Manufacturing · Automotive Components

Electric vehicle makers are looking for new suppliers, and you do not appear when they search.

The electric vehicle trade is full of companies that are new, small and still deciding who will make their parts. They search openly and take quotations from makers they have never met. That is an opening for a component maker who is findable and a risk for one who promises what the plant cannot yet do.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Automotive engineers inspect gears, brakes and moulded vehicle parts

In one paragraph

EV components are the parts specific to electric vehicles, such as battery enclosures, busbars, motor parts, charger housings, cooling plates and power connectors. GullySales helps their makers explain what they can build, reach young vehicle companies and battery builders, and follow up the quotations that come in.

Most makers entering this field come from another one: sheet metal, castings, plastics or wiring. The page has to say what you already make well and where it fits an electric vehicle, without claiming the whole vehicle.

Last updated 16 Oct 2026. Licence, certification, labelling and advertising rules for automotive components differ by product and change. We describe them in general terms, so check the current position with your own adviser or the regulator before you publish a claim.

Who it is for

This is written for you if EV components is what you make or sell.

  • Sheet metal and fabrication shops making battery enclosures and chassis parts
  • Foundries and machine shops making motor housings and cooling parts
  • Busbar, connector and cable makers moving toward electric vehicles
  • Plastics makers supplying charger housings and interior parts

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A maker who has not yet decided to invest in the equipment or tooling these parts need
  • A shop hoping a website will replace the validation work a vehicle programme requires

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of EV components.

  1. New buyers, short supplier lists

Young vehicle companies ask peers and search online. If a fabricator or machinist shows relevant work, they are on the list.

  2. Prototype lots before production

A buyer orders a few units to test design. Willingness to quote small, fast prototype runs decides who is invited to production.

  3. Safety and thermal requirements

Battery and charger parts carry requirements on heat, ingress and insulation. The buyer states them on the drawing and asks how you meet them. What applies is specific to the part and set by the buyer and the testing body.

  4. Design change is normal

Drawings change during development. Buyers choose partners who take a revised drawing without friction.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell EV components.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We supply petrol vehicle parts and nobody sees us for electric”

Your capability could fit, but your site describes only the old programmes.

  • “Prototype enquiries are small and we treat them as small”

A five-piece prototype order is the entrance to a production programme. It gets a slow reply because the value looks low.

  • “Start-up buyers vanish after a quotation”

Funding rounds, redesigns and delays mean silence. A follow-up routine keeps you in line when the programme restarts.

The scope

The work we would propose for EV components.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for EV components.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A page for each electric vehicle part type you can make

Battery enclosure, busbar, motor housing, each with materials and processes, so a search by part reaches the right page.

  2. A prototype enquiry route

A short form and a named contact so that a small, urgent enquiry is answered by someone with authority.

  3. A start-up and battery-builder target list

Company names, roles and the part each could need from you.

  4. A programme-stage tracker

Records where each buyer is in design, prototype or production, and who calls next.

How the result is measured

  • Electric vehicle enquiries received
  • Prototype quotations sent
  • Prototype orders won
  • Follow-up made on each quotation
  • Production orders after prototype
  • Programmes tracked by stage

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Parts you have already made that could fit an electric vehicle
  • Your materials, processes and equipment list
  • Any electric vehicle enquiries received so far
  • Prototype work done for any customer, described without names if needed
  • Certificates and test reports you hold

Export and new regions

Selling EV components beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Overseas electric vehicle start-ups

Some buyers abroad look for lower-cost build-to-print capacity for enclosures and metal parts. Your existing export buyers are the first guide.

  2. Battery transport and samples

Parts that touch batteries can have shipping limits. Check with your freight agent before you promise samples.

FAQ

Questions about selling EV components.

I have never made an electric vehicle part. Can I still market for it?
Only for what you can honestly make. If your sheet metal or machining work fits an enclosure or a housing, say so with examples. Do not claim capability you would have to build first.
Are electric vehicle buyers worth the effort if they are small?
Some are, some vanish. The cost of a quick reply is low, so we make that routine and watch which accounts grow into production.
Do I need approvals before I market?
What applies depends on the part and the buyer. Ask your adviser or the buyer's quality team. We do not state specific requirements on your pages.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
