Manufacturing · Forging & Metal Forming

Vehicle makers buy from vendors they have audited, and we cannot get an audit without an introduction.

Automotive buyers work through approved vendor lists. Getting on the list takes an introduction, a vendor form, a quality audit and a sample run, and it can take a long time. The shop that is still replying in the fifth month is the one that gets listed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Inspectors check forged shafts and formed metal parts

In one paragraph

Forged automotive parts are components such as crankshafts, connecting rods, gear blanks, steering knuckles and axle parts, made by forging for passenger, commercial and two-wheeler vehicles. GullySales helps forgers reach tier-one and OEM purchase teams, prepare for vendor registration and keep the approval conversation alive.

A forging shop with good metallurgy and no introduction goes nowhere. The work here is to produce the introduction, then keep the paperwork ready.

Who it is for

This is written for you if forged automotive parts is what you make or sell.

  • Forging shops supplying crankshafts, connecting rods, gear blanks and axle parts
  • Shops that supply tier-one automotive firms and want OEM exposure
  • Units serving two-wheeler, tractor and commercial vehicle buyers
  • Forgers with machining, heat treatment and non-destructive testing in-house

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • A shop without a quality system it can show to an auditor
  • A forger who wants to be on an approved list this season. Approval takes as long as the buyer takes.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of forged automotive parts.

  1. The vendor development engineer

A named person at the tier-one or OEM looks for new vendors against a part list. They need your profile, equipment list and quality summary in a form they can circulate.

  2. Quality system and audit

The buyer asks which quality system the shop follows and visits to check. We can describe your records, but your auditor and customer decide what counts.

  3. Process capability and the control plan

For safety-critical parts the buyer asks for capability studies and a control plan. Have the records ready.

  4. PPAP-style sample submission

A sample lot goes with a document set, and the buyer reviews it. Ask the buyer which format they use; do not assume.

Where orders are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell forged automotive parts.

In the words owners use on the first call.

  • “Tier-one buyers will not return our calls”

A cold call to a purchase desk gets nowhere. The shop has no named engineer to write to and no document to attach.

  • “We passed the audit and then heard nothing”

No one at the shop follows up after an audit. The buyer assumes lack of interest.

  • “We have the capacity but not the paperwork”

Records exist across people and folders. A vendor form takes weeks to assemble.

The scope

The work we would propose for forged automotive parts.

Measured on qualified enquiries, quotation requests, follow-up on each quotation, trial orders won and repeat orders. Anything here that needs a platform, directory or tool we have not used with you is confirmed with you before it goes in the scope.

What we do

What you get for forged automotive parts.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A vendor-development contact list

Named roles at target firms with the part they buy.

  2. A vendor-registration pack

Everything a registration form asks for, in one folder.

  3. A capability sheet for automotive buyers

Presses, heat treatment, testing and parts supplied.

  4. A follow-up plan after audits and samples

Each stage has a next call.

  5. A key-account plan

    One page per large customer.

How the result is measured

  • Vendor development contacts reached
  • Vendor registrations started
  • Audits scheduled and completed
  • Samples submitted and approved
  • Quotations followed up
  • Repeat releases from new automotive customers

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before we talk.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Quality system documents you hold
  • Equipment list, including testing and inspection
  • Parts supplied now and customer names you may share
  • Previous vendor registration forms completed
  • Audit reports and sample approval records

Export and new regions

Selling forged automotive parts beyond your home market.

Where you sell decides standards, documents, payment terms and freight. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new region we start from your own enquiries, your existing buyers and the directories you already use.

  1. Overseas tier-one and aftermarket buyers

Automotive buyers abroad source forged parts through global sourcing offices and aftermarket distributors. Which fits depends on your current export contacts.

  2. Quality documents for export programmes

Foreign OEMs ask for their own document sets. We will ask what you have already issued, not say what applies.

  3. Logistics for heavy forged parts

Heavy forgings make freight a significant cost. Settle terms in the first quotation.

FAQ

Questions about selling forged automotive parts.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long does it take to become an approved vendor?
It depends entirely on the buyer. The process is an introduction, a vendor form, an audit and a sample. We cannot shorten it, but we can keep the shop responsive.
Can marketing get us a tier-one meeting?
It can get you an introduction to the right engineer, with a capability sheet. The meeting itself is earned by what the shop can show.
Do we need to mention our quality certification?
State what you hold, as it is. The buyer or their adviser decides if it is enough. Do not describe it as more than it is.
Should we pursue aftermarket as well as OEM?
It is a different buyer with different volumes and approval. Many forgers try both. We would list them separately and decide in the first conversation.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever the work touches, such as your profiles, your website or your accounts, and time with the people who can answer our questions.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.
