Manufacturing · CNC Machining & Precision Engineering

Very few buyers need what our machine can do, and none of them know we have it.

A 5-axis machine is expensive, and it only pays back with the right work. The buyer is an engineer with a geometry problem: a blade, a manifold with angled ports, a complex mould insert. They are not browsing, and they judge you on parts you have already cut, the CAM software you use and your inspection.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

A machinist measures a precision component beside CNC equipment

In one paragraph

5-axis machining cuts a part from several sides in one setup, using a machine that tilts or rotates the part or the tool, and is used for complex shapes such as impellers, moulds and aerospace structures. GullySales helps 5-axis owners find the small number of engineers who need that capability and show them the parts and software behind it.

Who it is for

This is written for you if 5-Axis machining is what you make or sell.

  • Shops that have invested in a 5-axis machining centre and need work worthy of it
  • Makers of impellers, turbine parts and complex housings
  • Tool rooms cutting mould inserts and cores with angled surfaces
  • Contract machinists approaching aerospace, medical or motorsport buyers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A shop that bought a 3+2 machine and intends to sell it as general machining
  • A unit that cannot show any complex part it has already made

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of 5-Axis machining.

  1. The part cannot be made another way

Buyers come when three-axis shops have said no or quoted many setups. They need to see that you have solved a similar shape.

  2. CAM software and programming skill

The engineer asks who programs, on which package, and whether you simulate collision before cutting. This is a trust question about people more than machines.

  3. Material and surface requirements

Titanium, Inconel, aluminium billet or tool steel each raise different questions about tooling and finish. Your experience with each is asked about.

  4. Inspection on complex surfaces

A CMM with scanning or a vision system is expected for freeform surfaces. A report format that matches the model is part of the offer.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell 5-Axis machining.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “The machine is idle between the odd job”

A 5-axis cell waits for a part nobody sends. The owner fills time with ordinary work that does not repay the machine.

  • “Our best parts are under NDA”

The impressive work cannot be shown. Without any examples, an engineer has nothing to judge, so the shop needs a few parts it can show openly.

  • “We are hard to find even by the right people”

The searches that matter are narrow and technical. A page about general machining does not appear for them.

What we do

What you get for 5-Axis machining.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A showcase part set shown with permission

Three or four sample parts made for the purpose, with the time saved by single setup explained. It gives an engineer evidence without breaking an NDA.

  2. A programming and simulation note

The CAM package, who programs, and how collision checks are done. It answers the question an engineer is likely to ask second.

  3. A material experience table

Which alloys you have cut, which you have not, and what tooling you use. Saying what you have not done builds trust with a careful buyer.

  4. A technical article on a real geometry problem

One long page about a type of part and how it is held and cut. It is what a narrow search finds.

  5. A short list of target engineering teams

Named companies and roles. The outreach goes to those who design the parts, not to a general mailing list.

How the result is measured

  • Technical enquiries received
  • Drawings or models received
  • Follow-up on each quotation
  • Trial parts ordered
  • Repeat orders
  • Engineering contacts reached

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Machine model, axes configuration and work envelope
  • CAM software and the person who programs
  • A few parts you can photograph and describe openly
  • Materials you have machined, including any difficult ones
  • Inspection equipment and report format
  • Sectors you would like to supply: aerospace, medical, motorsport, moulds

Export and new regions

Selling 5-Axis machining beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Overseas engineering buyers

Small aerospace, medical and motorsport suppliers abroad look for Indian shops with real 5-axis capability. Your own export enquiries and known contacts are the place to begin.

  2. What the sample must carry

A full inspection report, material certificate and process notes. Documents expected by an aerospace buyer differ, and what applies is confirmed with the buyer and your adviser.

  3. Fairs and technical forums

Engineering fairs and professional forums where such buyers appear are checked against the ones you already attend.

FAQ

Questions about selling 5-Axis machining.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is it worth advertising a 5-axis machine on IndiaMART?
It brings a few right enquiries among many wrong ones, because the marketplace buyer often wants cheap three-axis work. Your own technical pages and direct approaches to engineers are better aimed.
How do I show capability if my work is under NDA?
Make sample parts of your own and describe the method. An engineer reading how a shape was held and cut can judge the shop without seeing a customer's part.
Do I need aerospace approvals before I market to that sector?
Do not imply any. State what you can do and what you hold, and discuss approvals with the certifying body or your adviser. Buyers will ask, and a plain answer is better than a vague one.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.
