Jewellery retailers · Customer retention

The family that bought the bridal set should buy the baby's bangles from you too.

Retention for a jewellery retailer is measured in years and occasions, not in repeat visits this quarter. A family returns for a wedding, a naming ceremony, a festival purchase and an exchange. GullySales keeps the occasion calendar, the exchange relationship and the savings scheme working so the store is the one they return to.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What customer retention means

Customer retention is keeping an existing customer buying again rather than losing them to a competitor after the first purchase, usually cheaper than winning a new customer. GullySales sets a routine of check-ins and renewal reminders aimed at customers before they show signs of leaving.

For jewellery retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your exchange policy is the real loyalty scheme”

A customer who knows she will get a fair value for old gold at your counter has a reason to buy here rather than anywhere else. Publish the working and hold to it, and the policy does more than any points card.

  • “A points card fails where the visit is once in two years”

Loyalty schemes work on frequency, and jewellery has almost none. The savings scheme, where the customer pays in instalments towards a purchase, is the one that fits this trade because it commits her to coming back.

  • “She returns to a person, not to a showroom”

The salesperson who remembers the daughter's wedding is the reason the family walks past two newer stores. Record who served whom, and route the returning customer to the same person.

What we do

What we deliver for jewellery retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An occasion calendar built from past purchases

Anniversaries, birthdays and the occasions behind earlier orders held as dates, with a contact planned ahead of each.

Result: The store calls with a reason rather than with an offer.

  2. Old gold exchange reminders to past customers

A list of customers who have exchanged before, contacted ahead of the festival calendar when exchange interest rises.

Result: A likely buyer hears from you before she hears from a competitor.

  3. Savings scheme enrolment and follow-through

A routine for inviting customers into the instalment scheme, and for contacting a member who has missed a payment before she drops out.

Result: Members complete the scheme and buy at the end of it.

  4. Returning customers routed to the same salesperson

The record showing who served the family last time, so the same person greets them when they come back.

Result: The relationship survives even as staff change shifts.

  5. Repeat and referral visits reported against the baseline

Visits and orders from existing customers reported separately from new enquiries, against the baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You can see whether the customer base is being kept or spent.

How the result is measured

  • Retention rate
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Customers won back

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these jewellery retailers.

  • Bridal and wedding jewellery showrooms
  • Gold and diamond jewellery retail chains
  • Silver and artificial jewellery stores
  • Certified diamond and solitaire retailers
  • Traditional and antique jewellery stores
  • Single-showroom family jewellers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. 01 · First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. 06 · At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for jewellery retailers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at how your showroom is found for bridal and festive searches, how fast WhatsApp design enquiries are answered, and what last festival season's campaign actually produced.

  2. 2

Fix the profile and the reply

Google Business Profile and Maps listing kept current for every showroom, and a WhatsApp routine for design and price enquiries.

  3. 3

Build the pages that get searched

Pages for bridal collections, diamond jewellery and gold rate transparency, written for the questions a buyer actually asks before a visit.

  4. 4

    Plan the festive calendar

Campaigns built ahead of Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras and the wedding season, with the enquiry desk staffed for the spike.

  5. 5

Bring buyers in and keep them

Local search, Google Ads timed to the season, and a referral and exchange-reminder routine for past bridal customers.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is a loyalty points card worth running for a jewellery store?
Rarely. Customers buy too seldom for points to build up into anything they care about. Put the effort into the savings scheme and the exchange terms, which are the two things that genuinely bring a family back.
How do we keep in touch without becoming a nuisance?
Contact with a reason attached: her anniversary, a collection in the style she bought last time, or a rate movement she asked to know about. A broadcast of the same offer to everybody is what makes customers block a store.
How far ahead should we plan for a festival like Akshaya Tritiya?
At least six to eight weeks, so the pages, the ad budget and the enquiry desk are ready before the search volume rises. Planning the week before means missing most of the spike.
Do we need Google Ads or just SEO?
Ads for the festival and wedding-season spikes when you need showroom footfall in a fixed window; SEO for buyers researching months in advance. Most jewellers use both around the calendar.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
