Remodelling and home improvement contractors · Reputation management

The review that decides your next kitchen is about dust and a missed Friday.

Reputation management for a remodelling company is about what homeowners write after living through your build: the schedule, the change orders, the clean-up. GullySales asks for reviews at the moment they get written, answers the difficult ones, and watches what the street is saying.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For remodelling and home improvement contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Nobody reviews the cabinetry, they review the six weeks

Homeowners write about dust, parking, whether the crew turned up on Monday and how a change order was explained. Your best kitchen can earn three stars for a schedule nobody updated.

  • The review lands while the job is still open

A homeowner frustrated in week four does not wait for handover to say so. A weekly update and a named person to complain to keeps that off a public page.

  • Nextdoor settles a lot of remodelling work you never see

Neighbours ask for a contractor in a group you cannot advertise in. What gets said there comes from the last job on that street and the state of its driveway.

What we do

What we deliver for remodelling and home improvement contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A review request built into the final walkthrough

The ask made in person while the driveway is being swept, the link sent the same day, and Google and Houzz both covered.

Result: Your newest review carries this month's date.

  2. Weekly updates while the job is running

A short written note to the homeowner each week with what happened, what comes next and any change order, so complaints reach you first.

Result: Frustration arrives on your phone instead of a review page.

  3. Replies written for the hard reviews

Answers to complaints about delays, dust, change orders and subcontractors, written straight and without argument, ready for the owner to approve.

Result: A reader sees a company that handles problems.

  4. Neighbour and jobsite handling

A letter for the houses either side before the dumpster arrives, a clean sign, and a number to ring about parking, prepared for the crew to use.

Result: The street talks about the job you did, not the mess.

  5. A monthly summary of what came up

Every review, comment and mention found that month, what was answered, and the complaint that keeps repeating, set against the audit baseline.

Result: The complaint gets dealt with where it starts, on the jobsite.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for remodelling and home improvement contractors

  1. 1

    Assess

The free audit goes through last year's enquiries. How many became a consultation, how many became a design agreement, and what happened to all the rest?

  2. 2

    Qualify earlier

A budget conversation on the phone, wording that is honest about what work in your market costs, and the design agreement explained before the visit.

  3. 3

    Show the work

Project photography, room by room pages, and a portfolio a homeowner can browse by style and by budget.

  4. 4

    Follow up for months

A written sequence for enquiries that are not ready, with a date against every one and nothing left to memory.

  5. 5

    Go back to past clients

Completed projects contacted about the rooms still undone, and referrals asked for at handover instead of hoped for.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

When should we ask for the review?
At the final walkthrough, when the dumpster has gone and the homeowner has their kitchen back. Ask in person, then send the link the same day. Waiting a fortnight loses most of them.
Someone left one star over a delay that was not our fault. What now?
Reply once, plainly, with the facts and no argument, and say what you would do differently. Homeowners reading it judge the reply more than the complaint. Then check whether your updates during that job were good enough.
How do we ask about budget without scaring people off?
Give a number first, then ask. Say what the kitchens you build in this market start at, then ask whether that is the range they had in mind. It gets an honest answer far more often than asking what their budget is. The people who walk away at that point were never going to sign.
Should we charge for design?
Most remodellers should, once they have a portfolio worth paying for. A design fee filters out the shoppers and pays for the drawings, and crediting part of it against the build makes it easier to accept. If you are new and have little to show, free design may still be buying you the work you need to photograph.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
