Manufacturing · Sheet Metal & Fabrication

The press tool is ours and the buyer's volume keeps shifting, so the press stands idle some weeks.

A stamping unit makes money on volume, and volume depends on a few buyers. The die is expensive, the press is fixed, and the cycle is fast, so the shop needs a schedule more than it needs enquiries. The question is who will place the next programme and how the shop gets onto their list.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

Metal stamping in sheet metal work is the punching, blanking, piercing and forming of sheet in a press, using a die, to make parts in large numbers. GullySales helps stamping units present their press range and tooling, and win volume work from automotive, electrical and appliance buyers.

Who it is for

This is written for you if metal stamping is what you make or sell.

  • Press shops with mechanical or hydraulic presses running dies for sheet parts
  • Stamping units supplying clips, brackets, terminals and covers to electrical and automotive buyers
  • Shops that make their own progressive dies or work with a tool room
  • Owners dependent on one or two buyers who want a wider base

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A job shop with no dies of its own that wants to sell short runs only
  • A unit that cannot quote tooling cost and ownership clearly

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of metal stamping.

  1. Press tonnage and bed size

The buyer's first check is whether the presses take the part. A table of presses by tonnage and stroke is read closely.

  2. Tooling cost and ownership

A new part needs a die. Who pays, who owns it and where it is stored when idle are put in the quote, or become a dispute.

  3. Annual volume and release schedule

The quote depends on the expected quantity and the release pattern. A buyer who commits only a trial quantity gets a different rate.

  4. Part approval and process records

Automotive and electrical buyers want dimensional approval of the first parts and control of the process afterwards. The shop that shows its inspection records is easier to place.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell metal stamping.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “One customer's schedule changes and our presses stop”

A single buyer pauses and the shop has no second customer ready. The die cost is already sunk.

  • “Dies sit with us and no one pays storage”

Customer dies take space and care, and the terms were never written. The shop loses money keeping tools it does not use.

  • “Large buyers consolidate vendors and we are not on the list”

A plant reduces suppliers and the shops with approvals stay. Ours was not approved in time.

What we do

What you get for metal stamping.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A press list with tonnage, bed and stroke

In a table on the page and the pack. It filters enquiries by what the presses can take.

  2. A tooling terms note

Cost, ownership, storage, maintenance and what happens at end of programme. It prevents the storage dispute.

  3. A supplier pack for vendor registration

Capacity, equipment, inspection and industries served in one document. It answers the supplier questionnaire in advance.

  4. A part family gallery

Clips, brackets, terminals, washers and covers, each with material and thickness. It matches a buyer's part to your experience.

  5. A buyer list by part type

Companies and roles for each part family, so outreach is by part and not general.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries for stamped parts
  • Vendor registrations started
  • Quotation requests
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • Programmes released
  • Repeat releases

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • List of presses with tonnage, bed size and stroke
  • Dies you own and dies owned by customers
  • Materials and coil widths handled
  • Photographs of stamped parts and the press shop
  • Customers by share of work, for your own view
  • Inspection equipment and records held

Export and new regions

Selling metal stamping beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Stamped parts for overseas assemblers

Overseas electrical and appliance makers buy stamped parts from India. Tooling is often paid by the buyer and owned by them, which changes the quote.

  2. Documents and approvals

A first-article report and material certificate are standard asks. Which further approvals apply is settled with the buyer.

  3. Freight and packing

Small stamped parts travel in volume, so packing against rust and mixing is described in the quote.

FAQ

Questions about selling metal stamping.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I reduce dependence on one customer?
Start with a list of other buyers of the same kind of part and approach them with your press list. A second customer on a different cycle steadies the presses, even at a smaller volume.
Should I ask the customer to pay for the die?
That is a commercial decision. Marketing can only make sure the terms are stated early in the quote. Buyers who place a firm programme usually expect to discuss it.
How does a small stamping unit get vendor approval at a large plant?
By getting a supplier pack to the right person, answering the questionnaire fully and following up. The wait is long and not controlled by marketing, but the follow-up is.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
