Household products brands · Lead generation

Reply to the housekeeping head and the distributor before a rival's salesman does.

Lead generation for a household products brand is bringing in distributorship, institutional, apartment, retailer and private label enquiries, then answering and sorting each one before it goes cold. GullySales sets up the sources, writes the first reply and records which source produced a distributor, a contract or an order.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For household products brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A sample request lives on one salesman's phone”

A hostel warden asked for a can on a call. The salesman noted it in his head, and the warden ordered from whoever sent a sample first.

  • “Shop enquiries outside the beat are never written down”

A kirana owner two towns away asks the salesman for stock one evening. Nobody records it, so nobody tells the distributor.

  • “Traders posing as buyers fill the portal inbox”

A bulk enquiry on IndiaMART may be a hotel or a trader hunting for a cheaper rate to resell. Without a question to tell them apart, both get the same time.

What we do

What we deliver for household products brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A sample request routine for institutions

One form and one number for hostels, hotels and hospitals, a log of who asked for what, and a day set to call after the trial.

Result: No sample goes out without a callback booked.

  2. A distributorship enquiry filter

Questions on district, brands carried, godown and vehicles on the form, so the calls go to people who can run a territory.

Result: Distributor meetings are held with people who can serve the district.

  3. A shop request register for salesmen

A page in the sales app or sheet where the salesman writes shops that asked for stock, passed to the nearest distributor with a check on whether it was billed.

Result: A request becomes an order or a reason it did not.

  4. A portal enquiry sort for bulk buyers

Each IndiaMART or TradeIndia enquiry tagged as institution, trader, private label or consumer, with a reply written for each.

Result: Serious buyers are answered first.

  5. A society and PG enquiry sheet

A list of apartment managers and PG operators who asked for bulk cans, with flats, current supplier and date of the last order.

Result: A bulk lead has an owner and a next call.

  6. Sources compared with orders

Enquiries from each source set against samples sent, accounts opened and distributors appointed, against the starting figures.

Result: You know which source produced the account.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

Where a household products brand's enquiries arrive, and what to record and reply at each.

Hostel warden or housekeeping head asking for a sample
Record the institution, number of rooms or residents, can size wanted, current supplier and who signs the purchase. Send the can with a dilution card and fix the day to call after the trial.
Distributorship enquiry from your site or a portal
Record the district, brands carried, godown size and vehicles. Reply with your terms and ask for a call before any visit, and mark the portal as the source.
Apartment manager or committee asking for bulk
Note the society's name, flats, who approves purchases and the invoice details needed. Send a written quote the committee can table at its next meeting.
Shop outside your beats asking the salesman
The salesman writes the shop's name, area and the packs asked for that same evening. Pass it to the nearest distributor, and check later whether the shop was billed.
IndiaMART or TradeIndia bulk enquiry
Log the product, pack, quantity and city. Reply with can sizes, case quantity and registrations, and mark enquiries that look like traders reselling.
Private label request from a chain or a brand
Write down the brand, the product, the format and the volume. Ask for their specification and label artwork before quoting, and record any sample sent.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for household products brands

  1. 1

    Read the records

In the free audit we go through billing by distributor and shop, institutional orders, returns of leaking stock and last season's sales, so the first decision rests on records.

  2. 2

    Fix the offer

Margins, schemes, claim rules, the can and pouch price lists and the sample terms, written down and checked against what the brand can afford after the festival.

  3. 3

Equip the shop and the buyer

Counter kits, dilution cards, a selling script for the salesman and a sheet or app he will actually fill in.

  4. 4

Open one channel at a time

A new district, hostels and hotels, apartments, a chain or quick commerce, each opened when the plant, the cash and the distributors can carry it.

  5. 5

    Run the seasons

Diwali, summer and monsoon plans built from what reordered last year, with schemes judged on shops reached, not cartons billed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we pay a distributorship portal for leads?
Try it for a short period and count how many leads became appointments. The same number is often sold to several brands, so the first reply wins. Keep your own distributorship page working too, so serious people can reach you without the portal.
How do we handle one buyer who enquired on three channels?
Keep one record per person, found by phone number, and add each new contact to it. Tell the salesmen who owns the lead. A hostel warden who gets three different callers from your company will buy from none of them.
What counts as a qualified distributor lead?
He has a godown and vehicles in the district, carries related goods, and can say how much working capital he can put in. Write that standard down, so the sales team and the portal both use it.
Do visits to the factory gate count as leads?
Yes. A trader who walks in for stock is a lead as much as a portal enquiry. Put a visitor register at the gate with name, shop, product and phone number, and have someone call every entry the same day.
Is a refill pouch worth launching?
Often, for floor cleaner and dishwash, because the pouch costs less to make and carry and the shopper sees a lower price per use. Test it in one district beside the bottle first. Check that the shop keeps it upright, since pouches stacked badly leak.
How do we begin selling to hostels and hotels?
Start with ten or twenty institutions in one city. Send a can with a dilution card, ask who signs the purchase, and call when the trial is due to finish. Housekeeping heads reorder from whoever answered their questions and delivered when promised.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
