Personal care brands · Content marketing

Answer the question she asks before she trusts the label.

Content marketing for a personal care brand is writing and filming the answers a buyer looks for before she buys: what is in it, how to use it and whether it suits her. GullySales finds those questions in your reviews, DMs and chemist conversations, then has each one answered by a page or a video that your formulator has checked.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For personal care brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The back of the pack is the only explanation she gets”

The ingredient list is in small print and Latin names. Nobody tells her what each one does, who should be careful, or what to do if she reacts.

  • “Beauty tips fill the blog and sell nothing”

Posts such as five winter skincare tips draw readers who never buy, while the question how do I patch test goes unanswered.

  • “Nobody who knows the product has read the page”

A blog post about dandruff, written by a freelancer who has never met your formulator, carries a claim that your own test report does not support.

What we do

What we deliver for personal care brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A question bank taken from your own messages

Reviews, DMs, marketplace questions and what chemists get asked, sorted by the point in the decision where each one comes up.

Result: You write what buyers ask, not what you guessed.

  2. An ingredient guide in plain words

Each key ingredient explained: what it is, why it is in the formula and who should be careful, written from your formulator's notes.

Result: The small print on the pack becomes something she can read.

  3. A use guide for each hero product

How much, how often, on wet or dry hair and what to apply first, as a short page and a short video.

Result: Shoppers use the product as intended and judge it fairly.

  4. A fact-check step before anything goes live

A named person, your formulator or regulatory adviser, reads every piece for accuracy and flags health claims, with the date reviewed noted on the page.

Result: Nothing is published that the formula sheet does not support.

  5. A patch test and reaction page

A plain page on how to patch test, what a reaction looks like and when to stop and see a doctor, linked from every product page.

Result: The worst review is answered before it is written.

  6. Content read against orders

Which pieces buyers read before ordering, which ones chemists forward, and which are never opened, set against the starting figures.

Result: You keep writing what moves orders.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Questions buyers ask first

What a buyer asks before she buys, and the piece that answers it.

Which shampoo is right for my scalp?
A short guide that sorts scalps by how they feel, oily, dry or flaky, then points to the products made for each. Publish it as a page and as a short video.
What does this ingredient do, and is it safe?
One page for each key ingredient: what it is, why it is in the formula and who should be careful. Have your formulator check it, and never claim that an ingredient treats a condition.
How do I patch test?
A short step-by-step page with a photograph of where to test and how long to wait. Link it from every product page and print the address on the carton.
Why did my skin sting after I used it?
A calm page on why a product can sting, when to stop and when to see a doctor. It answers the worst review before it is written. No blame and no diagnosis.
Is this the original, and where do I buy it?
A page showing the genuine pack, where batch and manufacturing details sit, and the shops and listings you have approved. Look-alike packs get sold online, so say where to buy.
How much do I use, and with what?
A use guide for each product with the quantity, its place in a routine and what not to mix it with. Shoppers who use too much blame the product for the result.

Who it is for

This is written for these personal care brands.

  • Soap, bath and body brands
  • Shampoo, conditioner and hair oil brands
  • Face wash, skincare and sunscreen brands
  • Ayurvedic and herbal personal care brands
  • Baby care and mother care brands
  • Men's grooming, beard and shaving brands

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for personal care brands

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the product sells, which outlets reorder, what the reviews say about skin and hair reactions, and how trade enquiries are answered.

  2. 2

    Check the claims

Every line on the pack, the listing and the ads is read against your licence and test reports, and doubtful words go to your adviser before anything is printed.

  3. 3

Build the shelf and the listing

Product pages, offer sheets and listings written from the label, so a shopper and a chemist both find what they came to check.

  4. 4

Open channels one at a time

Chemists, a new district, salons or a marketplace, added in the order your stock, cash and reorder records can carry.

  5. 5

    Track the second purchase

Reorder tracking, review replies and seasonal packs based on who bought again, not on who followed the page.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Who should write our content, us or an agency?
The facts come from you: your formulator, your test reports and your customers' questions. An agency can turn them into plain pages and video, if someone with product knowledge checks each piece before it goes live. A generic writer on their own produces generic beauty tips.
Do we need to publish in Hindi and regional languages?
Write in the language your buyers speak at the counter. A hair oil sold in Kerala needs Malayalam on its use guide as much as English. Start with the pages buyers read before ordering, then add languages where your orders come from.
Should we start with video or with text?
Start with text on the product page, because that is what a search finds and what an assistant can quote. Add a short use video for each hero product, since texture and quantity are easier to show than to describe.
Can we mention a doctor or dermatologist in our content?
Only in general terms, and with care. Doctors are bound by their council's rules on endorsing products, and the rules differ by state and body, so check with your adviser before quoting one. A formulator's note on an ingredient is safer than a doctor's endorsement.
Do we need a licence before we market a soap or a cream?
Cosmetics and Ayurvedic products are both regulated, with rules on licences, labels and claims that differ by product and change over time. Check yours with a regulatory consultant or your contract manufacturer before you print a pack or write a listing. We ask for the licence and test reports at the start, so no copy goes out that the file cannot back.
Should we sell on Nykaa and Amazon before we go to chemists?
Start where your buyer already searches. A hair oil for older buyers moves through chemists and kirana shops, and a serum for younger buyers moves on marketplaces. Pick one channel, let reviews or reorders build, then add the next. Opening everywhere together splits your stock and your attention.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
