Orthopaedic clinics · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the knee that hurts on the stairs, not only for your own name.

SEO for an orthopaedic clinic is ranking for what a patient types about a joint, an injury or a procedure, such as knee pain on the stairs or ACL surgery recovery. GullySales writes a page for each condition and procedure you treat, puts the surgeon on it, and fixes what keeps those pages out of results.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For orthopaedic clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “One services page cannot rank for knee, spine and fracture at once”

A paragraph naming arthroscopy, spine surgery, plaster and joint replacement answers nobody's question, so Google shows a hospital chain's page instead.

  • “Patients search the symptom long before the procedure”

A retired teacher types knee pain when getting up from a chair for months before she ever types knee replacement. The clinic with a plain page on that pain meets her first.

  • “The surgeon's name is a search of its own”

A GP says see this surgeon for your shoulder, and the patient searches the name. If the top result is a directory profile with old timings, the call goes to the directory's booking line.

What we do

What we deliver for orthopaedic clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Condition pages in the patient's words

Pages for knee arthritis, a slipped disc, frozen shoulder, ligament tears and fractures, each saying what the condition is, what is tried before surgery and when to see the surgeon.

Result: A patient searching a symptom lands on a page from your clinic.

  2. Procedure pages with the hospital stay explained

Knee replacement, ACL reconstruction and spine surgery pages describing admission, walking with support and the return home, with no promise about the result.

Result: The family reads what the weeks after surgery involve before they call.

  3. A profile page for each surgeon

Qualification, fellowship, medical council registration, and the hospitals and days each surgeon operates and consults, on one page per surgeon.

Result: A search for the surgeon's name finds your page above the directories.

  4. Technical fixes on the existing site

Slow pages, X-ray galleries with no text, missing page titles and pages blocked from search, found and corrected.

Result: Pages worth ranking are no longer held back by the site itself.

  5. Links from each condition to its options

Every condition page points to the conservative care tried first and the procedure it may lead to, so a reader moves from the pain to the choice.

Result: A visitor who arrived on a symptom reaches the booking step.

  6. Enquiries traced to the page that brought them

Calls and WhatsApp messages logged against the search page they came from, compared with the baseline taken before the work began.

Result: You see which condition pages bring consultations.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your patients type

What a patient types about a joint or an injury, and the page that should answer it.

knee pain while climbing stairs
A condition page on knee arthritis. Explain the common causes, what an X-ray shows and what is tried before surgery, and say when to book. Promise nothing about the pain going away.
ACL tear surgery recovery time
A procedure page for ligament reconstruction. Describe the stages of rehab with the physiotherapist and who decides the return to sport, and give no date that applies to every player.
orthopaedic doctor near me open Sunday
The timings page, matching the Maps profile word for word. State the real Sunday hours, whether the X-ray room works that day and which number to ring for a fresh injury.
knee replacement cost with insurance
A cost page. List what decides the bill: implant type, room category, days of stay and cover. Print a range only if your council's rules and the hospital allow it.
MRI shows disc bulge, do I need surgery
A spine page written for second opinions. Explain that the report is read together with an examination, and ask the patient to bring the films and the CD to the consultation.
the surgeon's name plus orthopaedic
The surgeon's profile page. Give the registration, fellowship, hospitals and consulting days. Leave out best and top, words that doctors' advertising rules frown on.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for orthopaedic clinics

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where consultations come from, how fast WhatsApp reports get a reply, the Maps listing for each consulting address, and how many patients advised surgery went quiet.

  2. 2

    Fix the reply

A named person for calls and WhatsApp, replies that offer a slot without diagnosing, and a register of every enquiry by condition.

  3. 3

    Write the condition pages

Pages for knee, hip, shoulder, spine, fractures and sports injuries, with the surgeon, the hospitals and the report route on each.

  4. 4

    Bring patients in

Maps, reviews asked at the right point in recovery, letters to referring GPs and physios, and ads for procedures where the surgeon has theatre time.

  5. 5

    Follow up and measure

Calls to patients advised surgery and to those due for review, with the reason recorded for each, set against the baseline.

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a separate page for each joint?
Yes, for the joints and procedures you want more of. A patient with shoulder pain wants to read about shoulders. Start with the two or three procedures your surgeons most want to do, and add pages as each is written properly rather than all at once.
Should our surgeon write a blog?
Only if it answers real patient questions. One clear article on whether a meniscus tear needs surgery does more than a year of posts for health days. Someone else can draft from his voice notes, but he checks every medical line.
Should we make a page for every locality around the clinic?
No. Pages with the same text and a different area name are what Google demotes. If you consult at two branches, give each its own page with its real address, surgeon days and directions, and leave the rest to the Maps profile.
An agency built our site years ago. Who owns it?
You should. Ask for the domain login, the hosting account and the site's admin access in the clinic's name. While an agency holds them, a change of agency can take your pages down with it.
Is an orthopaedic surgeon allowed to advertise?
Within limits set by medical councils, which differ by state and change. Words such as best or painless, discounts and any promise of a result are the usual problems. We write pages and ads that describe the procedure and the surgeon's qualifications, and you check them against your own council's current rules before they go live.
Can we show a patient walking after a knee replacement?
Ask your council or adviser first. A video or photograph of a result works as a testimonial, and doctors' advertising rules restrict those. If it is allowed, take written consent for that specific use. We would sooner film the physio room and the surgeon explaining the stay.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
