Everyone makes a bolt, so the buyer picks the one who answers first.

Fasteners are the most compared part in any bill of materials. A buyer has the thread, the length, the grade and the finish in a line on the requisition, and sends it to every maker they know. The reply that comes back first, with a rate and a delivery date, tends to win the trial lot.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Fasteners product collection

In one paragraph

Fasteners are the bolts, nuts, screws, studs and washers that hold assemblies together, made to a thread, size, property class and finish. GullySales builds the size-by-size catalogue and the quotation routine that put a fastener maker in front of OEM stores and bulk buyers.

The catch is volume. Standard sizes can come from a stockist in the next lane, so a maker with no edge on special or high-tensile work is competing on rate alone.

Who it is for

This is written for you if fasteners is what you make or sell.

  • Cold-forging units making bolts, nuts and screws in standard sizes
  • Makers of special and made-to-drawing fasteners, studs and turned fasteners
  • Stainless steel fastener makers selling to process plants and exporters
  • Plating and coating shops that also manufacture fasteners

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A stockist who buys by the tonne and resells. That is a trading business.
  • A unit running only on one OEM's schedule with no spare capacity to take a new customer.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of fasteners.

  1. Thread, length, property class and finish

The enquiry is a specification line. A buyer who cannot see your range by thread and property class sends the enquiry to someone whose range they can see.

  2. Material and plating certificates

Automotive and machine-building buyers ask for the material certificate, and for plating thickness or salt spray records where the finish matters. They want them with the lot.

  3. Sample lots and the first-article check

A new source sends a small lot for dimensional and torque checks before any regular order is placed.

  4. Packing and labelling

Bulk cartons, loose weight or counted bags, with a label the stores can read. A wrong pack can cost an order as quickly as a wrong dimension.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell fasteners.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “They want fifteen sizes and we send a price list in PDF”

The buyer cannot filter a PDF. A page per size range with a request-quote button lets the buyer pick the lines and send them.

  • “A big buyer quotes us against Ludhiana and Rajkot”

You are not going to win on rate alone against a cluster of fastener makers. Delivery reliability, certificates and small-lot flexibility are what you can show.

  • “Special fasteners are our margin and nobody knows we do them”

Studs, flange bolts and turned fasteners to drawing are not on your site, so the buyer who needs one never finds you.

The scope

The work we would propose for fasteners.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for fasteners.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A size and grade selector page

Lets a buyer find a fastener by thread, length, class and finish before they ring.

  2. A made-to-drawing request form

Collects the drawing, lot size and delivery date so the first reply is a quotation.

  3. A certificate pack page

States which material and plating records you give with a lot, so quality teams stop asking by phone.

  4. A quotation follow-up sheet

Each open quote with a next call and an owner.

How the result is measured

  • Quotation requests with a quantity
  • Special-to-drawing enquiries
  • Follow-up completed on each quotation
  • Trial lots won
  • Repeat orders by customer

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your size and grade list with the standards you make to
  • Quotations sent to bulk buyers in the last season
  • Two or three drawings of special fasteners you have made, if the customer allows
  • Plating and testing records you hand over with a lot
  • Photographs of the packing and labelling

Export and new regions

Selling fasteners beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Importers and industrial distributors

Overseas fastener buyers are mostly importers and industrial distributors who want a stated grade and standard, with test certificates. Begin with the export buyers you already supply.

  2. Standards and packing

They compare on the standard you make to, the certificate you supply and the pallet or carton packing. Have the set ready before you reply.

FAQ

Questions about selling fasteners.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do I stop being compared only on rate?
Show what rate does not capture: lots delivered on the promised date, the certificate set, and the ability to make a special size in a small lot. A buyer weighs those once they can see them.
Should I list every size online?
List the families and the common sizes with a way to ask for others. A thousand-row table nobody searches helps no one.
Can we get OEM buyers or only small traders from the internet?
Both come, and the form decides which you spot. A quantity and a drawing field separates the OEM lot from a pack of fifty.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
