Colleges and universities · Website

Build the college website around programmes and admissions, not the chairman's message.

Website development for a college is building a site where an applicant can find a programme, check eligibility, fees and approvals, and apply or book a visit without phoning. GullySales plans the structure around admissions, writes the programme pages with your departments, and connects every form to the admissions record.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

For colleges and universities

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The homepage is a notice board”

Circulars, exam timetables, tenders and event photos crowd the homepage, and the admissions link hides in a dropdown. Current students and applicants fight for the same space.

  • “Disclosures buried as scanned PDFs”

Approvals, committee lists and the documents regulators expect are uploaded as scans nobody can search. A parent looking for proof gives up.

  • “Forms that go nowhere”

The enquiry form emails an address someone set up long ago. Nobody opens it in June.

What we do

What we deliver for colleges and universities.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An admissions-first structure

Programmes, admissions, fees, hostel and placements in the main menu, with notices and circulars for current students in a section of their own.

Result: An applicant reaches the course page in one tap.

  2. Programme pages written with departments

Eligibility, entrance exams, a syllabus outline, labs, faculty and outcomes for every programme, checked by the head of department.

Result: Each programme has a page that can rank and persuade.

  3. An approvals and disclosures section

Approval letters, affiliation, accreditation and the disclosures your regulators expect, as searchable pages with the documents attached.

Result: A parent can verify the college without calling.

  4. Application and visit forms tied to the admissions record

Every form writes to the admissions record with the programme and the source, and sends the applicant a confirmation.

Result: No form sits unread in an old inbox.

  5. Pages that load on a phone over mobile data

Images compressed, galleries trimmed and PDFs turned into pages, then tested on an ordinary phone.

Result: A student in a small town can open the fee page.

  6. Domain and hosting in the trust's name

Domain, hosting and admin logins registered to the institution, with a handover document kept in the office.

Result: The site survives a change of vendor.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What the page must show

What a college website must show before an applicant picks up the phone.

Programmes under the names students search
Use the names on the approval and in common use, such as B.Tech Computer Science or BBA Aviation, each with its own page. Do not hide them behind a Departments menu.
Eligibility and the route in
State the qualifying exam, the marks rule your approving body sets, the entrance tests accepted and the counselling code. Link to the official source for anything that changes.
Fees with every head listed
Tuition, hostel, mess, transport, exam and other fees for the current year, with the refund terms. If fees differ by quota or round, say so plainly.
Approvals, affiliation and accreditation
Show the approving bodies, the affiliating university and the accreditation grade with validity dates, linked to the documents. Parents check these before anything else.
Hostel and campus life
Rooms, mess, wardens, entry timings, medical help and bus routes, with photographs of the real rooms. Outstation parents decide on this page.
Placements stated so they can be checked
Year, students eligible, students placed and recruiters, from the placement cell's records. Leave out any highest package you cannot back with an offer letter.

  • Business schools and PGDM institutes
  • Nursing, pharmacy and allied health colleges

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for colleges and universities

  1. 1

    Audit the last admission cycle

We trace where last year's applicants came from, how fast the office replied during counselling, how many visited and how many paid, using your admission register and portal exports.

  2. 2

Fix the record and the reply

One enquiry record for every source, a fee sheet every counsellor uses, and saved WhatsApp replies for hostel, fees and documents.

  3. 3

Rebuild the programme and placement pages

A page per programme with eligibility, fees and approvals, and a placement page built from the placement cell's records.

  4. 4

    Bring applicants in before results

Search, portals, school outreach and social channels set up ahead of each programme's result dates, with budget moved towards whatever produces campus visits.

  5. 5

Follow through to the fee receipt

Every applicant followed through each counselling round to a paid admission or a clear no, measured against the baseline taken at the start.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a profile on the education portals enough, or do we need our own site?
You need your own. Portal pages carry rival colleges' adverts and the portal's lead forms, and you do not control what they say. Keep the portal profiles accurate and make your own site the place with the full facts.
Should the site be in a regional language too?
The pages parents read, yes: admissions, fees, hostel and contact. Programme pages can stay in English for students. Use a proper translation checked by staff rather than an automatic widget.
Our site is slow because of event photo galleries. What do we do?
Move old galleries off the main pages, compress what stays, and replace PDF prospectuses with ordinary pages. Then test the admissions pages on a basic phone over mobile data, which is how many applicants first see them.
Who should own the domain and hosting?
The trust or society that runs the college, in its own name, with logins held by a named office-bearer and copies kept in the office. Colleges lose their site when a vendor or a former employee holds the domain. Check the registrant before any rebuild.
Can we advertise our NAAC grade, NIRF rank and placement record?
Yes, if each is current and stated exactly as awarded, with the year. Regulators and consumer protection rules treat misleading claims about approvals, rankings and placements seriously, and the rules change, so have your regulator's current guidance or a legal adviser check the wording. Never print a highest package without the year and the number of students placed.
Our admissions run on counselling rounds. When should marketing start?
Before the entrance results. A student builds the shortlist on result night and locks options soon after, so programme pages and search visibility must already be in place. Advertising can wait for the weeks around results and option entry.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
