Pathology labs · Digital marketing

Make the lab findable and answerable first, and let the reels wait.

Digital marketing for a pathology lab means the few places where a patient or a clinic's reception actually looks for a lab: the Maps listing, the pages for your tests, WhatsApp, a small search campaign and the corporate inbox. GullySales puts them in order and records which one brought each sample.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For pathology labs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Attention a lab cannot turn into samples”

A lab with a lively Instagram page and a Maps listing showing the wrong hours has bought attention it cannot collect on. The patient who looked it up arrives at a locked door.

  • “One small budget spread across everything”

A little goes on posts, a little on ads and a little on a blog, and none has enough behind it to be measured. A lab needs one job done properly before the next.

  • “Clinics and HR desks are missed”

A doctor's reception or an HR manager decides for many patients at once, and neither finds a lab through a social feed. A sheet, a rate card and a prompt reply matter more.

What we do

What we deliver for pathology labs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile that matches the counter

Hours, categories, tests, phone and photographs for each centre, corrected and checked against the signboard.

Result: The listing says what the door says.

  2. Pages for the tests and packages people search

A page for each of the tests patients name and for your main packages, each with preparation and a way to book.

Result: A search for a test ends at your lab.

  3. One WhatsApp number for bookings and reports

A business number with a person behind it, consent recorded and approved messages for the routine jobs.

Result: Bookings and report requests stop competing for the desk phone.

  4. A search campaign for one test group

A small campaign for the group with spare capacity, such as home collection, counted by answered calls and collected samples.

Result: The spend is tied to a part of the lab that can take it.

  5. An outreach list of clinics and companies

Practices and HR contacts nearby, a sheet and a rate card for each, and a log of every contact and reply.

Result: Steady work is chased by name, not left to chance.

  6. A source field and a plain report

Every enquiry marked with where it came from and reported against the baseline taken before work started.

Result: You can see which channel brought samples.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start for this trade

The channels a pathology lab should set up, in the order to do them.

Google Business Profile
First job: correct hours, categories, tests and phone for each centre. Record the calls and direction requests it brings, and which home collection requests came through it.
A page for each test and package
Next job: pages for the handful of tests patients search by name, and your main packages. Record which page the call, chat or form came from.
WhatsApp for bookings and reports
Set up one business number with a person behind it and consent recorded. Count the bookings and report requests it takes, so the desk phone's load is visible.
Search ads for one test group
Choose the group with spare collection capacity, such as home collection. Count answered calls and collected samples, not clicks.
Clinics and HR desks
Prepare a sheet for reception desks and a rate card for HR. Log each contact and each reply, because this work is won by following up and not by posting.
What to leave until later
Reels, a mobile app, a long blog and festival posters. Come back to them once the profile, the pages and WhatsApp bring enquiries you can count.

Who it is for

This is written for these pathology labs.

  • Neighbourhood labs beside clinics and nursing homes
  • Labs inside a hospital or polyclinic
  • Multi-centre pathology chains in one city
  • Collection centres of a larger reference lab
  • Labs that run corporate and school camps
  • Pathology labs with their own radiology corner

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for pathology labs

  1. 1

Listen to how calls are handled

The free audit call traces where price calls and bookings come from, who answers and what happens during the morning rush.

  2. 2

Fix the first minute of the call

One price sheet, agreed answering hours and a log of every enquiry.

  3. 3

Make the lab findable for the test

Test and package pages, a Business Profile with visible prices and reviews asked for after a smooth collection.

  4. 4

Put the lab in front of the clinic

A sheet for each reception desk and a follow-up, built with your own adviser's view on what may be offered.

  5. 5

    Report on samples, not activity

A report on enquiries, collections, corporate quotes and repeat patients against the baseline taken before anything changed.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

  • A baseline before anything starts

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can our front desk handle digital marketing themselves?
Part of it. The desk can answer messages, ask for reviews and log enquiries, which matters more than anything else on the list. Pages, ads and tracking need someone who does them as a job, and the owner must read the numbers.
With a small budget, which channel should come first?
The Business Profile, which costs care and not money, and then pages for your main tests. Add ads only once the desk answers and logs every call. Ads that ring an unanswered phone waste money at any budget.
How do we tell what worked without buying software?
Ask every caller how they found the lab and write it in a field. Count calls from the profile and chats on WhatsApp. Then match those counts to samples collected. A register and one careful person are enough to start.
Do we still need ads once our pages rank?
Ads fill a gap in a test group or a locality where your pages do not yet appear, and they work at once. Pages keep working after the spend stops but take time. Keep both while one covers what the other has not reached.
Can we pay doctors who send us patients?
Commission or fee-sharing with referring doctors is restricted under medical council rules, and the position differs by state and changes. We do not design or manage any such arrangement. We build the legitimate route: a sheet for the clinic, a named contact and a follow-up.
Can we publish test prices?
Prices are what patients compare, and publishing them usually helps. Rules on health advertising differ by state and by who owns the lab. Avoid claims to be the best or the most accurate, and let your adviser confirm the wording.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
