Remodelling and home improvement contractors · Digital marketing

Plan the year backwards from the summer build calendar.

Digital marketing for a remodelling company is the plan across search, directories, social and email for a decision that runs six months or longer. GullySales decides what each channel is for, funds photography before advertising, and reports on design agreements rather than clicks.

A steam traction engine belted across a stackyard to a wooden threshing machine: the long flat belt taut between the flywheel and the drive pulley, the flywheel spinning, a straw elevator raking up off the far end, a full sack hanging on the sack spout, a corn stack half taken down behind and a water cart standing by

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For remodelling and home improvement contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Photography is the line everything else depends on

Search, Houzz, Instagram and the estimate all run on the same pictures. One properly photographed kitchen does more for every channel than a bigger budget pointed at phone snaps.

  • Your marketing year is not your build year

The advertising that fills August runs in January, and the writing that fills next January gets done while the crews are flat out. Contractors market when they are quiet, which is already too late.

  • Directories and your own channels do different jobs

A directory fee buys a lead this week and leaves nothing behind. Your own pages and reviews cost more at the start and end the fee. Fund both on purpose.

What we do

What we deliver for remodelling and home improvement contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan with a job for each

What search, Houzz, Angi, Instagram, email and referrals are each meant to do, written down with a budget and a named owner.

Result: Spending decisions stop happening on a Friday afternoon.

  2. A photography programme before an ad budget

A shoot booked on finished projects, releases signed at handover, and the images sorted by room, style and budget band for every channel to draw on.

Result: Every channel improves without spending more on it.

  3. A twelve-month calendar built on your build season

What runs in the planning weeks after the holidays, what runs through spring, and what gets written while the crews are busy in summer.

Result: You advertise ahead of the season instead of into it.

  4. Tracking that survives a phone call

Separate numbers and forms by source, with each enquiry recorded in your project software so a signed job can be traced back to where it came from.

Result: The budget argument gets settled with numbers.

  5. One reporting sheet for the whole programme

Enquiries, consultations, design agreements and signed builds by source and by room, reported each month against the baseline from the audit.

Result: You can drop a channel without guessing.

  6. A quarterly decision on what to stop

A review of which sources produced signed builds and which produced evenings, with a recommendation on what to cut.

Result: The plan gets smaller and better instead of longer.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for remodelling and home improvement contractors

  1. 1

    Assess

The free audit goes through last year's enquiries. How many became a consultation, how many became a design agreement, and what happened to all the rest?

  2. 2

    Qualify earlier

A budget conversation on the phone, wording that is honest about what work in your market costs, and the design agreement explained before the visit.

  3. 3

    Show the work

Project photography, room by room pages, and a portfolio a homeowner can browse by style and by budget.

  4. 4

    Follow up for months

A written sequence for enquiries that are not ready, with a date against every one and nothing left to memory.

  5. 5

    Go back to past clients

Completed projects contacted about the rooms still undone, and referrals asked for at handover instead of hoped for.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • Hours that fit your day, agreed up front

Which hours we overlap with yours is settled before any work starts, so you know when a reply is coming and when it is not.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much should a remodelling company spend on marketing?
There is no percentage worth quoting. The free audit scopes the work and the fee goes in writing, split between our time, what you spend on advertising and what production costs. Photography is where most remodellers should send the production money.
Which channel brings the best jobs?
Referrals and past clients, every time, and they are the ones nobody manages. Search and directories fill the gaps while that base is small. The audit counts last year's jobs by source so the answer comes from your own numbers.
How do we ask about budget without scaring people off?
Give a number first, then ask. Say what the kitchens you build in this market start at, then ask whether that is the range they had in mind. It gets an honest answer far more often than asking what their budget is. The people who walk away at that point were never going to sign.
Should we charge for design?
Most remodellers should, once they have a portfolio worth paying for. A design fee filters out the shoppers and pays for the drawings, and crediting part of it against the build makes it easier to accept. If you are new and have little to show, free design may still be buying you the work you need to photograph.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
