Personal care brands · Influencer marketing

Pay the creator whose followers have the skin or hair you make for.

Influencer marketing for a personal care brand means giving or paying creators to show your product in their own routine, so followers see it used on skin and hair like theirs. GullySales picks creators by who actually follows them, writes a brief that keeps claims inside the label, and gives each creator a code that traces orders.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What influencer marketing means

Influencer marketing means paying or partnering with local personalities and creators to talk about your business to their own audience. It works well where trust is built by a familiar face rather than an advert. GullySales finds creators whose audience matches your buyers and manages the brief and payment terms.

For personal care brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A famous face with the wrong audience”

A celebrity post reaches a huge audience, most of it outside your price band and your stocked cities, and the orders do not move.

  • “The creator promises what the pack never did”

She says the serum clears marks in a week. The pack says nothing of the kind, and the brand has to answer for it to the platform and the advertising regulator.

  • “Doctors are not creators for hire”

A dermatologist's reel recommending your cream can breach her own council's advertising rules, and it puts the brand in an awkward place with her.

What we do

What we deliver for personal care brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A shortlist matched to your buyer

Skin and hair creators who speak the language of your main markets, checked for real comments from real accounts and for the cities their audience lives in.

Result: Posts reach people who can buy where you sell.

  2. A brief that lists the claims allowed

What a creator may say about fragrance, texture, ingredients and use, what is off limits, the disclosure line and which product to show.

Result: Nobody improvises a result on your behalf.

  3. A routine on camera, not a script

Creators use the product over several days in their own routine and say honestly how it felt, including when it did not suit them.

Result: The post reads like a person, not an advert.

  4. Usage rights written into the deal

Where you may reuse the video, for how long, and whether the raw clip comes with it for your ads and your retailer broadcast.

Result: A good post becomes an advert instead of a memory.

  5. A code and a link for each creator

A separate discount code, marketplace link or WhatsApp number for every creator, so each order traces to the person who sold it.

Result: You renew the creators whose followers bought.

  6. A read of what each creator sold

Orders, returns and reviews tied to each code and set beside the fee, so renewal rests on sales rather than on views.

Result: The budget moves to what paid back.

How the result is measured

  • Reach per creator
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries traced to a creator

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who to work with

Who to brief for a soap, an oil or a cream, and what to settle before the first post.

Skin and hair routine creators
Pick creators who show a full routine over several uses. Ask for the texture, how much she took and how it felt, in her own words. A dry-scalp routine suits a hair oil and does not suit a sunscreen.
Regional-language creators
For hair oil, herbal soap and baby care, a creator speaking Tamil, Telugu, Kannada or Malayalam to her own town does more than a national face. Check that her comments come from real people there.
Doctors and dermatologists
Doctors are bound by their council's rules on advertising and endorsing products, which differ by state and body and change. Do not ask one to recommend your product. Check with the council first.
Disclosure of gifted and paid posts
Ask for the paid or gifted tag in the caption and said on camera. Advertising and platform rules on this change, so check the current ones before the first brief goes out.
What to ask for in return
Ask for the raw clip, the right to run it as an advert for a named period, and a screenshot of her audience's top cities before you pay.
Who not to use
Skip creators who show before and after photographs of skin, who make treatment claims, or whose comments are mostly emojis from accounts with no posts.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for personal care brands

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the product sells, which outlets reorder, what the reviews say about skin and hair reactions, and how trade enquiries are answered.

  2. 2

    Check the claims

Every line on the pack, the listing and the ads is read against your licence and test reports, and doubtful words go to your adviser before anything is printed.

  3. 3

Build the shelf and the listing

Product pages, offer sheets and listings written from the label, so a shopper and a chemist both find what they came to check.

  4. 4

Open channels one at a time

Chemists, a new district, salons or a marketplace, added in the order your stock, cash and reorder records can carry.

  5. 5

    Track the second purchase

Reorder tracking, review replies and seasonal packs based on who bought again, not on who followed the page.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we send free kits or pay for posts?
Free kits suit small creators who like the product and post if they want to. A paid post gets a post on an agreed date, to a brief. Start with kits to find who actually uses it, then pay the ones whose followers ask where to buy. Say which one you are doing in the brief.
Are small creators better than big ones for a new brand?
For most new brands, yes. A creator with a close audience answers comments and her followers ask where to buy. A big creator brings views. Test several small ones first and read the orders on each code before paying a large fee.
What if a creator makes a claim that is not on our label?
Ask her to take the post down or edit it the same day, and tell your regulatory adviser. The brand answers for what a paid creator says. Prevent it by putting the allowed words in the brief and reading each draft before it is posted.
How do we tell whether a creator's followers are real?
Open her recent posts and read the comments. Real followers write specific things about the product and ask where to buy it. A pile of emojis and one-word replies from accounts with no posts is a warning. Ask for her audience's cities from her own insights page.
Do we need a licence before we market a soap or a cream?
Cosmetics and Ayurvedic products are both regulated, with rules on licences, labels and claims that differ by product and change over time. Check yours with a regulatory consultant or your contract manufacturer before you print a pack or write a listing. We ask for the licence and test reports at the start, so no copy goes out that the file cannot back.
Should we sell on Nykaa and Amazon before we go to chemists?
Start where your buyer already searches. A hair oil for older buyers moves through chemists and kirana shops, and a serum for younger buyers moves on marketplaces. Pick one channel, let reviews or reorders build, then add the next. Opening everywhere together splits your stock and your attention.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
