Personal care brands · Social media

Show the product on skin and hair, then tell her what to do next.

Social media for a personal care brand means showing a product being used, on real skin and hair, where your buyers already scroll. GullySales plans posts around how each product is applied, decides who appears on camera, and gives every post one action, such as a link, a WhatsApp message or a shop to visit.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For personal care brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A styled flat-lay does not show how it feels”

Shoppers want the lather, the texture and how much to take. A tidy photograph of the bottle tells her none of it, and she scrolls on.

  • “The comment section is a customer care desk”

One person asks whether it suits oily skin, another reports a rash, a third asks where to buy it. When nobody answers, the next shopper reads the silence.

  • “The reel gets views and ends in nothing”

The caption says follow us. There is no link, no shop name and no WhatsApp number, so interest stops where it began.

What we do

What we deliver for personal care brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A content plan built on how each product is used

One reel format for every hero product, such as the oil massage, the lather test or the three-step routine, planned with the person who knows the formula.

Result: Posts show the product doing its job.

  2. A rule for who is on camera

The founder, the formulator, customers who have given written consent and staff, each with a line on what they may say about a product.

Result: Nobody improvises a claim on camera.

  3. A reply routine for comments and DMs

Standard answers on suitability, ingredients and where to buy, and a rule that any mention of a reaction moves to a private message with the batch number.

Result: The shopper reading the comments sees a brand that answers.

  4. One action on every post

A link, a WhatsApp number, a shop name or a locator page set on each post and tagged, so the order can be traced back to it.

Result: A view turns into an order you can count.

  5. A season and festival calendar

Winter dry skin, the rains, Rakhi, Diwali and the wedding season mapped to what each product is bought for, with gift packs posted early.

Result: Posts arrive when buyers are looking.

  6. A short list of what the account never posts

Formats and phrases ruled out in writing, checked against the label and your adviser's advice, and handed to anyone who posts.

Result: The account does not carry a claim your pack cannot.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Platform for this buyer

Where a personal care buyer spends her time, what to post there and the one action to ask for.

Instagram reels
Show the product in use in real time: the lather, the oil on the scalp, the cream sinking in. End with one action, such as the link in the bio or a reply with a single word.
YouTube Shorts and how-to videos
Answer one question per video, such as how often to oil or how much face wash to take. Put the product link in the description and in a pinned comment.
WhatsApp broadcast or Channel
For repeat buyers and retailers. Post new stock, a festival pack or a refill reminder only to people who agreed to hear from you, and keep a record of when each one opted in.
Facebook pages and groups
Useful for hair oil, soap and herbal brands whose buyers are older and read in a regional language. Post in that language and answer each comment under the post.
Retailer-facing posts
Short videos for chemists and salon owners showing the display, the margin and how to reorder. A retailer deciding whether to stock you looks at your page first.
What not to post
Before and after photographs, claims that a product cures, lightens or repairs, and customer pictures used without permission. Platform and advertising rules change, so check the current ones.

Who it is for

This is written for these personal care brands.

  • Soap, bath and body brands
  • Shampoo, conditioner and hair oil brands
  • Face wash, skincare and sunscreen brands
  • Ayurvedic and herbal personal care brands
  • Baby care and mother care brands
  • Men's grooming, beard and shaving brands
  • Handmade and small-batch natural soap makers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for personal care brands

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where the product sells, which outlets reorder, what the reviews say about skin and hair reactions, and how trade enquiries are answered.

  2. 2

    Check the claims

Every line on the pack, the listing and the ads is read against your licence and test reports, and doubtful words go to your adviser before anything is printed.

  3. 3

Build the shelf and the listing

Product pages, offer sheets and listings written from the label, so a shopper and a chemist both find what they came to check.

  4. 4

Open channels one at a time

Chemists, a new district, salons or a marketplace, added in the order your stock, cash and reorder records can carry.

  5. 5

    Track the second purchase

Reorder tracking, review replies and seasonal packs based on who bought again, not on who followed the page.

    • Logo and colour palette
    • Printed stationery
    • Social accounts opened

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should the founder be on camera?
If she knows the formula and is comfortable, yes, in short plain videos about how a product is made or used. Customers trust a person. If she is not comfortable, use the formulator or a trained team member, and keep the founder for the brand's own story.
How should we answer skin type questions in DMs?
Answer with what is on the label: the ingredients, who the product is made for and the patch test advice. Do not diagnose or promise a result. For a skin condition, say a dermatologist is the right person, and offer the full ingredient list.
Can we repost a customer's photograph?
Only with her clear permission, in writing or in a saved message that says where the picture will appear. A tag is not permission. Keep the message with the post record, and take the picture down when she asks.
Should we post gift packs for Rakhi and Diwali?
Yes, once the stock is ready and the courier dates are known. Post early enough for a buyer to order and receive, and do not promise a delivery date you cannot keep. A festival post for stock that is not ready sends the buyer to a rival.
Do we need a licence before we market a soap or a cream?
Cosmetics and Ayurvedic products are both regulated, with rules on licences, labels and claims that differ by product and change over time. Check yours with a regulatory consultant or your contract manufacturer before you print a pack or write a listing. We ask for the licence and test reports at the start, so no copy goes out that the file cannot back.
Should we sell on Nykaa and Amazon before we go to chemists?
Start where your buyer already searches. A hair oil for older buyers moves through chemists and kirana shops, and a serum for younger buyers moves on marketplaces. Pick one channel, let reviews or reorders build, then add the next. Opening everywhere together splits your stock and your attention.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
