Manufacturing · Casting & Foundry

We will pour whatever pattern walks in, and that is exactly why nobody remembers what we are good at.

Sand casting is the process that needs the least tooling, which is why many buyers reach for it first. A pattern in wood, resin or metal is enough to begin. That also means the buyer can pick up and move to another sand foundry with the same pattern and little cost.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Foundry inspectors examine cooled metal castings and mould patterns

In one paragraph

Sand casting means packing sand around a pattern to form a mould, then pouring molten metal into it, and suits a wide range of sizes and metals in low to medium volumes. GullySales helps sand foundries describe the patterns, metals and weight range they handle, and reach the buyers who need a casting without a die.

So the sale is rarely to the pattern. It is to the person at the foundry who answers, quotes sensibly and delivers when promised.

Who it is for

This is written for you if sand casting is what you make or sell.

  • Green sand and no-bake sand foundries working in iron, steel and non-ferrous metals
  • Shops that make their own patterns in wood or resin
  • Foundries serving agricultural machinery, pump, textile and general engineering buyers
  • Units doing one-off and small-batch repair or replacement castings

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A foundry looking for long, high-volume releases, which suit die processes better
  • A unit that cannot keep a pattern store in order and loses patterns between jobs

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of sand casting.

  1. The pattern, who owns it and where it lives

The buyer has either a pattern already or wants one made. They ask what a pattern costs, how long it lasts and what happens if it breaks.

  2. Metal and weight

Sand foundries are chosen by the metal poured and the heaviest piece. A buyer with a two-hundred-kilogram casting looks for a shop that has done one.

  3. Finish and casting defects

Surface finish, blow holes and sand inclusions are the usual disputes. Buyers prefer a shop that says what it inspects and how.

  4. Reply speed on a repair job

A factory whose machine is stopped needs a replacement part now. The foundry that answers the call within the hour gets the order.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell sand casting.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “We get calls only when someone's machine has stopped”

Breakdown work arrives with urgency and leaves without a relationship. Nobody follows up when the machine is running again.

  • “Our patterns sit with the customer and we cannot tell who is buying what”

The foundry has a pattern store and no list of whose patterns, how often used or when they last ordered.

  • “A competitor next door quotes lower and wins”

In a cluster the neighbouring shop is the benchmark. There is nothing on the foundry's page that separates it.

What we do

What you get for sand casting.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A pattern register tied to customers

Shows who owns each pattern, when it last ran and who to call.

  2. A range page by metal and weight

Lets a buyer see in one minute whether you can pour their part.

  3. An urgent-enquiry reply routine

A fixed first reply with questions on part, metal and need-by date, handled by a named person.

  4. Listings for replacement castings

Part-type entries written for a plant engineer, not a generic catalogue.

How the result is measured

  • Qualified quotation requests
  • Urgent enquiries answered and converted
  • Patterns with a repeat order
  • Quotations followed up
  • New plants supplied beyond existing customers
  • Repeat orders per pattern

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • A list of patterns held and for which customers
  • Metals poured and the heaviest piece cast
  • Photographs of the sand plant and finished castings
  • Recent enquiries, urgent or planned
  • The names of the cluster competitors buyers compare you with

Export and new regions

Selling sand casting beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Importers who buy spares and replacement castings

Overseas distributors of machinery want matching spare castings from India. Your own export enquiries will tell you if that is a route open to you.

  2. Pattern shipment and drawings

A foreign buyer may send a drawing and not a pattern, or ship the pattern to you. Agree who bears the cost in the first reply.

FAQ

Questions about selling sand casting.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Why do buyers move patterns between foundries?
Because the pattern is cheap to move and the foundry is easy to change. Keeping the buyer means keeping the reply fast and the quality steady.
Can we reach customers outside our cluster town?
Yes. Plants elsewhere search for the part, not the town. A page by metal, weight and use puts you in front of them.
What should we do about urgent breakdown orders?
Answer the call, deliver, then follow up after delivery. The follow-up is what turns a breakdown job into a planned order.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
