Remodelling and home improvement contractors · Branding

Your brand is the truck, the yard sign and the crew's first morning.

Branding for a remodelling company is what a homeowner decides about you from the truck outside, the yard sign, the proposal and the first morning of demolition. GullySales settles who you build for and at what level, then puts it on everything a homeowner actually sees.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For remodelling and home improvement contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Pick a budget band or the market picks it for you

A company showing a cabinet reface beside a whole-house renovation gets priced against both. Homeowners sort contractors by level, and your portfolio is what tells them yours.

  • Design-build and general contracting are two different promises

One says bring us an idea and we will draw it. The other says bring us the drawings. Homeowners cannot tell which you are unless the first line says so.

  • The yard sign is the cheapest advertising on that street

Six weeks outside one house, read by every neighbour and every school run. Most are faded, crowded and never say which room you did.

What we do

What we deliver for remodelling and home improvement contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A positioning decision about who you build for

The rooms, the budget band and the kind of homeowner you want, written as a paragraph everybody in the company can repeat.

Result: You stop bidding against companies you should never meet.

  2. A proposal document that looks like the work

Your estimate rebuilt as a document with photographs, scope, allowances, the schedule and the design agreement, rather than a spreadsheet print-out.

Result: The most expensive quote is also the most convincing one.

  3. Trucks, signs and jobsite presentation

Vehicle lettering, yard signs naming the room, site banners and crew shirts, specified once so the street reads the same message for six weeks.

Result: Every job advertises the next one.

  4. A portfolio organised the way homeowners shop

Projects sorted by room, style and budget band, with the same images used on the site, on Houzz and inside the proposal.

Result: A homeowner can find work at their own level without asking.

  5. The words the company uses about itself

One description of what you do, used on the website, the profiles, the proposal and the first phone call, with the design-build question answered plainly.

Result: Homeowners stop asking what kind of contractor you are.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for remodelling and home improvement contractors

  1. 1

    Assess

The free audit goes through last year's enquiries. How many became a consultation, how many became a design agreement, and what happened to all the rest?

  2. 2

    Qualify earlier

A budget conversation on the phone, wording that is honest about what work in your market costs, and the design agreement explained before the visit.

  3. 3

    Show the work

Project photography, room by room pages, and a portfolio a homeowner can browse by style and by budget.

  4. 4

    Follow up for months

A written sequence for enquiries that are not ready, with a date against every one and nothing left to memory.

  5. 5

    Go back to past clients

Completed projects contacted about the rooms still undone, and referrals asked for at handover instead of hoped for.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a new logo?
Probably not first. Put the money into photography, the proposal document and the truck lettering, which homeowners see far more often than a logo. Come back to the mark once the rest is consistent.
Is a NARI or NAHB membership worth it?
It reassures the homeowner who checks, and it is not what wins the job. The portfolio, the reviews and the proposal do that. Join if you will use the badge and the network, not to fill a footer.
How do we ask about budget without scaring people off?
Give a number first, then ask. Say what the kitchens you build in this market start at, then ask whether that is the range they had in mind. It gets an honest answer far more often than asking what their budget is. The people who walk away at that point were never going to sign.
Should we charge for design?
Most remodellers should, once they have a portfolio worth paying for. A design fee filters out the shoppers and pays for the drawings, and crediting part of it against the build makes it easier to accept. If you are new and have little to show, free design may still be buying you the work you need to photograph.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
