Pathology labs · Review generation

Ask for the review when the draw was painless and the report was right, not at the billing counter.

Review generation for a pathology lab means a plain, honest ask at the moment patients are most likely to feel the lab did well, so recent reviews keep arriving on Google. GullySales sets the moments, the link and the wording, and keeps the lab inside the platform's rules and its patients' privacy.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What review generation means

In a clinic or practice a review is a public statement by a patient, and asking for one is restricted or unwise in several regulated professions. Review generation here is proof that does not depend on a patient writing in public: the professional listing kept accurate, the note back to the referring doctor, and a reply that never confirms somebody was a patient. GullySales sets that up and tracks what arrives without soliciting it.

Last updated 6 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For pathology labs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The ask lands on a hungry patient”

A fasting patient asked for a review at billing wants breakfast, not a phone. The same person with the report in hand, hours later, is far more willing.

  • “Only the angry write”

Patients who had a clean draw and a correct report do not think of writing. The lab's reviews then come from the few who waited or were pricked twice.

  • “Staff are handed review targets”

A target per person makes the counter pick likely patients and hurry the rest. The platform treats that as gating, and readers can tell from the wording.

What we do

What we deliver for pathology labs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. The right moment for each kind of visit

Walk-in, home collection and corporate camp each given the point where an ask is easiest to accept and least pushy.

Result: Patients are asked when they are ready, not when it suits the desk.

  2. A review link and QR for each centre

The link and QR printed at the counter and placed in the report message, with one per centre so reviews land on the right listing.

Result: A review reaches the centre that earned it.

  3. A short script for whoever asks

Words in English and the local language, and a rule to ask every patient and not a chosen few.

Result: The ask sounds the same from every staff member.

  4. A reply routine for every review

A named person who thanks each review in a line and keeps test names and results out of every reply.

Result: The next patient sees a lab that listens.

  5. Reviews counted against visits

Reviews gained set against patients seen and against the baseline recorded before any asking began.

Result: You can see whether the ask is reaching the people who had a good visit.

How the result is measured

  • Reviews received
  • Average rating
  • Response rate to requests

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Asking for reviews the right way

The moments in a lab visit when a happy patient is easiest to ask, and what never to do.

After a painless draw, at the counter
The patient has just seen that it went well. Hand over a card with the QR and say that a review of the visit helps others choose. Do not ask someone who is unwell or still fasting.
Home collection, after the phlebotomist leaves
Send one message with the review link to the registered number, only to patients who agreed to messages. Do not ask on the doorstep, where the patient may feel obliged.
When the report arrives
Put one line and the link beneath the report message. Never mention the test or the result in the ask, and check the platform's current rules on how reviews may be requested.
Corporate camp days
Place one QR at the exit desk and ask the camp lead to mention it once. Check that the HR contact is content with the ask, since staff review as employees of the company.
Never gate, pay or set quotas
Do not pick only happy patients, offer a discount or gift, or set review targets for staff. Look at how your own asks are made and read the platform's current rules.
Reply to every review
Thank each one in a line and keep health details out. A reply to a good review is read by the next patient deciding, and a reply to a bad one is read by many more.

Who it is for

This is written for these pathology labs.

  • Neighbourhood labs beside clinics and nursing homes
  • Labs inside a hospital or polyclinic
  • Multi-centre pathology chains in one city
  • Collection centres of a larger reference lab
  • Labs that run corporate and school camps
  • Pathology labs with their own radiology corner

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for pathology labs

  1. 1

Listen to how calls are handled

The free audit call traces where price calls and bookings come from, who answers and what happens during the morning rush.

  2. 2

Fix the first minute of the call

One price sheet, agreed answering hours and a log of every enquiry.

  3. 3

Make the lab findable for the test

Test and package pages, a Business Profile with visible prices and reviews asked for after a smooth collection.

  4. 4

Put the lab in front of the clinic

A sheet for each reception desk and a follow-up, built with your own adviser's view on what may be offered.

  5. 5

    Report on samples, not activity

A report on enquiries, collections, corporate quotes and repeat patients against the baseline taken before anything changed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we ask at the counter or in the report message?
Use the report message for everyone, since it reaches home collection patients too, and a card at the counter for walk-ins who like a person to ask. Two routes, one link per centre, and no patient asked twice. Record which route you used for each.
A patient said no when we asked. What do we do?
Thank them and leave it. Do not ask again at the next visit unless they raise it. A patient who feels pushed becomes the one-star review you were trying to avoid, and the desk needs to be the one that remembers a no.
A happy review thanks our technician by name. Can we pass it on?
Yes, privately, and thank the technician. In the public reply, thank the patient without repeating the name or the test. Do not pay for mentions, which turns reviews into a target and invites every staff member to ask for the same.
We have two centres. Should one review link serve both?
No. Each centre has its own listing, so give each its own link and QR. A review that lands on the wrong centre hurts the one it names and leaves the other bare. Print the right code at each counter and use the right link in each message.
Can we pay doctors who send us patients?
Commission or fee-sharing with referring doctors is restricted under medical council rules, and the position differs by state and changes. We do not design or manage any such arrangement. We build the legitimate route: a sheet for the clinic, a named contact and a follow-up.
Can we publish test prices?
Prices are what patients compare, and publishing them usually helps. Rules on health advertising differ by state and by who owns the lab. Avoid claims to be the best or the most accurate, and let your adviser confirm the wording.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
