The cutting shop sends us the blanks, then forgets us when they find a shop that also bends.

Bending is a service that sits between cutting and welding, and much of the work comes from other fabricators. A laser shop sends blanks to be bent. An enclosure maker has more brackets than its own brake can handle. These buyers want a shop near them that takes the blanks and returns formed parts on a date.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Fabricators inspect laser-cut panels and bent metal enclosures

In one paragraph

CNC bending forms flat sheet blanks into angles, channels and boxes on a press brake controlled by a programme, with a backgauge and tooling to repeat each bend. GullySales helps press brake shops show their bend length, tonnage and tooling, and win steady work from laser cutters and fabricators who outsource bending.

Who it is for

This is written for you if CNC bending is what you make or sell.

  • Press brake shops serving laser cutters, fabricators and panel makers
  • Shops with long-bed brakes for panels and channels
  • Units bending stainless and aluminium that need to show experience with each
  • Owners with a good brake operator and uneven work

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A shop with a single small brake and no programming capability
  • A unit that cannot take a blank from another shop without a dispute over who cut it wrongly

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of CNC bending.

  1. Bed length, tonnage and tooling

The buyer checks the longest bend the brake makes and the thickest sheet it forms. Special tooling for hems, returns and deep boxes is asked about next.

  2. Material springback and grain

Stainless and aluminium bend differently from mild steel. A shop that mentions bend radius and grain direction shows it has met the problem.

  3. Bend drawing or flat pattern

Some buyers send a bent drawing and expect the flat pattern; others send flats. Who develops the flat pattern, and who is liable for an error, decides the quote.

  4. Quantity and setup

Small lots carry setup cost on each. A buyer wants to know where the price per piece settles as quantity rises.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell CNC bending.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Blanks arrive wrong and we are blamed for the bend”

A cutting shop sends oversize or undersize blanks. The final part fails to fit and the argument begins with whoever holds it.

  • “Our brake is idle while another shop's is stacked”

Bending demand is uneven. A neighbour's overflow could fill the idle days if they knew we took it.

  • “Complex bends take hours of programming that nobody pays for”

The quote shows a per-piece rate and hides the programming time. Customers do not realise what a deep box costs.

What we do

What you get for CNC bending.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A brake and tooling sheet

Machine, bed length, tonnage and the tool set held. A buyer sees at once whether the job fits.

  2. A blank intake record

A form noting size, material and defects on arrival. It protects both sides and shows you take care.

  3. A quotation that separates programming and setup

Costs a deep box or a multi-bend part honestly. It reduces haggling over a rate that was never right.

  4. Formed part gallery by shape

Channels, boxes, hems and returns, with material and thickness. It matches the buyer's part to your examples.

  5. A call list of nearby cutting shops

Laser and punching units that outsource bending, with a reason to call each. These are the repeat customers that fill a brake.

How the result is measured

  • Bending enquiries by source
  • Quotation requests
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • New cutting shops sending blanks
  • Repeat orders
  • Blank problems logged on arrival

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Press brake make, tonnage, bed length and controller
  • Tool set list including special tools
  • Examples of complex bends you have done
  • Cutting shops that send you blanks now
  • A recent quotation with bending included
  • Materials you do not like to bend

Export and new regions

Selling CNC bending beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Bending is usually part of a larger job

Overseas buyers rarely ask for bending alone. It is offered within formed parts and enclosures, so the export route is the finished part.

  2. Drawings in the buyer's format

Bent parts need a clear drawing with angles and radii. Whether the buyer supplies a flat pattern is settled before the sample.

FAQ

Questions about selling CNC bending.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is there enough work in outsourced bending?
There is, mostly from other shops that have lasers and not brakes, or the other way round. The work is local and relationship-based, so a call to nearby cutting units does more than a wide campaign.
Who takes the blame if the flat pattern is wrong?
Settle it in the quotation. State who develops the flat pattern and what happens if the first piece does not fit. A written line is cheaper than a quarrel.
How do I show that stainless bending is different?
Show a stainless part with the bend radius and finish protected during bending. A short line on how you avoid marks on a brushed surface is more convincing than a claim.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.
