Personal care brands · Lead generation

Reply to the salon owner who asked for the professional range price.

Lead generation for a personal care brand means collecting the enquiries that turn into stockists and orders: distributors, chemists, salons, private label buyers and hotel purchase managers, along with a shopper's trial request. GullySales builds the route each one arrives by and the follow-up that nobody has time for.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For personal care brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The trade enquiry sits in the shopper inbox”

A distributor asking about open districts lands beside order tracking questions and gets an automatic reply about delivery.

  • “A sample goes out and nobody follows it”

The salon owner received a trial pack in March. Nobody rang to ask what she thought, and she went on using her old brand.

  • “The private label buyer asks what you have never written down”

She wants minimum order, formula options and the licences you hold. Without a sheet, she asks the next manufacturer on her list.

  • “An IndiaMART enquiry goes cold by evening”

It arrives at five, someone sees it on Monday, and the buyer has already spoken to two other makers.

What we do

What we deliver for personal care brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A trade enquiry route of its own

A separate form and address for distributors, stockists and private label buyers, kept out of the shopper queue and answered by a named person.

Result: Trade buyers stop going quiet because nobody replied.

  2. A distributor and stockist pack

The range, margin, return terms for near-expiry stock, display help and the districts open, in one document a buyer can show a partner.

Result: A distributor can decide without three follow-up calls.

  3. A salon professional range sheet

Back-bar sizes, the salon price list, how the product is used in a service and a trial pack, kept apart from the shopper catalogue.

Result: A salon owner sees what she can charge and what she will use.

  4. A private label capability sheet

The products you can make, minimum order, licences held, packing options and what the buyer must supply.

Result: A brand owner can judge you before she calls.

  5. A sample follow-up routine

Every trial pack logged with who received it, the date and the person who will ring to ask how it went.

    Result: Samples turn into conversations.

  6. One register for every enquiry

Source, who asked, which product, what was sent, who replied and what happened, so a slow reply shows up as a lost order.

Result: You can see what an unanswered enquiry cost.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places a personal care brand's enquiries arrive, and what to record at each.

Distributor enquiry on the website or IndiaMART
Record the district, the brands he already carries and the size of his godown. Reply with the distributor pack and the districts still open, and ask for a call.
Chemist walk-in or a medical representative's visit
Record the shop, the owner and which products were left behind. Return with a margin sheet and a plan to take back near-expiry packs, so the first order carries no risk.
Salon owner on WhatsApp or an Instagram DM
Record the salon, the services it sells and the product asked about. Send the professional range sheet and a trial pack, and note who will ask how it went.
Private label or contract enquiry
Record the product type, the volume expected and the licences needed. Send the capability sheet and ask for the brief in writing before quoting anything.
Hotel or corporate gifting enquiry
Record the quantity, the delivery date and whether a logo or custom pack is wanted. Date and quantity decide if the order is possible, so ask for both before you quote.
Shopper trial pack or sample request
Record the product, the city and where she found you. Follow up once the pack should have arrived, ask if she used it, and offer a reorder link.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for personal care brands

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the product sells, which outlets reorder, what the reviews say about skin and hair reactions, and how trade enquiries are answered.

  2. 2

    Check the claims

Every line on the pack, the listing and the ads is read against your licence and test reports, and doubtful words go to your adviser before anything is printed.

  3. 3

Build the shelf and the listing

Product pages, offer sheets and listings written from the label, so a shopper and a chemist both find what they came to check.

  4. 4

Open channels one at a time

Chemists, a new district, salons or a marketplace, added in the order your stock, cash and reorder records can carry.

  5. 5

    Track the second purchase

Reorder tracking, review replies and seasonal packs based on who bought again, not on who followed the page.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we buy a list of chemists or salons?
No. A bought list gives you names with no interest and no consent. Build your own from distributor outlet lists, stockist enquiries and field visits, and call the people who asked. Messages to bought contacts can breach consent rules and harm your sender reputation.
The same salon has enquired three times. How do we avoid duplicates?
Keep one register keyed by phone number and check it before logging a new enquiry. Add the new source to the existing record instead of starting another. Three enquiries from one salon show interest, so tell whoever owns that account.
What counts as a qualified lead for us?
Write it down for each channel. A distributor has a godown, delivers in your districts and carries compatible brands. A salon sells services where your product is used. A private label buyer shares a brief and her licence plan. Revise the rule once you see which enquiries become orders.
Do exhibitions and field visits count as leads?
Yes. Put them in the same register, with the event or the beat as the source. Cards collected at a beauty expo are worth nothing if nobody calls. Log them on the day, and decide who calls whom before the stall is booked.
Do we need a licence before we market a soap or a cream?
Cosmetics and Ayurvedic products are both regulated, with rules on licences, labels and claims that differ by product and change over time. Check yours with a regulatory consultant or your contract manufacturer before you print a pack or write a listing. We ask for the licence and test reports at the start, so no copy goes out that the file cannot back.
Should we sell on Nykaa and Amazon before we go to chemists?
Start where your buyer already searches. A hair oil for older buyers moves through chemists and kirana shops, and a serum for younger buyers moves on marketplaces. Pick one channel, let reviews or reorders build, then add the next. Opening everywhere together splits your stock and your attention.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
