Household products brands · Outdoor advertising

Put the board by the cleaning shelf, and the wall where the wholesaler's lorry stops.

Outdoor advertising for a household products brand is shop boards, wall paintings, hoardings and vehicle branding placed on the beats and wholesale routes where your pack is already stocked. GullySales picks sites against the outlet list, checks permissions and artwork, and ties each site to the billing of the shops near it.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What outdoor advertising means

Outdoor advertising is the hoarding, billboard, bus shelter or digital screen on a road your buyers already use. GullySales picks the sites from where your customers actually come from, coordinates the booking with the media owner, and gives the campaign a traceable route so it is not judged on guesswork.

For household products brands

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A highway hoarding in a district without stock”

A big board sells nothing when the shop below it has never heard of the bottle. Boards belong where the distributor delivers.

  • “The board shows the brand and not the pack”

A passer-by who sees only a logo cannot tell whether it is detergent or phenyl. The bottle, the job and the price point belong on the board.

  • “Wholesale markets decide more than passers-by”

The kirana owner chooses his stock in a market lane and not on the road. A board on that lane reaches the person who fills a hundred shelves.

What we do

What we deliver for household products brands.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A site list built from the outlet list

Shops, wholesale lanes and village routes where the pack is stocked, ranked by the billing near them, with the type of board each suits.

Result: Money is spent where the pack can be bought.

  2. Shop board and glow sign plan

Boards for retailers who agree in writing to stock the range, with the pack, the job and the price point on each.

Result: A board marks a shop that holds your stock.

  3. Wall painting routes

Walls on village and small-town routes chosen from the distributor's beat, with the owner's written consent and a photograph of each wall.

Result: Villages on the route see the pack before the salesman arrives.

  4. Wholesale lane boards

Boards at wholesalers' counters and in the market lane where retailers buy, agreed with the wholesaler.

Result: The person who fills the shelves sees you first.

  5. Distributor vehicle branding

Vans and tempos that deliver to shops, branded with the range and a number for retailers, within local rules.

Result: The vehicle that reaches every shop carries the brand.

  6. A check by shop billing

Billing in shops near each site compared with similar shops far from any, over the same weeks, with a note from retailers on whether shoppers mention it.

Result: You learn which sites to renew.

How the result is measured

  • Sites booked
  • Proof of display received
  • Enquiries quoting the campaign route

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it is bought, and approved

How a household products brand buys outdoor, from shop boards to hoardings, and who has to agree first.

Shop boards and glow signs
Bought per shop through a local printer. The retailer's consent and a note on what he will stock come first. Some towns charge a fee on signboards, so ask the local body.
Wall paintings on village and town routes
Bought per wall from painters who tour a district. Get the owner's written consent, photograph the wall before and after, and agree how long the painting stays.
Boards in the wholesale market lane
Agree with the wholesaler whose wall or shutter carries it, and ask the market association whether any permission is needed. Rules differ by market and change.
Hoardings and bus shelters
Bought by site and period from a media owner. Ask to see the local body licence and the landowner's consent, and visit at dusk to see the lighting and which way it faces.
Distributor vans and tempos
Bought per vehicle for a period, or agreed with the distributor. Check the local transport rules on vehicle advertising, and keep the wording the same as on the boards.
How to tell it worked
Choose sites near shops you already bill, then compare their billing with similar shops far from any site over the same weeks. Ask retailers whether shoppers mention the board.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for household products brands

  1. 1

    Read the records

In the free audit we go through billing by distributor and shop, institutional orders, returns of leaking stock and last season's sales, so the first decision rests on records.

  2. 2

    Fix the offer

Margins, schemes, claim rules, the can and pouch price lists and the sample terms, written down and checked against what the brand can afford after the festival.

  3. 3

Equip the shop and the buyer

Counter kits, dilution cards, a selling script for the salesman and a sheet or app he will actually fill in.

  4. 4

Open one channel at a time

A new district, hostels and hotels, apartments, a chain or quick commerce, each opened when the plant, the cash and the distributors can carry it.

  5. 5

    Run the seasons

Diwali, summer and monsoon plans built from what reordered last year, with schemes judged on shops reached, not cartons billed.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a hoarding worth it for a brand sold in kirana shops?
Seldom on its own. A hoarding helps where it faces a road your distributor serves, near markets where retailers shop. In a district without stock it sends shoppers to a shelf with no pack on it.
What goes on the board, the brand or the product?
Both, in that order of size: the pack, the job it does and the price point. A logo alone does not tell a passer-by whether the shop sells detergent or phenyl, and it does not prompt anyone to ask for it.
Who pays the local fee on a shop board?
Settle it before the painter arrives. Some retailers expect the brand to pay and some pay themselves for a scheme in return. Write who pays on the same note as the stock agreement, and keep the receipt.
Does wall painting work in cities?
Less than in villages and small towns. Many city bodies restrict it, and walls get covered by posters. In a city, shop boards, market lane boards and branded distributor vehicles reach the same buyers with fewer permissions.
Is a refill pouch worth launching?
Often, for floor cleaner and dishwash, because the pouch costs less to make and carry and the shopper sees a lower price per use. Test it in one district beside the bottle first. Check that the shop keeps it upright, since pouches stacked badly leak.
How do we begin selling to hostels and hotels?
Start with ten or twenty institutions in one city. Send a can with a dilution card, ask who signs the purchase, and call when the trial is due to finish. Housekeeping heads reorder from whoever answered their questions and delivered when promised.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
