Remodelling and home improvement contractors · Email marketing

The kitchen client from four years ago is quoting the bathroom to strangers.

Email for a remodelling company holds an enquiry through the months before a homeowner is ready, and goes back to past clients about the room they still have not done. GullySales writes both sequences and runs them off your own project records.

A post room: a wall rack of pigeonholes with sorted letters and strapped bundles, a loaded mail trolley wheeled up in front of it, and on the bench a franking machine with one envelope under the press arm, franked and cleared

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For remodelling and home improvement contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A remodelling list gets better with age

The homeowner who enquired two years ago and did nothing is two years closer to spending. Most contractors delete that list or never build one at all.

  • Past clients are a room list, not a mailing list

Your records already say who has done the kitchen and not the primary bath. An email about the room they still live with is a different message from a newsletter.

  • The project update email is marketing nobody counts

The weekly note to a live client gets opened every time and forwarded to family. Written properly it earns the referral before the job is finished.

What we do

What we deliver for remodelling and home improvement contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A sequence for enquiries that are not ready

Dated emails carrying finished projects, cost updates and practical guides, running for as long as the homeowner takes, with calls scheduled alongside.

Result: You are still in the conversation when the money arrives.

  2. A past client programme built on rooms not yet done

Every completed project recorded with the year, the rooms finished and the rooms remaining, with a reason and a month to make contact.

Result: Repeat work comes back with no lead fee attached.

  3. Weekly project updates written as a template

A format the project manager fills in each week covering progress, the next step and any change order, sent to the homeowner and kept on file.

Result: Clients feel informed and tell people so.

  4. A referral and neighbour email

A note to the client at handover asking for names, and a message to past clients on the same street the week a new job starts nearby.

Result: One street produces more than one job.

  5. The list kept clean and reported on

Unsubscribes honoured, addresses tidied, and a monthly count of enquiries and consultations traced to email against the audit baseline.

Result: You can see what the list is worth.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

This is written for these remodelling and home improvement contractors.

  • Single-trade companies expanding into full remodels

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for remodelling and home improvement contractors

  1. 1

    Assess

The free audit goes through last year's enquiries. How many became a consultation, how many became a design agreement, and what happened to all the rest?

  2. 2

    Qualify earlier

A budget conversation on the phone, wording that is honest about what work in your market costs, and the design agreement explained before the visit.

  3. 3

    Show the work

Project photography, room by room pages, and a portfolio a homeowner can browse by style and by budget.

  4. 4

    Follow up for months

A written sequence for enquiries that are not ready, with a date against every one and nothing left to memory.

  5. 5

    Go back to past clients

Completed projects contacted about the rooms still undone, and referrals asked for at handover instead of hoped for.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

What do we send somebody who is not ready for a year?
Finished projects, cost updates and the practical guides, on a slow schedule. A homeowner planning a kitchen will open a photograph of a kitchen in their town. Selling in every email is what gets you unsubscribed.
Is email better than calling for follow-up?
It supports calling rather than replacing it. The call gets you an answer and the email keeps you visible in between. A sequence with no phone calls in it is a way of feeling busy.
How do we ask about budget without scaring people off?
Give a number first, then ask. Say what the kitchens you build in this market start at, then ask whether that is the range they had in mind. It gets an honest answer far more often than asking what their budget is. The people who walk away at that point were never going to sign.
Should we charge for design?
Most remodellers should, once they have a portfolio worth paying for. A design fee filters out the shoppers and pays for the drawings, and crediting part of it against the build makes it easier to accept. If you are new and have little to show, free design may still be buying you the work you need to photograph.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
