Vocational training institutes · Lead generation

Count the walk-in, the banner call and the agent's list as enquiries, not only the form.

Lead generation for a vocational training institute is bringing in enquiries from students and parents who want a specific trade course, and recording each one so it can be followed. GullySales sets up the sources, a single register for all of them, and a way to see which ones filled seats.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For vocational training institutes

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Walk-ins are the biggest source and nobody writes them down”

The family comes in, tours the workshop and leaves. If the visit is not entered before closing, the biggest source of enquiries leaves no trace.

  • “Agents bring names, not admissions”

A mobiliser hands over a long list of phone numbers collected at a fair or a school. Some are old, some are duplicates, and paying for the list rewards the length of it.

  • “One boy, three enquiries”

He fills a form on Monday, rings the banner number on Tuesday and walks in on Saturday. The register shows three leads and the centre makes three different offers.

What we do

What we deliver for vocational training institutes.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A single enquiry register

Walk-ins, calls, WhatsApp, forms, directory enquiries and agent lists in one record, with course asked for, qualification and source.

Result: Every enquiry has a name beside it.

  2. A source question asked at the desk

How did you hear about us, asked at the walk-in and on every call, with choices that match the real sources.

Result: The register shows which banner, reel or person brought each student.

  3. A duplicate check

Each new number searched against the register before it is entered, and the matching record updated.

Result: One student is one lead.

  4. A short qualification note

Course wanted, qualification, who is paying, preferred timing and whether they can visit, filled in by the counsellor in a minute.

Result: Counsellors call the families most likely to enrol first.

  5. Agent lists checked and paid on admissions

A sheet for each agent's names, checked for duplicates and marked with the source, so commission follows paid seats.

Result: You pay for students and not for lists.

  6. Sources compared with paid seats

Enquiries, visits and admissions by source and course, set against the baseline from the audit.

Result: You see which source fills seats and which only fills the register.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

The places an enquiry for a training course comes from, and what to record and say for each.

A walk-in at the centre
Enter name, number, course and who came with them before the family leaves. Show the workshop, then book a demo class on the spot instead of handing over a leaflet.
A call to the number on a banner, auto sticker or wall
Ask the course wanted and where they saw the number, and note both. Use a different number or code for each banner so the source needs no guessing.
Google Maps and directory calls
Mark the call as a Maps, JustDial or Sulekha enquiry. These callers are comparing, so offer a visit and send the fee sheet by message while they are on the line.
A field agent or a school talk
Record the agent or the school against every name and check the number against the register. Ring the students within the same day while the visit is fresh.
An advert form or a WhatsApp click
Reply from the institute's number with the course page and the next batch date. Check the platform's current rules before building a message list from form fills.
A past student's recommendation
Record who sent them. Mention the person by name on the call if they agreed to it, and thank the referrer once the student has joined.

Who it is for

This is written for these vocational training institutes.

  • Computer and IT skill institutes teaching DCA, hardware and networking, and Tally with GST
  • Electrician, plumbing, AC and refrigeration, and solar installer training centres
  • Mobile phone repair and CCTV installation institutes
  • Fashion designing, tailoring and beauty academies
  • Healthcare skill centres for nursing assistants and lab and X-ray technicians
  • Workshop trades such as welding, CNC and VMC operation and two-wheeler mechanics
  • Hospitality, retail and security-service training centres
  • Training partners running government-funded or CSR-funded batches

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for vocational training institutes

  1. 1

    Audit the last batch cycle

We trace where last cycle's students came from, how quickly the desk replied, how many visited and how many paid, using your admission register, call log and fee receipts.

  2. 2

Fix the register and the reply

One enquiry record for every source, a fee sheet every counsellor uses, and saved WhatsApp replies for batch dates, certificate and instalments.

  3. 3

Rebuild the course and certificate pages

A page per course with eligibility, tools, fee and the issuing body, and a page on tie-ups written from what employers have agreed.

  4. 4

Bring students in before the batch starts

Search, Business Profile, social and local outreach set up ahead of each course's season, with budget moved towards whatever produces workshop visits.

  5. 5

Follow through to the second instalment

Each enquiry followed to a paid seat or a clear no, and each new student followed through the first fortnight, measured against the baseline.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we buy lists of students' numbers?
No. People on a bought list never asked to hear from you, data protection rules are tightening, and the calls waste counsellor time. Spend that effort on the families who came to your door or your page.
What counts as a qualified enquiry for a skill course?
A person who names a course, can join the batch you teach, can reach the centre and has someone to pay. Write those four on the register. A family that fits two is worth a call, and one that fits none gets a polite note.
An agent says he brought the student. The student says he walked in. Who gets credit?
Decide the rule before it happens and write it down, such as the first recorded contact keeps the source until the batch starts. The register's dates settle it, which is why the entry must be made when the name arrives.
How do we treat callers who only ask about a job?
Answer politely, tell them what the course teaches and note them as job seekers so they do not count as enquiries. If a few later ask about a course, move them across. It keeps your conversion figures honest.
Can we promise a job after the course?
No. Say what the centre does: interview preparation, employers who have visited and the trainees they took, each named only with their agreement. Rules on placement claims differ by regulator and state and change, so check with a legal adviser before printing a line about jobs.
Our certificate is our own, not a government one. Do we have to hide that?
Do not hide it. Say whose certificate it is, what was assessed and which employers have accepted it. Families trust a plain statement more than a vague word like certified, and a claim that the certificate carries more weight than it does costs you at the first employer interview.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
