Manufacturing · Casting & Foundry
A buyer can see our steel foundry has a furnace, not whether it has the heat treatment they need.
Steel castings are bought on specification. The drawing names a grade, a heat treatment and a testing regime, and the buyer's quality team signs off before a rupee is paid. A foundry that cannot show it holds the right grade and the right inspection is not shortlisted, however good the metal is.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph
Steel casting means pouring carbon, alloy or stainless steel into moulds to make heavy, load-bearing parts for mining, power, rail, cement and valve applications. GullySales helps steel foundries put grades, heat treatment, non-destructive testing and weight range in front of engineers who specify the part.
That makes the first page of your website more important than it looks. It is read by an engineer looking for reasons to remove a name from the list.

Who it is for
This is written for you if steel casting is what you make or sell.
- Carbon, low-alloy and stainless steel foundries with induction or arc furnaces
- Foundries supplying mining, cement, power, rail and valve buyers
- Units with in-house heat treatment and machining
- Foundries that want repeat work from OEMs and not only spot orders
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- A foundry without any inspection capability that expects to win critical-duty orders
- A unit looking to be listed with a particular buyer through marketing alone. Vendor approval is the buyer's process.
How buyers choose
What decides the sale of steel casting.
The specification and grade on the drawing
The engineer checks whether you have cast the grade before. A list of grades and the parts made in them is more useful than a general claim.
Heat treatment and non-destructive testing
Normalising, quenching and tempering, then radiography, ultrasonic or dye-penetrant inspection, appear in the quotation request. Buyers ask who does each and with what equipment.
Weight per piece and feeding
A buyer with a three-tonne casting wants to know your melt capacity and crane limit. Say it plainly.
Vendor approval and first-article inspection
Power, rail and mining buyers have an approval process. It takes time, and it favours the foundry that keeps its documents ready.
Where orders are lost
What usually goes wrong when you sell steel casting.
In the words owners use on the first call.
“They want to see the test reports before they will quote”
Reports exist but sit in a file, and the first reply goes out without them. The buyer moves to the foundry that attached them.
“Our heat treatment is outsourced and buyers worry about it”
The foundry has a trusted partner but does not say so. A buyer reading a page that is silent assumes the worst.
“One big customer goes quiet for a year”
Steel casting orders come in lumps. With no other pipeline, the furnace waits.
The scope
The work we would propose for steel casting.
Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.
- A grade, testing and heat-treatment pageOne page that lists the grades poured, the inspection methods, who does the heat treatment, and the largest piece you handle.
- Account plans for the few big buyersFor each large customer: who specifies, who buys, who inspects, what they will need next year.
- Prospecting among mining, cement and valve makersA list of equipment makers and plant maintenance buyers who order steel castings, with parts they use.
- Quotation follow-up with the quality teamA call to the buyer's quality contact after the quotation, since they often decide first.
A vendor-approval document set
Profile, grade list, equipment, test procedures and past supply, collected in one set for registration forms.
What we do
What you get for steel casting.
Each deliverable and what it is there to change.
A grade and inspection statement
Written once, attached to every quotation, so the first reply already answers the engineer's first question.
An account plan for each large customer
A page per customer on who decides, what they buy and what is due next.
A buyer list for steel castings
Named firms in mining, cement, power, rail and valves with the likely part.
A vendor-approval folder
Everything a registration form asks for, in one place.
How the result is measured
- Quotation requests with a drawing and grade
- Quotations followed up with the quality contact
- Vendor registrations started
- Sample castings approved
- Repeat orders from non-top customers
- Share of furnace time booked beyond the top customer
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
How it works
From your first message to the first report.
No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.
First
Your brief
You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.
After the brief
A conversation and a written scope
We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.
Before work starts
Baseline recorded
The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.
After the baseline
The first fix goes live
The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.
As agreed
Report against the baseline
What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.
At renewal
Renew on the numbers
The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.
What we need from you
What to have ready before we talk.
None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.
- Grades poured and the standards you cast to
- Heat-treatment and testing arrangements, in-house or outsourced
- Largest and smallest piece you have cast
- List of customers and the parts they buy
- Past test reports, with customer details removed where needed
Export and new regions
Selling steel casting beyond your home market.
Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.
OEMs and distributors of heavy castings
Overseas steel casting buyers include equipment makers and stockists who resell. Which suits you depends on your weight range and quality records.
Third-party inspection and certificates
Many overseas buyers name an inspection agency. Confirm which one the buyer accepts before you quote the lot.
Payment security on heavy orders
Large orders need a payment arrangement agreed early. Your bank and adviser set it, not the marketing page.

Why us
Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.
Marketing and sales, as one job
Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.
The person on the first call does the work
No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.
A baseline before anything starts
Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.
The fee in writing, split three ways
Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.
No guarantees we cannot keep
The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
One office, and we say so
Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options
Ways to work with us.

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.
Option 2
One fix, scoped
Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.
Option 3

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.
Option 4
Guidance for your own team or agency
We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
