Manufacturing · Forging & Metal Forming

We turn out millions of small parts and buyers still think a bolt is a bolt.

Cold forging is a volume business. The machine is a header or a former that turns wire into parts at speed, and the economics depend on keeping it running. A shop with idle header time loses money on every hour.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Inspectors check forged shafts and formed metal parts

In one paragraph

Cold forging shapes metal at or near room temperature in dies, giving fasteners, pins, rivets and small parts with good surface finish and little waste. GullySales helps cold forgers show the wire sizes, headers and finishing they run, so buyers of fasteners and small components can judge fit before they send a drawing.

The buyers are fastener distributors, automotive tier-twos and appliance makers who order by drawing or by standard. They compare shops on capacity, material and price, and rarely meet the person who runs the machine.

Who it is for

This is written for you if cold forging is what you make or sell.

  • Cold heading shops making bolts, screws, rivets, pins and special fasteners
  • Units with multi-station formers for complex small parts
  • Shops that thread, plate and heat-treat in-house
  • Makers who supply to fastener distributors as well as OEMs

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A shop that cannot show wire sourcing and material traceability
  • A unit that wants to make large parts, which belong in hot forging

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of cold forging.

  1. Wire diameter and header capacity

The buyer checks whether your headers cover the diameter and length of the part. A table of machines and the range each covers saves a call.

  2. Material and its certificate

Low-carbon, alloy and stainless wire are named on the drawing. Buyers ask where the wire comes from and whether it comes with a test certificate.

  3. Strength class and testing

Fastener buyers ask about property class, hardness and torque tests. Say what you test in-house.

  4. Plating and finishing

Zinc, nickel or other plating is often outsourced. Buyers want to know who does it and what is checked afterwards.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell cold forging.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Distributors buy on rate and switch with a phone call”

A distributor with five suppliers moves the volume to the cheapest. Without a direct relationship with OEMs, the shop has no loyalty to rely on.

  • “Our header time is full of low-margin parts”

The shop takes what comes. There is no plan for moving the machine hours towards parts that pay better.

  • “Buyers cannot tell us from the other twenty fastener shops”

The website shows a list of fasteners. It does not say which special parts the shop makes.

The scope

The work we would propose for cold forging.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for cold forging.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A machine and wire range sheet

Headers, diameters and lengths in one page.

  2. A special-parts range page

Examples of non-standard parts made, with material and finish.

  3. A distributor review sheet

Which distributor sells what of yours and what they pay.

  4. An OEM prospect list

Named makers and the cold-forged parts they likely buy.

How the result is measured

  • Quotation requests with drawing
  • Special-part enquiries
  • OEMs added beyond distributors
  • Sample approvals
  • Repeat orders from OEMs
  • Distributor volume against direct volume

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Header and former list with wire ranges
  • Materials and wire sources
  • Parts made and annual quantities
  • Plating, threading and heat-treatment arrangements
  • Distributor and OEM customer list

Export and new regions

Selling cold forging beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Overseas fastener distributors and OEMs

Importers buy standard and special fasteners from India. Existing export enquiries tell you which sort of buyer reaches you.

  2. Standards and test reports

Overseas buyers name the standard on the order. We will ask what you already test to, not say what applies.

  3. Packing and container loads

Fasteners are heavy for their value, so packing and freight shape the quotation. Settle them early.

FAQ

Questions about selling cold forging.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How do we move from standard bolts to special parts?
Show the special parts you already make, with materials and finishes. Buyers of engineered parts search for the part, so the page must name it.
Is it worth selling direct to OEMs and not through distributors?
For parts with a drawing, yes. The margin is better and the relationship stays with you. Keep distributors for the standard items.
Can a fastener shop use IndiaMART well?
If listings are by part and class and not by the word fasteners. The rest is how fast the first reply goes out.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on what is being changed and how many of the people who matter see it. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
