands out. What stands out is speed of reply, honesty about what the machine cuts, and a shop that mentions the thing the designer missed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Fabricators inspect laser-cut panels and bent metal enclosures

In one paragraph

Laser cutting uses a focused beam to cut flat sheet and plate into profiles from a CAD file, quickly and with little tooling. GullySales helps laser cutting shops state what they cut by material and thickness, handle a flood of file-based enquiries, and keep the customers who send work again.

Who it is for

This is written for you if laser cutting is what you make or sell.

  • Laser cutting job-work shops with fibre lasers on mild steel, stainless and aluminium
  • Shops cutting for fabricators, signage makers and architectural metalwork
  • Owners with a new laser machine and spare hours to sell
  • Laser shops that want to move from sheet cutting into bent and finished parts

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A shop that cannot reply to files promptly and has no one to read them
  • An owner who wants to compete on rate alone and has no wish to build repeat customers

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of laser cutting.

  1. Thickness by material

The first question is whether the laser cuts the buyer's material and thickness, and what edge quality results. A chart on the page answers it.

  2. File format and nesting

Buyers send DXF, DWG or STEP, and want to know who nests the sheet and whether remnant material is charged. Quotes that explain this are read twice.

  3. Rate by sheet, by length or by piece

Price is compared on a per-piece basis. A buyer looks for the shop that states the basis rather than a rate that cannot be compared.

  4. Edge quality, burrs and finishing

Oxide edge on mild steel, clean edge with nitrogen on stainless and the need for deburring come up. The buyer's next operation decides what they accept.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell laser cutting.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We quote a file and never hear again”

A file is sent to many shops. The one that replies last is not remembered, and no one asks why a quote lost.

  • “Rates fall each time a new machine opens nearby”

Laser machines are common and the cheapest rate wins easy jobs. Without something to separate us, the rate is the only conversation.

  • “Designers send files that cannot be cut as drawn”

Slots narrower than the sheet, overlapping lines and tiny holes cost time. No one has told the customer how to prepare a file.

What we do

What you get for laser cutting.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A cutting capability table

Material, maximum thickness, bed size, gas and edge result. It filters out enquiries the machine cannot do.

  2. A file preparation guide for designers

A short page on slot width, hole size, line types and tolerance. Designers who read it send files that quote cleanly and remember you.

  3. A quotation format with the rate basis shown

Per piece, per sheet or per metre, with nesting and remnants stated. It makes your price comparable and honest.

  4. A page for each repeat use

Signage, architectural metalwork, machine guards and brackets, each with example parts. It matches buyers to the right shop.

  5. A call list of past file senders

Who sent a file, what became of it, and what to ask. It is where the easiest repeat jobs sit.

How the result is measured

  • Files received through the form
  • Quotation requests
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • First-time buyers won
  • Repeat file senders
  • Enquiries outside the machine's range

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Laser machine make, power, bed size and cutting gases
  • Materials and maximum thickness you cut
  • Your last few quotes sent for files
  • Sample cut parts you can photograph
  • Customers who send files regularly
  • Whether you also bend and weld

Export and new regions

Selling laser cutting beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Laser cut parts for overseas buyers

Importers buy cut profiles and small fabricated parts from India. Packing against rust on sea freight and a material certificate are asked for.

  2. Directories and platforms

Alibaba, IndiaMART and trade directories bring overseas file enquiries. The listing text is reviewed, and fees are the platform's own matter.

FAQ

Questions about selling laser cutting.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Why do laser cutting quotes get compared on price so quickly?
Because the file is the same for everyone and the output looks alike. Speed of reply, a material chart and a clear quote basis are the few things that separate one shop from another.
Should I show my rates on the website?
It is a choice for you. Showing a basis, such as per metre cut with a minimum charge, can reduce time-wasting enquiries. Showing a rate that varies by sheet and material is often misleading, so most shops prefer to quote.
I bought a new laser. How do I fill it?
Start with the nearby fabricators and signage makers who outsource cutting. A short call with a sample piece and a clear quote basis wins more than a general advertisement.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
