Vocational training institutes · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a student searches for a trade course near home.

Local SEO for a vocational training institute is making your centre appear in Google Maps and the local results when someone searches a trade course near them. GullySales completes the Google Business Profile for each centre, fixes the listings that disagree about your name and address, and tracks calls and directions.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For vocational training institutes

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The student will not cross the city”

A young man on a first wage or a woman who must be home by evening picks the nearest centre that looks genuine. If you are not on the map for that locality, you are not in the comparison.

  • “The profile says computer education and nothing else”

A single broad category and no course names means a search for AC mechanic course finds a centre that teaches it, and never shows yours.

  • “The old name, a rival's near-identical name and a franchise label”

Reviews and calls split across an old listing, a similarly named centre two streets away and the parent brand's own page.

What we do

What we deliver for vocational training institutes.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile for each teaching centre

Registered name, pin on the building and not the road, staffed hours and the floor to climb to, since the signboard is often on the ground floor.

Result: A family can find the door.

  2. Categories and a course list

The right primary category plus each course entered as a service, so a search for a trade matches the profile.

Result: The profile appears for the course and not only for the institute's name.

  3. Photographs of the workshop and classroom

The lab, the tools, the practical room and the batch at work, taken with permission and replaced when the premises change.

Result: A student sees what they will be using.

  4. Posts and Q&A for batch dates

Start dates, demo class days and the answers to questions callers ask most, written ahead of each intake.

Result: The profile shows an institute that is open and enrolling.

  5. Listings checked against one name and address

JustDial, Sulekha, the certifying body's centre list and the old listings, corrected or merged to match the profile and the signboard.

Result: Calls and reviews land on one centre.

  6. Calls and directions counted against the baseline

The calls, direction requests and visits from the profile, set against the baseline recorded at the audit.

Result: You see whether the map brings people to the door.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

What decides whether a training centre appears when a student searches near home.

Relevance: categories and course names
Name the trades you actually teach as services, not just a general institute category. Match the wording students use, such as AC mechanic or bridal makeup, not an internal batch code.
Distance: where the pin really is
Place the pin on the entrance. If the centre is upstairs behind a shop, add the landmark and the floor in the description so a student arriving by bus does not give up.
Prominence: reviews, mentions and listings
Recent reviews from students and parents, the centre named on trade and community sites, and a website that backs the profile. Check Google's current guidelines on what counts.
Name, address and phone the same everywhere
Compare the profile, JustDial, Sulekha, your website, the signboard and the certificate. One old number or a former address on a listing is enough to split your calls.
Franchise or shared premises
Where two institutes share a building or a name, state which centre this profile is for and who owns the listing. Check that the brand has not already claimed your address.
Hours that are really staffed
Put the hours the counsellor is at the desk, not the hours the workshop runs. A family arriving to a locked door on a Saturday writes the review.

Who it is for

This is written for these vocational training institutes.

  • Computer and IT skill institutes teaching DCA, hardware and networking, and Tally with GST
  • Electrician, plumbing, AC and refrigeration, and solar installer training centres
  • Mobile phone repair and CCTV installation institutes
  • Fashion designing, tailoring and beauty academies
  • Healthcare skill centres for nursing assistants and lab and X-ray technicians
  • Workshop trades such as welding, CNC and VMC operation and two-wheeler mechanics
  • Hospitality, retail and security-service training centres
  • Training partners running government-funded or CSR-funded batches

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for vocational training institutes

  1. 1

    Audit the last batch cycle

We trace where last cycle's students came from, how quickly the desk replied, how many visited and how many paid, using your admission register, call log and fee receipts.

  2. 2

Fix the register and the reply

One enquiry record for every source, a fee sheet every counsellor uses, and saved WhatsApp replies for batch dates, certificate and instalments.

  3. 3

Rebuild the course and certificate pages

A page per course with eligibility, tools, fee and the issuing body, and a page on tie-ups written from what employers have agreed.

  4. 4

Bring students in before the batch starts

Search, Business Profile, social and local outreach set up ahead of each course's season, with budget moved towards whatever produces workshop visits.

  5. 5

Follow through to the second instalment

Each enquiry followed to a paid seat or a clear no, and each new student followed through the first fortnight, measured against the baseline.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Our centre is on the first floor with a hardware shop below. Will that cause trouble?
Not if the profile is accurate. Give the exact pin, the floor and the shop name as a landmark in the description, and add a photograph of the staircase. Check Google's current guidelines on shared and upstairs premises.
Two institutes share our building. How do we avoid mix-ups?
Use your own registered name and a separate phone number on the profile, and state the floor. Ask visitors to check the signboard photographs. If the other institute has claimed the same pin, report it through Google's own process.
We are a franchise of a bigger training brand. Who owns the profile?
Ask the franchisor in writing before you create one. Some brands manage every centre from one account, others expect you to hold it. Your agreement should say who keeps the profile and the reviews if the franchise ends.
A rival has put up a fake branch near us. What can we do?
Report the listing to Google, with your own proof of address and the facts that show it is false. Do not post fake reviews against it. Removal is not in anyone's control, so keep your own profile and reviews strong in the meantime.
Can we promise a job after the course?
No. Say what the centre does: interview preparation, employers who have visited and the trainees they took, each named only with their agreement. Rules on placement claims differ by regulator and state and change, so check with a legal adviser before printing a line about jobs.
Our certificate is our own, not a government one. Do we have to hide that?
Do not hide it. Say whose certificate it is, what was assessed and which employers have accepted it. Families trust a plain statement more than a vague word like certified, and a claim that the certificate carries more weight than it does costs you at the first employer interview.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
