Pathology labs · Search engine optimisation

Be the lab that answers a test search with the preparation, the hours and a way to book.

SEO for a pathology lab means having a page for each test and package patients search by name, such as a thyroid profile, an HbA1c or a fever panel, so the search ends at your counter or your home collection form. GullySales writes those pages around preparation, price and how the report arrives, and fixes whatever keeps them out of results.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For pathology labs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “One 'Our tests' page holds every name and ranks for none”

A single list of everything the lab runs gives Google no page to show for HbA1c or vitamin D. The patient lands on a lab-test app that built a page for each.

  • “The question is asked the night before”

Does a lipid profile need fasting? Should the morning tablet wait until after the draw? Few labs publish an answer, so the patient asks a neighbour and books wherever the neighbour goes.

  • “A check-up package means a different list at every lab”

One lab's full body package is a short list of tests and the next lab's is a long one. Patients compare line by line, so a page that names only the package loses to a page that names every test.

What we do

What we deliver for pathology labs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each test people search by name

Thyroid profile, HbA1c, vitamin D, vitamin B12, lipid profile, urine culture and the fever tests, each saying what is measured, what the patient does beforehand and how to book.

Result: A patient searching one test lands on the page written for it.

  2. Package pages with every test written out

Senior citizen, diabetes, antenatal and pre-employment packages listed test by test, with the preparation and who receives the report.

Result: Two packages can be compared side by side without a phone call.

  3. Preparation notes your pathologist has read

Short pages on fasting, medicines to mention and sample timing, checked by your own pathologist before they go live.

Result: The night-before question reaches your page, not a forum.

  4. Home collection pages for the areas you really cover

A page for each locality on the phlebotomist's route, with the booking route and how the sample travels to the lab.

Result: No page promises a visit in a locality you do not serve.

  5. Answers on reports and rejected samples

Plain pages on how the report arrives, what happens when a sample must be taken again and who explains a value that looks off.

Result: Fewer calls from patients who are only asking where their report is.

  6. Search enquiries logged by the test asked about

Calls, forms and chats from search recorded against the test, set against the baseline taken before work begins.

Result: You see whether search brought samples or only price questions.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your patients type

What a patient types before choosing a lab, and the page that should answer it.

thyroid profile test near me
A test page saying what is measured, what your pathologist asks the patient to do beforehand, the collection hours and how to book or request a home visit.
HbA1c test for diabetes near me
A page for the regular tester: what the test tracks, the preparation your lab asks for and a sign-up for the reminder before the next test the doctor has advised.
full body check up for parents
A package page for the adult child who pays. Name every test, say whether home collection is offered and who explains the report. Show a price only if the lab can hold it.
dengue and typhoid test, fever panel near me
A monsoon page listing the fever tests you run, the early hours and Sunday timing, and when the report reaches the doctor, as far as your lab will stand by it.
urine culture test home collection
A home collection page that explains the sterile container, how the sample is picked up, the areas covered and a number that a person answers.
biopsy or FNAC report, which lab
A page for the pathologist's own work: who reports the slides, how a surgeon or clinic sends the specimen, and how the report returns to the doctor who asked.

Who it is for

This is written for these pathology labs.

  • Neighbourhood labs beside clinics and nursing homes
  • Labs inside a hospital or polyclinic
  • Multi-centre pathology chains in one city
  • Collection centres of a larger reference lab
  • Labs that run corporate and school camps
  • Pathology labs with their own radiology corner

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for pathology labs

  1. 1

Listen to how calls are handled

The free audit call traces where price calls and bookings come from, who answers and what happens during the morning rush.

  2. 2

Fix the first minute of the call

One price sheet, agreed answering hours and a log of every enquiry.

  3. 3

Make the lab findable for the test

Test and package pages, a Business Profile with visible prices and reviews asked for after a smooth collection.

  4. 4

Put the lab in front of the clinic

A sheet for each reception desk and a follow-up, built with your own adviser's view on what may be offered.

  5. 5

    Report on samples, not activity

A report on enquiries, collections, corporate quotes and repeat patients against the baseline taken before anything changed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we publish what a result means, with normal ranges?
Leave interpretation to the doctor. Ranges differ by method and by lab, and a page telling a patient what a number means invites self-treatment. Say what the test measures and who explains the report, and have your pathologist read the page.
A lab-test app ranks above us for every test. Is it worth competing?
Yes, on what an app answers badly: your locality, your early hours, a phlebotomist who knows the building and a report desk that picks up. Write about those. Do not copy the app's price grid, which rests on volume deals you may not match.
Our lab holds accreditation. Should it be on every page?
Say it once, plainly, with the scope as written on the certificate, and link to the certificate. Do not call the lab the best or the most accurate. If accreditation covers some tests and not others, say which, so no page claims more than the certificate.
Our patients search in Hindi or Kannada. Do we need pages in those languages?
For the pages that bring most patients, yes, if the front desk can answer in that language. Write the preparation note and the booking line in it, with test names as people say them. A translated page nobody at the desk can talk to loses the caller at the next step.
Can we pay doctors who send us patients?
Commission or fee-sharing with referring doctors is restricted under medical council rules, and the position differs by state and changes. We do not design or manage any such arrangement. We build the legitimate route: a sheet for the clinic, a named contact and a follow-up.
Can we publish test prices?
Prices are what patients compare, and publishing them usually helps. Rules on health advertising differ by state and by who owns the lab. Avoid claims to be the best or the most accurate, and let your adviser confirm the wording.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
